The Villianess story: A 100 ways to kill your husband-Chapter 569: The waiting game part 2
Maledicta had a perfect grin on her face as she watched the follower depart the divine realm. She went to enjoy some wine with Nyxoria, a dear friend who was completely unaware.
Maledicta was plotting to ruin her brother’s life. "You seem to be in a good mood." Nyxoria chimed, sipping some wine. Maledicta shrugged.."I heard Raziel hasn’t found his dear mate these past 4 years." She chimed in.
Acting like she wasn’t behind it. Nyxoria’s eyes flickered. "Do you have anything to do with it?" She asked her friend, knowing Maledicta never got over her resentment for Raziel.
Maledicta shrugged, twirling her cup. "Do you think a mere goddess of beauty and happiness can fool the king of Netheralis who controls the underworld and Hades?" She asked. Nyxoria frowned. Raziel couldn’t be easily fooled, but why hasn’t he found Elysia?
She gave Maledicta a thoughtful look. She heard whispers that her friend had attempted to kill Elysia a few years back. Although she never asked, she knew deep down it was true. She wondered if Maledicta was successful but if that’s the case.
Raziel was meant to be able to feel his soulmate’s death. "Do you think Elysia might be hiding from Raziel?" She asked, concerned for her brother. Although she never liked Elysia. A reason why Raziel can’t find Elysia might be that she is deliberately hiding from Raziel.
Maledicta’s narrowed "who knows. There are a lot of delicious men in the mortal realm." She chimed. The glass in Nyxoria’s hand shattered. She was unable to rein in her fury
"She can’t dare." Nyxoria snarled. Maledicta giggled, the light in her eyes faded.
After having a good drink, she went back to her palace only to be welcomed by a bloodied servant waiting for her. "I failed to get the dagger, my lady." She reported
Maledicta’s face turned into a scowl. She feigned anger. "You failed a simple request." She barked. The servant. "I am sorry my lady. She was saved by a man. He was too strong for a mortal. I fear he carries Prince Cassius’s blood." The servant report.
Maledicta smiled then squatted before the servant. "Does anyone know of this mission?" She asked the servant. "No, my lady. I kept it hidden." The servant said..
"That’s good, now go to sleep." She whispered. It was a lower divine being. She could easily kill her without any repercussions.
The servant’s eyes closed forever. Maledicta smirked. Things were coming together. Although she knew Elysia had the dagger the mission was never to get the dagger but to force Elysia to rely on Kaiden.
After that, she went back into the shadows and let the rest run its course. It was a long wait, but an immortal had all the time in the world to waste.
Finally, it happened, Elysia got pregnant, it was finally time she got rid of the goddess, so she started to whisper into Eleanor’s heart..
Mortals were tools in the hands of the gods. She could easily bend Eleanor to her will, manipulate scenarios where Eleanor heard exactly what she wanted the queen to hear. Eleanor’s heart was soon filled with resentment for Ariel.
When it came to Eleanor she hit the jackpot. Eleanor just needed a little push and she handled the rest herself.
Maledicta’s plan was to have Elysia buried for life. She knew the poison could not kill Elysia so being buried alive still seemed fun.
Unfortunately, Elysia unexpectedly regained her memories thanks to Eleanor’s poison. It was a minor setback, but the second part of her plan was about to begin.
She waited for Raziel to reign chaos after finding out about her wife’s betrayal, but to her biggest disappointment, he didn’t. Instead, he started investigating.
Maledicta withdrew from the scene for a while. This would have been a sign to give up, but Raziel’s unwavering love ignited her hatred.. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
She shifted her focus from Elysia to the boy of the prophecy. The one met to prove that light and darkness could unite. How annoying. Raziel couldn’t even bring himself to kill the bastard but it was fine..
If she could ruin Cedric’s life, where he is fated to kill his soulmate then her ego would be satisfied. After all, she was a bored goddess without much to do..
Cedric started to grow, Eleanor’s resentment was the perfect catalyst. To make things fun she started whispering in the servant’s heart about the cursed boy.
She added fuel, giving Kaiden recurring dreams of Ariel’s death, reminding him that Cedric was the cause. He easily fell for it because he already hated Cedric all she did was nurture that hatred.
She sat back and watched with happiness and disgust how the father-son relationship failed.
Her next action was to find Cedric’s soul mate. At first, she thought it would be one of the gods since he was a divine being, but she was wrong.
Maledicta visited Temeris, the god of time. She wanted to have a glimpse of his future. Temeris didn’t know her intentions and had found nothing suspicious about a god inquiring about a mortal’s future. He showed her Cedric’s future, one that matched the plot of’ The Priestess and Dragons.’.
"So this is his future." She asked Temeris. A god who had a scholarly appearance. He was similar to Cassius. They were gods with enormous knowledge.
" He is fated to kill his wife because he was obsessed with another woman," Temeris answered with a nod. Maledicta smiled happily and left. At the exit, she ran into Cassius who was coming to pay a visit to his old friend Temeris
There was nothing out of place as gods normally visit Temeris to learn about the future. Cassius and Maledicta’s relationship was bad, resulting from her history with Maximus and Raziel; she naturally hated the other brother.
Cassius sighed and then entered the room. "You came for a favour," Temeris said with a faint smile.
Cassius smiled. "What makes you think so?" He asked Temeris, taking a seat on the rug. Temeris smiled, taking a sip of his wine.
"When was the last time you came here, dear friend? You have been occupied in looking after your precious descendants."
Cassius smiled. Although his late mortal lover wasn’t his soul mate, he promised her before he left her that night, because of the rules.
The promise binds him to look after her and their descendants. It was the only way he could pay.
"I guess I am easy to read. Yes, I am here to ask a favour." Cassius said..
"One of Helena’s descendants, Bethany, was betrayed by fate. She prayed for me to look after her baby. I want to inquire about the unborn baby’s fate. Will she survive?"
Cassius didn’t know why Bethany’s prayers plagued his mind.
