"Ho, are you showing off about your little brother?" her friend asked.

"No." Alix answered slowly.

She couldn't explain why she had mentioned the badminton and the trophies. Was she truly showing off as Holea suspected? Was she so desperate for blood related family that she had already latched onto the brother she had just met without realizing it? She walked slowly, pondering on that possibility.

On the other end of the call, Holea shouted at her, "Hey, have you spaced out?"

"No." Alix lied.
