The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system-Chapter 188: I hate storms.
For Caishen, the day was not shaping up as he expected. He had been denied a permit for an abandoned old hotel site which Zhang construction wanted to rebuild and sell. Then his mother showed up to his office unannounced while he and the lawyers were discussing the matter.
She was not alone however, Zhang Bo was right on her heels like a baby goat following it’s mother. When they walked in, Zhang Bo mouthed, ’I am sorry.’

Caishen had no idea why his brother was apologizing but it could not be good if a silent apology was how this conversation was about to be started.
His mother had that look in her eyes which were narrowed in annoyance. She always looked like that when she was about to brew up a storm. He did not like storms, they never brought anything good.
He moved out from behind his desk and came to closer, joining them in the center of his office where they were sitting.
"Mother," he said tentatively. "What a pleasant surprise."
"Not for you it isn’t." she answered curtly.
He knew___, he just knew immediately that Zhang Bo had let something slip somehow. For a man that was ready to hightail it to Romania to avoid the fall out from the coming storm he sure talked a lot more than necessary.
He looked at his brother and asked with his eyes, ’What did you do?’
Zhang Bo, looked aside, not meeting Caishen’s eyes.
"Don’t do that talking with your eyes behind my back stuff. You know how much I hate it and you are not boys anymore." His mother told them.
Zhang Bo, was quick to apologize. "Sorry mum."
"Sorry mother." Caishen went after him, two seconds slower.
Yura looked from Caishen to Bo and then Caishen again. "Tell me," she said, with a gloomy face.
"About what?" Caishen asked.
"Is it true?" Her eyes moved up and down and her voice tensed up. "Is your father really alive?"
Caishen lowered his head into his right hand and massaged his temples. Yup, there was that throbbing and headache he expected.
"Is this what you have all been hiding from me? All the whispering and secret meetings, avoidance, your grandfather’s over the top happiness. Is it because your father is alive?" She asked in a more distressed voice.
Caishen sighed and looked up. The whole situation was complicated. He could not say yes without explaining the other woman and bastard son. He also couldn’t say no because it would all come out at the end of the day.
"Answer me." she raised her voice demanding for the truth from them.
"Yes." Zhang Bo blurted out.
At the same time however, Caishen responded, "It’s complicated."
Yura leaned back in her chair and laughed hysterically. Out of her right eye, tears that had been waiting for years started flowing and her left eye quickly joined. She started off silently but with every passing second, she became just a bit louder and she buried her face in her hands.
"Mum." Zhang Bo called her in a soft voice. "We didn’t mean to hide it from you. The situation is complicated, father may not be the man you remember."
"Don’t say it." Caishen told his brother through gritted teeth. At least wait for her to cry it out.
This had not been the plan, the plan was to speak to her somewhere she was comfortable. Here, anybody could walk in and see their mother falling apart. He wheeled himself back to his desk and asked his secretary not to allow anyone inside. Then, he contacted Gu Biming and asked him to cancel all of his meetings for the rest of the day.
He returned to his mother and brother and waited in silence for her to stop crying. He felt so helpless just as he had been when he was told that he would never be able to walk again. There was nothing he could do about it just as there was nothing he could do about this.
Caishen’s fingers itched to do something. It was tearing him apart to see his mother crying. He did not see these tears at his father’s funeral, not even on the anniversary of his death so he wondered why she was crying now.
In silence, he just sat there with his head leaning in his hands and a myriad thoughts running through his mind. Like that, they all just stayed for close to an hour, waiting for her to calm down. When she stopped crying, both brothers took a deep relieved breath.
"Mother," he called her softly. "Are you okay?"
Yura was blowing her nose into tissues that Zhang Bo kept handing to her.
Caishen had a refrigerator in his office and he went and got some water for her. Along with it, he brought a flask of chamomile honey tea which Alix had given him in the morning.
"Mother, drink something. You need to soothe your throat. This is chamomile honey tea, it will help you clam down." he told her.
She didn’t reject his politeness and poured herself a cup of the tea. After taking one sip, she put the cup down and then looked at both of her sons.
"Tell me everything. How did you find my Xian?" She commanded.
She called their father by his name and called him ’hers’. The two brothers shared a look that said, ’oh boy’. This talk was going to be like stepping into a minefield with one’s eyes wide open.
Zhang Bo looked at Caishen. "You tell her." he said.
It was obvious that he uncomfortable with the whole situation. The way he kept rubbing his right hand over his chest pocket was an indicator that he wanted a cigarette and he would be smoking right now if he could.
"Bo, Caishen, tell me everything or I will go straight to your grandfather." She threatened.
"That’s the thing mother, we don’t have conclusive evidence that it’s him. We are waiting for DNA test results." Caishen told her.
Since Zhang Bo was useless, she turned to Caishen and focused her attention on him. "Mmm-hmm." she said. She wanted him to go on.
"Someone tried to kill me." Caishen blurted out.
Yura tilted her head and slapped her left ear lightly, unsure if she had heard him incorrectly.
"Could you repeat that please." she told him.
"Someone tried to kill me. My accident, it was planned to look like an accident but Mo Sen and I were suspicious so we started digging into it. That’s when I found Wang Yong, son of Wang Yue who may or may not be out father."
"Mmm-hmm." His mother said.
"I think Wang Yong tried to have me killed. Or maybe he wanted me injured so that he can show up as the new capable first son of the Zhang family.
As for his father Wang Yue....even if it’s our father..." he paused for two seconds, sighed and added, "mother, I don’t think he has any memories of us otherwise he wouldn’t have married another woman, let alone have a bastard child."
Zhang Bo now decided to pitch in. "Even if we bring him back home, we don’t know what kind of man we will be bringing back. He is not the man you remember. Grandfather is using old age as an excuse to escalate things but this could be bad."
Yura nodded and put down the empty tea cup. She poured more into the cup and then asked Caishen. "Why haven’t you gone to the police? If someone tried to kill you then they should be arrested.
Let’s report it to the police today. It will keep the culprit on his toes.
Also, show me a picture. I know your father from head to toe, if it’s him I will know with my heart."
The brothers once more shared a worry filled glance. ’It’s a storm, I hate storms.’ Caishen thought.
Their mother was still in love with their father and that alone in itself was probably going to be a problem.
