The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system-Chapter 195: You have got to be kidding me.
Everyone was soon gathered in the right spot and the hosts introduced the next game.
"Welcome to next games in let's get physical everyone. Today's challenge will be just as tasking as the last one, Maybe even more because for the first time ever, we are inviting guests to join each team for this one game."
Most of the participants looked at each other or at the director, with confusion in their eyes. A few muttered the word 'guests' in a questioning way. The show had never invited guests before.
"We know that you are confused so to clear things up let's bring the guests out now."
Men and women in different sports outfits still, sponsored by S-tep came out from behind the doors. They were smiling and clapping or waving at the cameras.
These guests were also celebrities, well known and recognized easily by everyone in the room. Alix didn't care much about the guest part but what flummoxed her was the sight of her sister Lin Billi.
"You have got to be kidding me." she muttered.
Is she stalking me? Alix asked herself. First, she tried to insert herself into Alix's deal with director Ban and now she was here on this show. What was more stalker-y than such behavior?
Was she stupid? Instead of sitting down to see how she could compose better music, practice the piano or listen and learn from true classic piano geniuses she was here on a show about physical strength.
Pang Jin De leaned his head down and whispered to her, "The ratings must be good for them to be sending other celebrities like this."
"We are not accepting Lin Billi on our team." she replied.
He scowled as his eyes travelled from her to Lin Billi. Was this another rivalry which was going to lead to more drama? Was this season of let's get physical literally asking them to fight each other?
"Cat lady, how many enemies do you have?"
"Infinite." she answered.
The director chuckled and saved that footage for VIP viewers. "Put Lin Billi with Ah Ci." he whispered to his assistant.
As the director desired, guests were assigned teams and Lin Billi joined Ah Ci's team. So Mi who had come on the arrangement of the company was assigned to Alix's team. The two women were happy to see each other and they hugged.
"Your task today is a three person one, that's why guests were invited. They were pointed out to the middle of the auditorium. Dangling ropes were falling from the high ceiling.
"One member of each team will be up in the ceiling searching for pieces of a puzzle. Another person must climb the rope and retrieve all the pieces of a twenty piece puzzle from that member. All these pieces have the group's number on the back. You must climb down and bring the puzzle piece, hand it over to the third teammate before climbing back up again, to receive another piece from your teammate in the ceiling."
A few people groaned. There was a screen at the back which was displaying a man and woman doing exactly as described. All together, one would have to climb the rope forty times at least. Not only would it tire one's arms out it would also be taxing in terms of speed.
"A third member of the team must assemble the puzzle and when they have finished, they must run to that buzzer over there and push it to signal their completion. All teams have just fifty five minutes to accomplish the entire task. The team with the least completed puzzle when time runs out will be automatically eliminated."
"Any questions?" The female host asked.
Someone raised a hand with a question.
"What if every team completes their puzzle in time?"
Behind one of the cameras, the director sneered. Did they think that things were as simple as they sounded?
"In that case, the team with the longest time will be eliminated." she told them.
Another person raised their hands.

"Can we use climbing gloves?"
"No." The director yelled.
Ah Ci raised her hand. "Director, searching for pieces of the puzzle in that dark ceiling is scary for us women. Climbing the rope is also hard for us women. Some teams are at a disadvantage because they have two weak women and one man. While other women are more manly than others...." She looked at Alix deliberately. "To make it fair, some women should not participate in particular tasks where they have an advantage over others."
Alix punched one of her hands with her fist lightly as she glared at Ah Ci. "Hey, do you want me to show you how manly I can be? Director, some women are older than others, maybe they should take on the harder tasks since there is wisdom in age."
Lin Billi stepped a foot in, speaking in a soft voice. "Older sister, miss Ah Ci doesn't mean anything bad...."
"Madam Ah Ci you mean." Alix cut her off.
"Hey..." Ah Ci screeched angrily.
"Hey." Alix replied in a calmer voice.
"Each team has five minutes to assign themselves specific roles and then we begin." the director announced.
Pang Ji De grabbed Alix's arm just in case the two women completely lost it and started fighting. "Let's just decide who will do what." he told her. "You and I can climb the rope but that is not what matters most. The crucial steps here are in locating our puzzle pieces and assembling them. I am not good at assembling puzzles."
They huddled together like a group of footballers before a match speaking reassurances and sharing a game plan. They whispered as if their strategy was a secret meant for their ears alone.
Alix said, "I can assemble the puzzle but speed is crucial. Whoever searches through the ceiling needs to have speedy hands. I will do it. So Mi, can you assemble a puzzle?"
So Mi was blushing, which Alix had already attributed to the young woman finding herself in close quarters with a hunk like Pang Ji De. However, as someone that had spent time around the man, Alix knew that he didn't like unfocused women. If So Mi kept up her nervousness and acted like a fool, Pang Ji De would soon be her nightmare and not dream man.
"So Mi...." Alix called her urgently.
"I..I think I can." the woman answered in a soft voice.
Pang Ji De sent Alix a dissatisfied look. He would have preferred it if the guest was in a more competitive spirit like them.
"Are you sure or do you just think you can?" he asked So Mi.
"It doesn't matter, we have to make do with what we have." Alix told him. "When we finish our tasks we can yell out ideas to her."
"Isn't that cheating?" So Mi asked them.
Alix and Pang Ji De both stared at So Mi in disbelief. Was she simply too innocent or did she not understand what competition was?
