They Wanted a Healer, I Gave Them Trauma-Chapter 76: Iron-ic Healing ()
Rocky’s eyes went wide.
"Damn..." Min muttered from afar.
"Careful not to get squished by them, bud," he added.
Ahrie steadied his footing.
His stance lowered.
Ready again.
Then he rushed toward one of the wolves.
Thrust.
A full-power stab shot forward.
But—
Clang.
The wolf activated its skill.
[Iron Hide (Defensive Trigger)]
The blade bounced off its hardened hide.
The moment Ahrie heard the metallic sound—
He reacted instantly.
He flipped forward in midair and redirected his attack toward another wolf.
Thrust.
Clang.
Again.
He spun, targeted a third.
Clang.
Fourth.
Clang.
Every single thrust bounced off.
No matter who he targeted—
The result was the same.
Every strike of his rapier was deflected by their Iron Hide.
"Tch..."
Ahrie clicked his tongue.
Frustration building as he kept thrusting at the wolves.
He kept attacking the wolves—
Thrust.
Step.
Turn.
But every strike ended the same way.
Clang.
Deflected.
Again.
And again.
While fighting, though—
Ahrie began noticing something.
A small pattern.
So he suddenly backed off.
The wolves stayed on guard, watching him carefully.
Ahrie crouched and picked up a few small rocks from the ground.
Then casually tossed one at a wolf.
Tink.
The rock bounced off its fur.
The wolf didn’t even bother dodging.
From the side—
Koko giggled.
Ahrie glanced at her, clearly disappointed.
"...Aight."
"Then how about this?"
He bent down and grabbed a much bigger rock.
One about the size of a head.
He lifted it over his shoulder.
"HUUUH!"
Ahrie hurled it forward with force.
The wolves reacted.
Four of them dodged immediately.
The fifth one tried to move—
But Ahrie was already rushing straight toward it.
"Ohh no you don’t," he muttered.
The wolf activated its defense.
[Iron Hide (Defensive Trigger)]
Ahrie lunged with his rapier—
But suddenly stopped halfway.
The wolf froze in place.
Its body hardened.
Waiting for the impact.
But the stab never came.
Instead—
Ahrie stepped back.
And started throwing small rocks at it.
One every second.
Tink.
"Six..."
Tink.
"Seven..."
Then—
Puff.
The wolf’s hardened fur slowly returned to normal.
The metallic sheen faded.
Ahrie’s grin slowly stretched across his face.
"KEKEKE... You’re—all—FUCKED!"
Koko watched the fight with her hand on her chin.
"Oiii... wolves," she muttered casually. "You guys wanna join our Link?"
She tilted her head.
"You’d make perfect meat shields— I mean... err... tanks."
Rocky, perched nearby, immediately threw up both tiny paws in a thumbs-up.
"Squeak!"
Min blinked.
"As if those wolves understand squirrel language..." he muttered.
Then he suddenly paused.
"Wai— hold up."
His eyes widened.
"I’M the tank."
"Why do you need more?!" 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
Koko glanced at him.
"Tank who?" she replied calmly.
Rocky scampered up Min’s leg in two seconds flat, climbed to his head, leaned forward.. and flipped his tiny middle finger right in front of Min’s face.
"Squeak."
Min’s eye twitched.
"Get off, you fucking squirrel,"
Rocky just squeaked louder, middle finger still up, refusing to budge.
Koko giggled behind her hand.
While the two kept arguing—
Ahrie finally moved.
He launched forward and began his barrage of attacks, starting with the wolf he had targeted earlier.
The wolf barely managed to dodge his slash.
The blade scraped past—
Leaving a slight cut across its leg.
It slid as it landed from the dodge.
Dust kicked up around its paws.
Ahrie didn’t slow down.
Full rush.
He began attacking the pack simultaneously—countering those who tried to attack him while pressuring the others.

Ahrie didn’t slow down.
Full rush.
He began attacking the pack simultaneously—countering those who tried to attack him while pressuring the others.
Two wolves lunged from each side—claws out, simultaneous.
Ahrie parried the left one upward with a quick flick—clang—and swayed his body just enough to let the right claw whistle past his ribs.
A third wolf rushed in.
Jaws aimed straight for Ahrie’s neck.
Ahrie simply tilted his head a little.
The bite snapped through empty air.
The five wolves kept attacking together— coordinated, like a real hunt. Claws raking, bites snapping, circling tighter.
From the back—
Min suddenly started yelling.
"WHOOO! GO! GET HIM GODDAAMN WOLVES!" while pumping his fist.
Koko slowly turned to look at him.
"...You’re rooting for the wrong side, dumbass..."
Then something clicked in her head.
Min’s debt.
A grin slowly spread across her face.
"Ohh... so that’s why..."
"You do know that if he dies... your debt goes back to me, right?"
"And I’ll make it triple— no wait..."
"Quadruple."
Min froze.
"...Oh fuck."
He immediately switched sides.
"TAKE THEM ALL RIE!"
Koko winked at the readers.
No such thing happened, obviously.
Meanwhile—
Ahrie twisted his body into a wide slash.
Slash!
The wolves jumped back to avoid it.
But Ahrie didn’t give them even a second to breathe.
He stepped forward again.
His grin was sharp.
"You guys seem mistaken..."
He pointed his blade toward them.
"I’m the hunter."
Ahrie cracked his neck once.
"Not y’all."
From the Ent’s office...
The screen flickered—zooming in on Ahrie’s grin as he stepped forward.
"I’m the hunter. Not ya’ll."
Ahrie’s Ent choked on his snack mid-chew, eyes wide.
"Holy shit—did he just say that out loud?!... what a cheesy line"
He slammed his fist on the desk, leaning in so close his bark almost fogged the screen.
"That’s my boy! That’s the psycho energy I’ve been waiting for!"
The chat exploded.
Sprout #02 – Linnene: KEKEKE LET’S GOOO
Sprout #03 – Essos: hunter arc activated
Sprout #04 – Judy_wilcox: bet he says some cringy line next
Sprout #01 – Hypergyphon: nah he’s gonna get crushed lmao
The Ent laughed, loud and wheezy.
Back on screen, Ahrie cracked his neck again.
And went full maniac mode.
He slashed like he was possessed—rapier whipping left, right, up, down.
"TAKE THIS YOU FUCK!"
Slash.
"HERE— YOU TOO!"
Clang.
He laughed—actual, unhinged laugh—while carving at them. Blood flecks on his face, eyes wide and bright.
He was grinning the whole time.
"He’s enjoying this shiiit..." Min muttered
He shook his head.
"This battle maniac bastard..."
The wolf Ahrie had been targeting suddenly activated its skill again.
[Iron Hide (Defensive Trigger)]
Its body hardened.
At the same time—
The other four wolves leaped into the air.
[Crushing Weight.]
They hardened mid-air and dropped straight toward Ahrie.
But Ahrie reacted instantly.
He grabbed the frozen iron wolf by the scruff (or whatever wolves have), yanked it forward, and used it as a goddamn shield.
BLAM!
Two wolves crashed straight into their own packmate.
The impact knocked them aside.
Ahrie didn’t waste the opening.
Counter after counter—slash to a flank, thrust to a shoulder, quick parry on a claw swipe.
Min and Rocky watched, dead silent, eyes locked on him.
Then suddenly—
"Here."
Koko offered Min a cup of tea.
Min stared at her in disbelief.
"...Where the fuck did you get that?"
Koko shrugged.
"You want it or nah?" Koko replied casually.
Min stared at the tea, then took it anyway.
"...Thanks."
He sipped the tea—
And continued watching the intense fight.
The wolves were slowing down—not as quick, not as sharp
Ahrie’s hits had piled up—cuts on legs, gashes on flanks, blood matting fur.
Their breaths were heavier.
Ahrie noticed it.
It’s time, he muttered under his breath.
Suddenly—
He rushed forward and leaped straight toward the nearest wolf.
Instead of attacking—
He stepped on one wolf’s back.
Then another.
Using them like platforms as he parkoured across the pack.
Before they could react—
Ahrie landed right in the center of them.
He spun.
A wide spinning slash cut through the air.
But the wolves reacted instantly.
All five activated their defense.
[Iron Hide (Defensive Trigger)]
Clang clang clang clang clang.
The blades bounced off their hardened hides again.
Ahrie immediately lowered his rapier and jumped backward several times to create distance.
While retreating—
He began counting quietly in his head.
Four... Five...
He stopped.
A slow grin spread across his face.
Ahrie raised his hand slightly.
"KEKEK!"
"BEHOOOOLD!"
"MY NEWLY ACQUIRED SKILL!"
[R.E.S.O.N.A.N.C.E. – (Radius-Enhanced Symbiotic Overload Nurturing And Neutralizing Cataclysm)]
A faint light began forming on the ground.
It slowly expanded—
A glowing circle large enough to cover the entire battlefield.
The wolves froze.
Ahrie stood in the center.
"Is that his new skill..." Koko muttered, eyes wide.
The light pulsed gently, then reached out like warm fingers. It touched Ahrie’s cuts, the wolves’ gashes, the blood on the ground—everything inside the ring.
Wounds closed. Bruises faded. Even the wolves’ hides looked smoother.
"Eh?" Min blinked, confused.
"It’s—normal..." Koko said, starting to smile.
Min nodded slowly.
Even Rocky squeaked happily, tiny paws clapping.
They all grinned—relieved, almost celebrating. No more getting punched for heals.
Then their smiles froze.
The light kept going. Healing Ahrie... and all five wolves.
The wolves shook themselves.
Their eyes slowly returned to the battlefield.
They paused.
"Hold the fuck up..." Min whispered.
"Why are the enemies getting healed too?"
Koko leaned forward.
"What kind of healing freak—"
Ahrie raised a finger to his lips.
"Shhh."
He counted under his breath.
"2... 1..."
The light flared—bright white, blinding.
Brighter.
And brighter.
Then—
BOOOM!
A massive explosion ripped through the circle. Shockwave slammed outward.
Ahrie got blasted backward from the impact— tumbling through the air, crashing into a bush.
The five wolves...
Were completely toasted.
Smoke rising from their bodies.
Ahrie lay on the ground, heavily injured.
But he was grinning like a lunatic.
"Damn..."
"The damage was good..."
"HAHAHA—APPROVED!"
From the side—
Min and Koko stared in horror.
"FUUUUUUCK," they both muttered.
The dream of ever receiving a normal heal from Ahrie...
Popped.
Like a bubble.
