This Life, I Will Be the Protagonist-Chapter 1108 Vine & You Are Being Watched
The reaction from the players regarding the freedom of "BS" was more intense than Rita had imagined. When it became clear that BS Rita only appeared in the battlefield chat channel to provoke Dawn Cicada, the leaders of various worlds quickly changed their approach.
They chose to contact their worlds first, asking their worlds to get in touch with "BS."
Buy the lost civilizations? No, all the leaders were now inquiring about the cost to have "BS" accept players from other worlds to settle there.
Which was more important—the living kin or the lost civilizations? All the leaders wrote the same answer.
The problem was how to transfer. Skills like "Absolute Freedom," which allowed free travel between worlds, were rare, and attempting to bring a large number of players into another world like the Eclipse Vanguard did with Lania Kaia was no longer feasible.
The BS players had once been able to infiltrate Lania Kaia because the invasion sequence between Lania Kaia and BS had successfully connected.
Without this connection, even if a player used special skills to enter another world, the restrictions were numerous.
For example, when a world leader or monarch descended into another world, it would notify all the leaders of that world, and an Adjudicator’s arrival would be globally announced.
There were also limitations on how many players could enter another world—no more than ten thousand—and no anchor-type teleportation skills could be used. If a player stayed too long, their name would automatically appear and be highlighted in red, among many other restrictions.
Too many limitations, too many problems to solve. But the leaders quickly sent out requests.
As for how to transfer, that Adjudicator should have a way, right?
Every evening, Rita received a summary of the quotes from BS.
In just three days, she had received nearly a thousand quotes from different worlds.
The majority came from worlds struggling in the midst of war, but there were some higher-ranked worlds as well. For example, TingoJE was hoping that she could take in a few wind whales, and they were willing to pay any price.
Rita had not responded yet. She was still busy with internal matters within BS.
After adding the Moon Fox, Owl, and Skycrab to BS, Shadow.Q and B80 alone were no longer enough, even though the latter was part of The Mechanoids.
Using the character information provided by B80 and BS, Rita directly hired the most skilled people from various military factions who were good at handling political affairs. She formed a new team dedicated to serving her and BS.
They were all given BS-level positions and benefits.
When recruiting, she didn’t even need to ask—BS would send a pop-up: "Would you like to leave your current faction and be solely affiliated with BS Adjudicator?"
How long did it take BS Adjudicator to recruit?
One pop-up window.
Recently, every faction had been in turmoil, but the faction leaders had nothing to say. They were still smiling and encouraging the ones they kicked out to keep up the good work!
It was said that the leader of the Eclipse Vanguard faction had been smiling nonstop recently, and the crow’s feet around his eyes had been constantly twitching. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚

On the fourth day, Rita took her new team to battle against the Moon Fox, Owl, and Skycrab teams.
Mistblade, Pine Bloom, and Crab surprisingly formed a united front!
After all, once the price was set, it would affect long-term expenditures. Even a single coin saved could accumulate to a terrifying amount over time.
But Rita patiently negotiated with them. Considering that these three had approached her on their own to offer unconditional help in "My World," she was willing to sit down and talk.
The teams from these alien races must have received instructions from Mistblade and the others. Unlike before, even though the negotiations got heated, no one physically fought.
After a day of argument, no satisfactory outcome was reached. Rita returned home exhausted but still had to continue her history homework. She planned to skip the next day’s meeting, as she needed to return to the ship and test out the possibility of shrinking BS into her pocket.
Just as she sat down in her study, she heard the familiar notification sound.
[Player Agility -1000]
Since the game had ended, this sound had been ringing every few hours. Each time it subtracted anywhere from a few hundred to, as now, a much larger amount of attribute points.
Rita looked at her wrist, where a Vine was wrapping around it.
The early Vine wasn’t very long, just enough to circle around once. It was now moving through her fingers like a snake.
But rather than being simply a "Vine," it was more like a shape formed from petals that gathered together. Most of the petals were white, but near the root, a small red section formed the "skeleton" of the Vine.
She had seen this flower in the World Sigh from "Beacon." Coincidentally, it was called "Flower Crown Murder."
She had asked SmokeTune about it, wondering if this Vine, formed entirely from petals, was unique to the early growth stage of a Vine.
SmokeTune had first praised the beauty of her Vine, then explained, "This is your Vine. Even when it fully grows, it will only change in length. Its shape will remain like this. I’m curious to see what the flowers on your Vine will look like when it blooms."
After saying that, SmokeTune’s expression became somewhat subtle as she told Rita, "It’s best not to let other Vineborne see your Vine during its growth. It’s a private matter. Only those Vineborne with very close relationships share their early-stage Vines."
Rita knew about this custom, but since she wasn’t really a Vineborne, she didn’t take it to heart.
What she cared about now was the power this Vine could bring her. Otherwise, losing all those attribute points would be a huge waste!
She had a feeling that once this Vine fully grew, she would have to sacrifice the attributes she gained from using DawnCicada’s Vine earlier.
She moved her fingers and deliberately blocked the Vine’s path. The Vine hesitated and looked around, making Rita laugh at its confused expression.
[You are being watched]...
Why is it still watching my private matters?
Rita’s smile froze. She cleared her throat, suppressing her laughter, and waved her Vine-wrapped hand. Instantly, the Vine scattered into petals that filled the air, then reformed and returned to Rita’s arm, coiling around her again.
But she stopped playing with the Vine and focused on her history homework, her face serious.
She wrote in Vineborne language on her notebook: "What are you looking at? Never seen a Vine before?"
After finishing the line, Rita drew two lines underneath it and then firmly tapped them. Then, she silently erased it and began writing the official history of civilization.
