Chapter 1150: 1150 Divine Game Quiet Mountain 33

Before Deceitful Bloom was "voluntarily" sent to Quiet Mountain, she had also "voluntarily" left behind a Vine that could establish remote communication.

This was a joint request made by Uncharted Star Sea and other gods: the former needed to set up a backup channel to indirectly contact BS Rita, while the latter just wanted to watch the drama unfold.

The Vine was naturally placed at Demon Tavern, where Boiling Orange and Ashveil had initially debated how long they should wait before reaching out to Deceitful Bloom without getting caught.

To their surprise, as soon as Deceitful Bloom left, Boiling Orange had only taken two barrels of fruit wine to prepare, and that Vine had already bloomed a flower.

Foolishness remarked calmly, "Actually, Uncharted Star Sea didn’t need to invite her. She would’ve stood up on her own."

Boiling Orange walked over, placing one of her cups of wine in front of Foolishness, and then toasted her, "Exactly!"

Ashveil, staring at the vivid red color and jewel-like brilliance of the Flower of Deceit, asked, "Why is she so happy?"

But this was only the beginning.

The flower bloomed and didn’t wither. Days later, the short Vine—barely the length of a palm—had bloomed several more flowers, almost completely burying the Vine. Drummer had come over to inspect several times.

This was truly a happy bloom...

"I wonder what has satisfied her twisted little preferences this time." Ashveil couldn’t help but use a skill, attempting to contact Deceitful Bloom through the Flower of Deceit.

Foolishness downed her entire cup of fruit wine in one go and said, her tone thick with suspicion, "Do you think she privately registered with Uncharted Star Sea? That would explain why they said that."

Boiling Orange nodded, "It’s very likely."

Ashveil rummaged through her belongings and found a flashy little jester mask, which she placed on her face before turning to Boiling Orange, "Boiling Orange, I’m never arguing with you over Deceitful Bloom again."

Boiling Orange held out her hand, "Does that mask have more? Give me one."

Ashveil pulled out two masks, handing one to Boiling Orange and the other to Foolishness.

Foolishness flicked the mask away with her finger, "Go away."

Amid the playful banter, the Vine finally transmitted Deceitful Bloom’s voice, full of clear amusement: "What’s up?"

Hearthsmoke, who had been quietly watching the fun, was the first to approach. "Was the task completed smoothly?"

"Smoothly."

"Did BS Rita try to settle the score when she saw you?" A voice, not belonging to Demon Tavern, spoke up—Captain, who had somehow appeared by the window.

According to Uncharted Star Sea, BS Rita’s power had skyrocketed, surpassing even Boiling Orange’s strength after The Bell Tolls.

However, Boiling Orange had been among the top players by that time—each era always produced a few such Fruitling—and even though Deceitful Bloom after the first Bell Tolls was stronger than Boiling Orange, it wasn’t by much.

In other words, BS Rita, given her strength limitations, should be capable of avenging herself against Deceitful Bloom now.

Deceitful Bloom’s soft laugh echoed through the Vine: "We’ve arrived at Midsummer."

After that, the Vine fell silent.

Foolishness snapped her fingers, and the jester mask she had flicked away earlier flew to the window, landing silently on Captain’s face.

...

Entering Midsummer, Deceitful Bloom quickly led BS Rita through the bustling city.

BS Rita remained silent, obediently following her. The right hand, bound by the Vine, was almost dragged parallel to the ground by the fast-moving Vineborne ahead, leaving BS Rita no choice but to use her left hand to flick the coin.

After weaving through several narrow streets, they checked into a very discreet inn.

Deceitful Bloom immediately instructed BS Rita to focus on using her lightning element to influence the nearby Celestialkin.

"Don’t disband your companion lightning element," Deceitful Bloom said. "When you can control the weather above the heads of thousands of Celestialkin with a single thought, only then will you have completed the first stage."

While Deceitful Bloom gave this lengthy explanation, BS Rita’s eyes remained glued to the coin in her hand.

Deceitful Bloom waved a hand in front of BS Rita’s eyes, "Still with me?"

BS Rita slowly extended her palm, waiting for the coin to land in her hand before looking at Deceitful Bloom. "I’m here."

Deceitful Bloom wasn’t easily fooled. She stared at BS Rita with a blank expression, "What did I just say?"

BS Rita lowered her gaze and said nothing. Was this silent resistance? The smile earlier in the city had seemed like an accident.

Deceitful Bloom sighed inwardly. Was this her karma?

The Vine grew wildly, binding both of BS Rita’s hands. Whether it was the memories she had seen or the influence of Flower of Deceit, BS Rita made no attempt to resist, allowing her hands to be tied.

Unable to distract herself with the coin, BS Rita started focusing entirely on sensing the companion elements above the Celestialkin around her, as instructed by Deceitful Bloom.

Unfortunately, BS Rita’s current state was both a blessing and a curse from the Demon Game.

If it weren’t for her constant immersion in the game, Deceitful Bloom wouldn’t have had the chance to guide her in Quiet Mountain.

However, due to the repeated exposure to the Demon Game, BS Rita had temporarily lost the ability to feel emotions, yet the elements above Celestialkin were deeply tied to their moods.

Deceitful Bloom also noticed that BS Rita showed no interest in combination skills, as if she was naturally disinterested in powers that required cooperation.

They spent the whole night making no progress.

Deceitful Bloom sat at the table, thinking of a solution. Seeing she wasn’t pressuring her anymore, BS Rita immediately broke free from the Vine and resumed playing with the coin.

B80’s voice came from the hood: "Why does she need to learn to use combination skills with another Celestialkin?"

BS Rita paused in her coin flicking.

Deceitful Bloom casually answered, "Just in case."

Nivalis’s voice chimed in: "Then why are you in such a hurry to have her learn here? Even if Uncharted Star Sea doesn’t have Celestialkin, can’t you just reward her with a combination skill like you did for DawnCicada with Vine?"

Deceitful Bloom’s eyes flickered slightly. She didn’t respond directly but instead asked, "Are you two spying on her?"

The pets in the hood fell silent.

But BS Rita stubbornly stared at Deceitful Bloom.

She had not forgotten Divine Game and Uncharted Star Sea, and the existence of QM Rita constantly reminded her of her identity—SS Rita.

Though many memories had faded, her instinct pushed her to seize every opportunity to gather key information.

Deceitful Bloom didn’t want to answer, but her gaze fell on the white Vine wrapped around BS Rita’s body, and she unconsciously gave an offhand reminder: "The ’gifts’ given by the gods, the talents and skills, require balance and hierarchy. Only those you learn and understand yourself can break free from rules and constraints."

Leaning slightly forward, Deceitful Bloom looked into BS Rita’s calm red eyes and softly spoke, "Do you remember? There are no limits to life."
