Chapter 1195: 1195: Divine Game, Divine Instruction 9

Most players did not know the true names of the gods. They could only refer to them by race. Compared to a deity’s name, people cared far more about the teacher’s race.

Rita found herself thinking about something she had never seriously considered before. What race was Foolishness?

She had read enough World Sigh to form several guesses, but none felt certain. She asked B80 and got no answer. In the end, she set the question aside.

During the day, while Rita attended class, Nivalis and B80 wandered the palace from morning to night. With their guidance, Rita easily found toys that could produce food.

In less than an hour, she had eaten, showered, changed clothes, and returned to the classroom with a cup of coffee.

She needed to keep dismantling skill runes, breaking them into small parts and reassembling them.

The others returned one after another, each holding a drink.

Amid the soft scratching of pens, Rita asked, "Do any of you know what race Foolishness, the teacher, belongs to?"

The first to answer was Fury Prayer. "Fireglint."

Rita froze for a moment. Fireglint. So it really was Fireglint.

The other three players who overheard the conversation were stunned. Maple Syrup asked, "How could it be Fireglint? Her eyes..."

Different hair color was one thing. There were many reasons for that. But the defining trait of Fireglint lay in their eyes and hearts.

The reason no one had thought of Fireglint was simple. Foolishness’s deep blue eyes, while bright, were not gem like the way Fury Prayer’s were.

How could she be Fireglint?

Fury Prayer stayed silent.

Rita knew the reason, but since someone of the same race was not explaining, she had no intention of speaking either.

There was only one situation where a Fireglint’s eyes would lose their gemstone nature. Their original eyes were gone.

No matter the gemstone type, every pair of Fireglint eyes was the finest possible specimen of that category. And from other World Sigh, Rita had learned that after the game’s arrival, the stronger a Fireglint became, the more valuable their eyes were.

For someone like Fury Prayer, if his eyes were taken, they would be at least perfect treasures, possibly even Starsea grade artifacts.

Rita suspected that Dawn Cicada and Tiger Ear Kessa knew this as well.

Such treasures were non renewable. Once removed, even the highest tier regeneration skills could not restore those gem bright eyes unless the original eyes were returned.

Maple Syrup did not push further. Every race had secrets and taboos they avoided.

The room fell quiet again.

Rita, however, remained distracted for quite a while before forcing herself to refocus.

The five of them seemed locked in silent competition. Other than eating and washing, none of them went out to witness the Starsea reversal Foolishness had mentioned.

The only nuisance was the golden light orbs that followed them constantly. The attack frequency was lower than when they first met. Rita was certain that earlier intensity had been deliberate intimidation.

Now, the orbs attacked one to three times per minute.

Once they adapted, the ambush style attacks were manageable. None of them ever truly relaxed, not even in sleep.

That familiar habit crept back in for Rita. She started wondering if the orbs had some deeper training purpose.

On the second day, Foolishness noticeably increased the pace.

In the morning, she explained dismantling formulas and techniques. At noon, she set up a blackboard at the long table. A complex skill rune was drawn across it.

She gave them ten minutes to observe and think. Then they had to dismantle the rune in turns. Each extracted sub rune vanished from the board and could not be chosen again.

Each person had ten seconds to answer. The one who timed out the most would be sent to fetch food and drinks according to the others’ demands. That was their lunch break.

Rita’s talent and comprehension were exceptional, but the others were no less impressive. Ranks three through five of the ladder were all here. Dawn Cicada was a late bloomer, but she had bloomed all the same. Years of accumulation had finally turned into a leap.

That had already been evident on the first day. Rita finished first, but the others were not far behind.

An SS rank skill rune was ultimately dismantled into 239 sub runes.

Rita timed out five times, but thankfully she was not the worst.

When Maple Syrup stood in front of her, staring at the ceiling, and asked what she wanted to eat and drink, Rita handed her a menu nearly half a meter long.

The delayed revenge from the Quiet Mountain dungeon had arrived.

Maple Syrup forgot to keep up her scowl as she stared at BS Rita in disbelief. "You are seriously using such low class methods to get back at me?"

Rita pointed her chin toward the door. "I am hungry. Hurry."

Maple Syrup said, "...You were not this childish when you studied at Moonlight Marsh."

Nivalis and B80, who had been playing wildly in the toy workshops all morning, happened to arrive to deliver food to their Rita and heard that line.

Mini Nivalis turned to her companion and asked, "Wasn’t she?"

B80 turned as well and repeated, "Wasn’t she?"

The little dragon and the robot snapped their heads forward. Their feet came together with a sharp clap. Mechanical hand and dragon claw rose to their foreheads in a crisp salute.

The sudden motion drew the attention of everyone in the classroom, players and gods alike.

Nivalis drew a deep breath and shouted, "Bless you and bless me!"

B80 used a broadcast voice. "No regrets forever!"

Those two cringe declarations were Rita’s eternal trauma. Hearing them made her scalp tingle with embarrassment.

Rita slammed her pen on the table and charged forward. "I am absolutely killing you two today!"

...

"Foolishness: Does anyone know what happened between BS Rita and Lania Kaia Maple Syrup in Quiet Mountain?"

"Boiling Orange: Lania Kaia Maple Syrup killed BS Rita once."

"Ashveil: According to eyewitness accounts, BS Rita ran into the blade herself."

"Crispfang: There is another detail you all missed."

"Crispfang: There was a conversation. Maple Syrup said, ’What should I do? If I do not kill you once, I cannot let this go. Do you have anything to say?’ BS Rita replied, ’Looks like the blessing from when we were fifteen was only received by me.’"

"Crispfang: I went digging into that blessing scene. Honestly, considering the context, the teenage BS Rita saying that would not have been embarrassed at all. I really want to know what Maple Syrup was feeling at the time."

"Boiling Orange: Hahahaha, I have screenshots of her expression."

"Boiling Orange: rage and confusion dot jpg"

"Boiling Orange: painfully edgy but I still have to frown and stay angry dot jpg"
