Chapter 1196: 1196: Divine Game, Divine Instruction 10

Foolishness only focused on teaching; she didn’t assign homework or leave any reminders. Her teaching method was all about going full throttle forward, not concerned with whether her students could keep up.

On the first day, they had tests and learned basic skill rune dismantling.

On the second day, they learned to break skill runes into smaller parts that couldn’t form skills but still contained magical power.

On the third day, they learned how runes adapted and rejected each other. Foolishness provided 50,000 basic combinations, and used the workshop’s time stop feature to give them 100 hours to memorize.

Once the time stop ended, they began learning how to reassemble a broken down skill rune into a combo technique.

By the fourth day, Foolishness presented them with two unfamiliar skill runes, instructing them to dismantle parts of these and assemble new ones.

Each day’s class ran from 8 AM to 10 PM. The five players spent most of their time in the classroom, only stepping out to eat or wash. With Foolishness’s teaching style, if they couldn’t keep up with that day’s lesson, they would fall behind the next day. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎

From the second day onward, Nivalis and B80 started bringing meals to them. Though the players could technically survive without food, some dishes were specifically designed to sharpen the mind and occasionally trigger inspiration. Everyone ate mainly for the effects.

Nivalis and B80 also opened a delivery service, where Maple Syrup and the others could pay them to run errands within the palace, retrieving any food, toys, or books they needed. Afterward, the items would be returned.

At first, only Kessa and Fury Prayer used the service, but later Maple Syrup and Dawn Cicada joined in. The real appeal of Nivalis and B80’s service wasn’t just running errands but their ability to find exactly what the players wanted. B80 had a remarkable memory of all the toys it had seen, with a built-in search function. If the players weren’t sure whether an item existed, they could simply ask, and it would find it for them.

Rita turned a blind eye to the service since it worked out for her too.

By the fifth day, the lessons didn’t change much. Foolishness still gave them two complete skill runes to dismantle and form new ones. But now, they had a time limit of one minute to complete both the dismantling and reassembly.

After explaining today’s task, Foolishness said, "Before class ends today, there will be an assessment. Those who pass will be eligible to know my name."

She paused and quietly stared at the five students.

At first, the players remained still, waiting for the rest of Foolishness’s words. But after a few moments of awkward silence, they suddenly realized! They all looked at each other with eager, excited, and somewhat surprised expressions.

Foolishness gave a reserved nod and continued, "The students who pass will have the privilege of joining me on the Flower Island for joint training. That will be a very important lesson, vital to the stability and variation of self-made combo skills. I hope you will leave your personal emotions aside and cherish this opportunity."

Kessa, Maple Syrup, and Fury Prayer turned to look at Dawn Cicada and BS Rita.

"I have no personal emotions. I’m looking forward to it," Dawn Cicada said, as the snake-like Vine on her shoulder stood straight. One end of it bent at a 90-degree angle, pointing directly at BS Rita. "Teacher, she definitely has them!"

Rita: "..." I really can’t deal with Vineborne.

Flower Crown Murder climbed onto her shoulder and poked at the snake-like Vine, causing both Vines to start wriggling and playing on their owners’ shoulders.

Rita glanced up and found Foolishness staring at her. She stifled her frustration and muttered, "I have no personal emotions."

Rita had made up her mind during the answering session. As long as she could become stronger, even if she were assigned to Deceitful Bloom, as long as the other party was willing to teach her to grow stronger, she would continue calling Deceitful Bloom "Teacher." Even if she was assigned to joint training, it might actually be Deceitful Bloom who couldn’t tolerate it.

After all, she and Foolishness had their past conflicts too, but Rita still felt grateful for the genius-level skills Foolishness was teaching her.

She was mostly able to block out negative emotions and focus on the results. But sometimes... sometimes, there were just some special situations.

Foolishness nodded solemnly. "Then, let’s begin."

Two skill runes floated in the air, separated by an hourglass. When the hourglass flipped, it meant time was up.

The players used their magic power to sketch the dismantled runes from their minds and begin reassembling them. If they didn’t finish before the timer ran out, they would be attacked by Foolishness, losing 1 health point. If their health dropped below 50, they would have to leave the classroom.

Of course, they could also try to resist... But with their attributes suppressed, how could they withstand a serious strike from a god?

This was just the morning session. When Nivalis and B80 brought lunch, the players’ health had already dropped to around 70%.

B80 and Nivalis came in, carrying large boxes. B80 headed straight for his "child," and Nivalis went toward the teacher.

Though Foolishness could also use her palace’s toys to deliver food, every time Nivalis delivered meals, she would say something like, "Please look after my child," which made Rita’s expression rather amusing.

Dawn Cicada, who loved making fun of Rita’s expressions, enjoyed this moment most.

After eating, the difficulty of the lesson increased again.

Players now had to grab pieces of skill runes from the air to reassemble. Once a piece was grabbed by another player, it wouldn’t be replaced. The game would continue until Foolishness believed they couldn’t find any more runes to assemble.

Not long after the game began, the players started fighting over the pieces. Kessa jumped onto BS Rita’s back and covered her eyes with her hands, while Dawn Cicada’s Vine wrapped around Fury Prayer’s neck, trying to choke him. Fury Prayer was stretching his legs to kick Kessa, while Maple Syrup helped Kessa fight against BS Rita. Rita was elbowing Kessa with her left hand while trying to grab Maple Syrup’s feathers with her right.

In the chaos, no one was speaking the universal language. Instead, they shouted in their own races’ languages, and even though they couldn’t understand each other, it was clear none of it was polite.

Foolishness silently pulled out her recording toy and took a picture.

She admired the moving photo for a moment, then tucked it into the pages of her book.

They would surely enjoy this photo later.
