Tower's Richest Player: My Coins Won't Stop Increasing-Chapter 88: From corruption to mutation
Chapter 88: From corruption to mutation
-Swish! Swish! Swish!
As Zyon was fighting the group of corrupted killers, something weird started happening throughout the floor.
[ "They have mutated here as well!" ]
[ "Requesting support! The southern area requires support!" ]
[ "Evacuation will be completed soon! Hold strong!" ]
The association people were focusing on evacuating the players throughout the floor.
The presence of these killers was no simple matter. They were practically everywhere which meant everyone present on the floor was in danger right right now.
Most of the players weren’t strong enough to handle something like this. The opponents were powerful and there weren’t enough people to deal with all of them.
-Booooooooooooom!
The professor, currently the strongest association official present on the floor, could not help his shock when all of this had started. And even after a few minutes had passed, his shock only continued to intensify.
"Ghhhhhhh!"
The corrupted killers that were simply focused on killing the other players had started merging with each and in some of the area, these same individuals were also fusing with the monsters, becoming something even more inhuman.
-Booooooooooooom!
The situation was not limited to just that either.
In each place that had something like these mutants, if the mutant died, the corrupted killers who were limiting themselves to a specific area started moving, leaving everything they were doing behind.
As if to fill in a gap, they moved without caring for anything, swarming the places that had become vacant, drawn by something the association people had yet to understand.
-Swish! Swish! Swish!
The northern area where most of them were gathered, where Ziggy had just killed the two headed mutant monster, the swarm that was attracted was unlike anything present anywhere else on the floor.
Currently he was facing off against a total of fifteen of them all by himself, with the rest of his team blocking off more of them from getting near him from some distance away.
-Swiiiiiiiiiiiish!
They wanted to go and help their captain, but these monsters who had now lost all reason and become nothing more than zombies were now doing anything to get past them and reach the place where Ziggy was.
A similar reaction was seen in each place where a mutant had died, but there just weren’t enough of them in the vicinity for a similar situation to occur, making the northern forest area the most dangerous to this point.
"Tsk!"
Ziggy was also starting to struggle against these corrupt zombies.
He was exhausted after fighting all of the others. He had dragged them to a different area so that one of his subordinates could retrieve the remains of the ones from the guild that they had killed, but even though he was stronger than them individually, they were like a singular entity right now.
They fought as if they had worked together for several years already. Their teamwork was instinctive as well, as if they had a single mind, making all of the attacks from him less effective.
-Swish!
They would either move in a way that would hurt them the least, making even the most precise of his attacks less effective.
-Swiiiiiiiiiiish!
Or when he was moving and performing a sword movement, they would hinder his footsteps with some trick, almost making him lose his balance.
The situation he was in wasn’t the best.
"GHAAAAAA!"
The way they were coming at him like undying creatures was nothing like what he had faced in the game.
This was his first time experiencing something like this, and he didn’t find this experience to be anything pleasant!
"Haaaa... haaaa..."
He was using more stamina than he should. The holy sword wasn’t exactly the best piece of work so even that powerful item was starting to show signs of corruption, making things even more difficult for him.
’Fuck...’
If things went on like this for a little longer, or if more of them joined in with this bunch, he knew he would be at a severe disadvantage which might result in something pretty bad.
He was already cursing his weaknesses, but now he was in a dangerous situation himself.
"Tsk!"
But that did not mean he could stop slashing his sword, or try killing these monsters.
If he stopped even for a breather, he would be in a dangerous situation... and they could not afford something like that right now.
-Swiiiiiiiiiiiiiiish!
He needed to persevere.
He needed to survive so that he could go back to his family and grieve the loss they all had experienced today.
He needed to save the people who were struggling against these monsters all around the floor as well.
-Ooooooooooooooooooooong!
However... he did not have to do that alone.
"Duck."
He was defending against a connected attack from a bunch of six when he felt an unfamiliar presence right behind him.
He didn’t know who it was, but he most certainly recognized the presence of someone else’s Aura from behind, so he followed the instructions without hesitation and ducked.
-Zaaaaaaaaa!
Then, a crescent slash of golden Aura that seemed just like Holy power, swept through the group of six before him, almost cutting them all in half.
"GHAAAA!" fɾeeweɓnѳveɭ.com
Sadly, that attack was blocked by the magic barriers created by the magic user zombies that somehow still knew how to use those magic skills.
"I’ll take the right." Zyon knew this was exactly the chance he needed, so without hesitation, he used his movement skill and went from the right, covering his holy sword in his own Aura and slashing at the monsters that were the most vulnerable.
-Oooooooooooooooong!
And as if to have understood his will, the one that had made the surprise attack a moment ago, the Lady in Silver armor, or the Holy Knight of the North as the people called her, took the left side, harmoniously eliminating the bunch with her golden Aura.
-Swish! Swish! Swish!
Using her own movement skill, she moved through the bunch, her golden hair tied in a complicated braided pattern, her amber eyes locked on the target, the golden Aura slashing through their ranks without mercy.
-Swiiiiiiiiiiiish!
And just like her, Zyon moved with his holy sword, his silver hair stained with the blood of humans, his deep blue eyes growing with resentment, his fairy red Aura slashing through them without hesitation.
He did not have to hold back anymore.
He wasn’t alone in this fight.
Someone was helping him now, someone who seemed to be just as blessed as him.
But more than her powers, he could feel the same resentment from her that he was feeling right now.
He could tell, just like him, she could not tolerate this situation any longer.
-Swiiiiiiiiiiiiish!
Both of them moved in unison.
Without speaking much, reading their swords and movements, they overwhelmed the corrupt monsters with their techniques and skills.
One by one, with one slash after another, they slimmed down their numbers.
And soon... they were done.
{ "The ones here have been taken care of! Ozon, release the ones you’re holding and move southwards! Don’t worry about us!" }
He instructed his team to move to the next location and nodded at Dame Althea.
She understood his intentions and nodded back at him before looking past him nodding at her Aide and instructing her own people to move without her.
Both Zyon and the Dame knew they needed to work together to quickly take care of this situation.
They complemented each other’s styles, which was rare and thus useful in this situation.
-Swish!
-Swiiiiiiiiiiiiiiish!
Their swords were the judge today.
Their swords were the executioners that will bring a stop to this damned massacre...
