Chapter 624: Such a shame.

One more week passed quickly and Scarlet’s training on this world came to an end.

Apheitos stood proudly on the ground and he looked at what had become a graveyard for the demons that had been imprisoned on this world.

Scarlet had finished them all off, wiping them all off the surface of the earth.

He looked on like a proud father in approval as Scarlet refined the last one.

She was not the same woman that he had come with. She was focused, with a sense of purpose and mission oriented. It was as if she was eager to finish the training even more than he did.

The hound had been right about her being quick learner. Her soul was consuming the flame even quicker than he anticipated and at this rate, she might merge with it completely before the two months were up.

Severus as always was standing besides Apheitos, watching with a similar expression to his.

"She has done good, right?" He asked.

The deity nodded. "It’s a waste of her strength to have her collecting souls. A natural refiner like her should be cleaning out condemned worlds. What she has done here in a few weeks normally takes others ten years."

"Death would never agree to that." Severus told him.

Apheitos could see the great potential and all the ways in which Scarlet could be used. It actually pained him that she was a simple grim reaper.

If he could, he would transfer her to his own realm but death would never accept that. He was a greedy and possessive bastard. Scarlet would be like another great prize to him, an addition to his strong army. A source of pride to lord over others.

"Such a shame." He said.

Scarlet flew over to him and looked at him with a dead look in her eyes. She had been like that, angry and cold. Not that Apheitos cared since she was channeling her anger in the right direction.

She was warm when she was around her son and her brother. The rest of the time when she was training. She hardly slept lately. If she wasn’t ripping demons to pieces, she was fighting those virtual mecha battles.

"I am done, where to next?" She asked him.

"We should wait for the humans to sleep and I will teleport us there directly. You should sleep as well." He told her.

"I am going to cultivate." She answered.

She teleported into her room, leaving the deity and the hound behind.

Apheitos shook his head. "I really wouldn’t want to cross paths with her when she is burning hot like that."

He felt sorry for the ones that would cross her path in the war. Apheitos had already picked a side, and it was hers. He did wonder occasionally if he should give the deity of life a heads up. He was life and Scarlet was turning into anti-life. She was a walking, talking, breathing eraser and absorber. She could take your power while eliminating you from existence.

He didn’t know if her power could work on them and he didn’t want to know personally, ever. He would need to see it for himself in that war.

Severus teleported and followed his reaper so the deity teleported back to the space ship as well.

The humans were awake, chatting about this and that.

Apheitos walked through the garden which was thriving on the spaceship thanks to Scarlet and he made his way to the virtual room.

This was where everyone came when they wanted to play those virtual mecha games. Apheitos had picked an interest in the games as well. It was amazing the things humans could come up with. They had found a way to create their own worlds even though these worlds were not real.

Lora was fighting a yellow titan sized mecha as the hound and Apheitos was drooling to join in. Quickly, he invaded her body and took charge.

Inside Scarlet’s room meanwhile, the cultivation plan had to be put on hold because she found Justin in her room, sitting on her body with a book in his hands.

She teleported to the bathroom, took a quick bath and came out in fresh clothes that didn’t smell of demon.

"Baby." She called him.

Severus followed after her and he barked. freēnovelkiss.com

Justin smiled happily when he saw her. "Mommy, I have been waiting for ten minutes." He tilted his head and looked at Severus.

"Were you giving Severus a bath? Mommy, daddy told me to make sure that you don’t share a bath with him."

"Oh did he now?" She replied.

A lot of sarcasm was made in that small statement, not that Justin noticed.

She recalled all the times her so called husband had sent Severus put of their bedroom or bathroom, complaining that he was male. It must have been because he knew that Severus was not a dog. Once the fog cleared even more from her mind, Scarlet had slowly been able to isolate Esong when he was human and Nyx the reaper.

A very clear situation was when she confessed her pregnancy. There was no way Nyx the reaper would have freaked out like that about the children.

She didn’t have all the answers but she was getting closer everyday.

"Isn’t it time for your mechanics class already?" She asked him. She didn’t want to talk about his father right now.

"Mommy can I speak to my sisters first?" He looked eagerly at her stomach and asked.

Everyone that accompanied Scarlet on this trip knew about her pregnancy. It included Adler, Arya, Lora, Cecily, Etienne, Tion, teacher Kong from Bartholomew’s academy and three other guards.

Adler was the one that told Justin about the pregnancy and the boy was even more clingy than he had been before. The clinginess had transferred from Scarlet to his sisters. Every free second he got, he wanted to talk to his sisters, read to them or just put his head on her belly and sleep.

He was going to be a very good big brother obviously. He might however have a bit of Adler’s overprotective tendencies given the way he was behaving.

"Mmm, class first and then you can read them little red riding hood so that they can learn to stay away from big bad wolves." She told him.

"Okay." Justin jumped up. Then he turned around, sat down and kissed her stomach. He patted it gently and said, "Sisters, be good."

He used words that Scarlet had used many times lately whenever the children moved around too much or caused her pain. She didn’t have Lythia’s milk to calm them down anymore and she was relying on her soul power.

She usually touched her stomach and simply said be good and they would calm down.

Perhaps they knew how important this mission was so they listened to her and settled down.

Mother, son and hound went to the gardens. It was a big ship and Scarlet had done all she could to make it more homey for Justin and he loved it.

As they walked, he paused a question to something she had never thought of.

"Mommy what will my sister’s be named?"
