Transmigration; A Mother's Redemption and a perfect Wife.-Chapter 219; Hehe... Momma, I was just curious
Chapter 219: Chapter 219; Hehe... Momma, I was just curious
He didn’t know how to approach her or say anything to her because he knew what had happened back then, and he was a child himself who couldn’t protect himself and protect her. Their parents had dumped her in some relatives’ homes, and they lost her; from then onwards, they never got to hear any news about them; it was like the entire family just vanished overnight. As he grew up, he felt like their parents could have intentionally lost her or orchestrated the entire thing if they had abandoned him at the temple. He felt like they were capable of anything.
How could people suddenly disappear like they never existed? How could these relatives run away and their whereabouts never to be known until to date?
"Hello, I actually don’t have many childhood memories left, so please do forgive me if I accidentally do offend you." She was awkward and shy having to face this teenage boy who was of the same age as her. She could see that face that was just like hers that she was already missing but she was happy with her new life and new identity.
"Hello..." He was nervous and his hand was shaking. He didn’t know if it was out of excitement or if he was happy that he was finally having a closure in this matter. He was finally reunited with his sister.
"All right, I will go over to the kitchen and see what’s going on there. You two can have a little chat over there on the couch and get to know each other, and about Nanny Yun, I will talk to her about your identities and see how to handle the situation." She gently tapped on their shoulders giving them some private space to chat or probably stand there staring at each other since they were both shy and awkward in communication while she went over to the kitchen. It was lunchtime and guests needed to have some food.
Tang Fei walked away over to the corridor as Huo Wu trailed behind her.
"Missus, are you certain about that? And, your husband has been standing at the door secretly watching your every move. Does he doubt you or your identity or something? Is there a problem? Is there a fire burning in the backyard?" Huo Wu didn’t know much and he was just recently transferred over to the mansion a few days ago. He actually didn’t work around the mansion, and then, he was specifically assigned to protect Tang Fei this time, so he needed to know if there was a problem he needed to handle as soon as possible. So, he didn’t know anything about their relationship but from the snippets of the information he has received, it states that the person he is talking to is totally different from the one who lived in this mansion several months ago, but her character suddenly shifted from a villain to a good person! How was that even possible? Did she get any form of enlightenment?
The images were just indicating that it was the same person he was talking to; the person walking beside him didn’t have any plastic surgery on the face, as he could have noticed already. She didn’t give him any vile vibes. What could be the cause of that vast change? What could have happened?
"Hehe, I don’t think he doubts, probably just curious about some things. If people suddenly change, you would find yourself curious; it’s just that he doesn’t know; my mind is awake now; I can differentiate what’s wrong and what’s right correctly and what I’m supposed to do. And now, I only want to be good to my family, be a good wife and mother. While locked up, I had serious dreams, and waking up, I realized how wrong I had been." Could she tell him she isn’t the original Tang Fei? Wasn’t this bound to bounce negatively on her? Couldn’t they think she had lost her mind completely? Who could believe that such things do happen?
And if she dared to speak out loud, these words would get over to Sixth Master Huo’s ears, they were still his men and not hers that they had to be loyal to her. No matter what, they had to be loyal to him only.
"Oohhh... That’s good." They strolled over to the kitchen and came across Nanny Yun who was carrying things out of the kitchen while she placed them on the outside dining table before she could take them over to the gazebo.
"Nanny, you don’t have to carry these things by yourself, moving from one place to another, exhausting yourself with how weak your bones are." Tang Fei understood that she worked for her but at her age, she shouldn’t be moving around the mansion like that so vigorously. Her body was aging and it needed less movement not to strain her muscles.
"I will do it Momma, Auntie. Don’t stress yourself. I will handle this." Qin Xinyu and Twilight were just behind them; since they couldn’t say much to each other, they decided to get over to the kitchen, trailing behind Tang Fei.
"I will do it too..." Twilight also volunteered since she didn’t have much to do and her wounds weren’t aching, so they took over the things Nanny Yun was carrying over to the outside dining room, arranging them on the huge table. Other guards came over and began taking the huge serving bowls packed with food over to the gazebo. frёewebηovel.cѳm
The food was ready and served into huge bowls, "Missus, we are done with cooking and cleaning, anything else we can do for you? Any assistance?" The servants who had been cleaning walked over to the kitchen exit door where they were standing.
They looked exhausted and sweaty after working in the kitchen for long hours. It was time they rested.
"Nope! Go and get some rest. I will surprise you all this evening once I’m done with the guests or tomorrow morning." She gently tapped on their shoulders grateful that they had done such a clean job for her. And she was certain that the food was going to be delicious.
"All right Missus..." They all left the kitchen after cooking and cleaning everything up leaving the place sparkling clean since it’s them who would again use that place.
"I will find more people to handle the food." Huo Wu walked away over to the sitting area; now, it was only Nanny Yun and Tang Fei remaining in the kitchen, making sure all the food was served away and in case the remaining ones could be stored away into the freezer.
"Nanny, you can go and handle those serving bowls and arrange them accordingly, I’m coming over in a minute." She waved her hand and Nanny Yun nodded her head before heading over to the gazebo. She was glad that all the work was being handled and her lazy bum would just loiter around lazily.
"Aaawh! It feels good to be rich!" She heavily yawned looking around.
"Where are they?" She mumbled as she strolled around the kitchen searching for them all around. The kitchen had several inlet and outlet doors that led to the backyard garden, to the store, to the garage, and other places that were hidden there. She immediately thought of the backyard garden which she had found to be a pleasing and easy place to hide in.
She exited the kitchen at the back door and could see them squatting down in the middle of tall vegetables eating God knows what! They sat in a circle munching some crispy stuff that they had in their palms while whispering.
"Minghao?"
"Yes, Momma..." She hurriedly stood up and walked to the front covering the others up with her tiny body.
"What are you doing there in the vegetables?" She giggled while moving her head from right to left, trying to see the other kids Minghao was covering with her body, but Minghao also followed her head’s movements, covering them up while moving forward.
"Hehe... Momma, I was just curious about some vegetables so I came over to check them out and understand what they are since I heard some two kids arguing about those same vegetables. I was getting ideas to argue for, you know." She giggled while she sneakily wiped her mouth clean, which had crumbs all over because of their clumsy eating.
