Yang Meiyi looked at the time as she lay on the bed and wondered where Fu Mingze had gone. It has already been two hours, why isn’t he back yet?

Just when she thought of calling him, the door to the room opened and Yang Meiyi quickly closed her eyes, pretending to be asleep. She felt as he laid down beside her and wrapped his hand around her saying "I love you."

Yang Meiyi opened her eyes and turned to him asking "Are you mad at me?"

Fu Mingze shook his head as he said "Definitely not at you. I’m mad at myself for trying to take what you wanted most and that is a child of your own."

"If I had known of your fears then I would never have lied about taking the pills, I just thought you didn’t want to have a child with me."

"How could you think that?" Fu Mingze asked as he placed a hand on her belly saying "I have always wanted to start a family with you, Yang Meiyi."

Yang Meiyi smiled and asked, "Who do you think the child will take after, hopefully, it will be me."

"Please no. Having two of you in my life will drive me insane." Fu Mingze said with a soft laugh.

"That’s not fair." Yang Meiyi said, pouting her lips.

Fu Mingze chuckled and suddenly pressed his lips to hers, he kissed her softly but with so much intensity that Yang Meiyi felt like melting into his arms.

The kiss lasted for a few minutes before he pulled away, his eyes darkened seeing her swollen lips and he whispered "Thank you for making me a father."

Yang Meiyi embraced him tightly and said "We are going to be parents, Mingze. I’m so nervous."

Fu Mingze smiled as he wrapped his hand around her and said "We are going to raise that child together, so there is no need to be nervous."

"What do you mean you spoke to Yang Jia alone?" Gu Zhen asked with a frown.

"Why, are you nervous about hearing that your fiancee and lover met with each other? Don’t worry, we weren’t plotting against you."

Yang Meiyi frowned and said, "If drinking is your method of saving Yang Corporation then I’m sorry to tell you that you have already failed."

Yang Jiu smiled bitterly and said, "Well, I have already failed as a father."

"What are talking about? It’s not over yet, with Gu Zhen’s help we can rise again."

Yang Jiu slammed his glass on the floor and said "Don’t you feel any guilt, Yang Jia? Just when did you become a monster?"
