Yang Meiyi went to the station and saw the police questioning the man who had run her mother over. After the questioning, Yang Meiyi begged the police to allow her to speak to him, the policeman looked at Yang Meiyi pitifully, he had heard that the young girl had lost her grandfather as well, perhaps she needed closure, with that in mind the policeman agreed to Yang Meiyi request.

Sitting in an interrogation room, Yang Meiyi looked at the middle-aged man who was responsible for her mom’s accident and asked with no emotion in her voice "Why did you do it?"

The middle-aged man cried and said, "It was an accident, I had a little too much to drink and I didn’t see her coming."

"Then why did you run away? why didn’t take her to the hospital? If you had done that then perhaps she would have survived, perhaps she would still be here with me and Grandpa would still be here with me."

"I was scared, I wasn’t thinking properly."

"So you ran and left her there lying on the cold floor." Yang Meiyi replied coldly.

The man just kept crying and didn’t say anything.

"I hope you rot in jail. You should spend the rest of your life paying for taking her away from me." Yang Meiyi said as a tear slipped from her eyes. She stood up, brought out a small pocket knife from her pocket, and suddenly used it to stab the man’s hand that was on the table.

As the man screamed in pain and as the police came in to handle the situation, Yang Meiyi said "That pain you feel is nothing compared to what I feel because of your actions."

"Meiyi."

Yang Meiyi heard a familiar voice call her with disbelief, she turned and saw Fu Mingze looking at her. Though he had a look of disbelief, there was no judgment in his eyes when he looked at her, perhaps that was what made her run into his arms.

Fu Mingze hugged her and said "You should never have done that, you shouldn’t have to taint yourself like that. I would have done it for you Meiyi. I would have killed him if you had even asked me to."

Yang Meiyi began crying as she squeezed his shirt tightly and said "I don’t want him to ever get out."

"He won’t. I promise you he will never get out." Fu Mingze said while still hugging her in his arms.

After calming her down, Fu Mingze took her to his car and asked "Do you want to eat something?"

Yang Meiyi shook her head and said "I need to go to the Sang mansion for the reading of Grandpa’s Will."

"Should I drive you there?"

"I will take a cab. I just need a moment alone." Yang Meiyi said.

"Ok." Fu Mingze replied and watched her leave the car, he thought she was going to take a cab but was surprised when she came to his side window and used her hand to tell him to lower his window.

When he did that, Yang Meiyi suddenly kissed his cheek and said "I love you. I will call you, I promise. Take care of yourself and don’t forget your medicines."

Fu Mingze smiled and held her hand as he said "We are going to be alright, right?"

Yang Meiyi let out a soft smile and said "Of course we are, I will see you later."

Fu Mingze nodded and watched as she entered a cab before driving away.

As Yang Meiyi entered the Sang mansion, she froze when she saw Yang Jiu already sitting.

She saw it as perhaps her father wanted to be there for her while Grandpa Sang’s Will was being read so without saying anything, she just sat down on one of the couches and waited for the lawyer to begin the reading.

The lawyer took a look at them and began "Old Master Sang had a lot of properties during his time of living. His total assets excluding the Sang Enterprise are worth over a hundred billion and his total liquidity is over fifty billion, all of that goes to his granddaughter Yang Meiyi while his company, Sang Enterprise goes to his son-in-law, Yang Jiu."

"What? Grandpa gave his company to Dad?" Yang Meiyi asked in disbelief.

Before the lawyer could answer, Yang Jiu said "That must be the important thing he wanted to tell me when I found him unconscious in his studies."

Yang Meiyi looked at her father and felt something was wrong, she glanced at the lawyer and said "I may not be a business person but I know the Sang asset is worth more than a hundred billion. Just last year, the Sang Family rose to number fifteen in the wealthiest family in country M and there is no way they did that with an asset worth a hundred billion."

"So are you saying that I’m lying? I have been old Master Sang lawyer even before you were born." The lawyer said with a frown.

Yang Meiyi scoffed and said "I’m saying that perhaps you didn’t calculate the figures properly. I may be young but I am not stupid, my fiance is the top businessman in this country, my mom runs a resort and I know a little of all the assets of my grandpa and there is no way it is worth over a hundred billion. Who knows if you are trying to cheat us and keep the remaining money for yourself?"

"Yang Meiyi, you are crossing the line." Yang Jiu scolded.

Ignoring her father, Yang Meiyi looked at the lawyer and said "Recalculate your numbers and then read that will again." Meiyi stood up and said, "Call me when you are done."

After Yang Meiyi left, Yang Jiu laughed in disbelief and muttered to himself "Who would have thought that your daughter would be just as smart as you? It’s time to get rid of her, don’t you think?"

"What should we do now? if she contests the Will then she may find out that the total assets of her grandfather are worth five hundred billion and that the old man left Sang Enterprise for her." The lawyer said nervously.

Yang Jiu looked at the lawyer with a calm gaze and said "Relax. She won’t contest the will, Yang Meiyi is my daughter and I will handle her. You have done your job lawyer, now let me do mine."

As Yang Meiyi stepped outside the Sang mansion, she felt anger at the lawyer who tried to take her for a fool, when she wanted to call the police, she received a message from an unknown number.
