Yang Meiyi stared at the message for a brief moment and called a taxi to take her to Sweet Bite cafe.

Yang Meiyi arrived at Sweet Bite Cafe and saw someone waving their hand to her, she immediately recognized the woman as one of the maids who worked at Sang mansion.

Yang Meiyi walked towards the woman and heard her saying "I’m so glad you came."

Yang Meiyi sat down and said "I know you. You worked as a maid in my grandpa’s mansion."

The woman nodded and said, "Old Master Sang has been very kind to me and my family that’s why I cannot stand the injustice that is happening to you."

"But what injustice are you talking about?" Yang Meiyi asked

"Mr Yang lied when he said the old master was already unconscious when he got there."

"How do you know he lied?" Yang Meiyi asked with a frown.

"Because when I was about to bring him tea, I overheard them arguing. Old Master Sang was saying not even when he dies will your father be able to lay his hands on his company." The woman said and then she bought out a white pill from her purse, placed it on the table and continued "There was a time Mr. Yang came to me and asked me to always mix this in the old master tea and in return he would help my son with his surgery, though I accepted the pill but never did i mixed this in your grandfather’s tea. I was mostly afraid of what this pill meant, so I asked a friend who was working in a lab to help me examine the pill and the result was terrifying."

Yang Meiyi’s heart sank as she asked "What was the result?"

The woman held the white pill and said "Taking this pill leads to an early heart attack. I was also there when the doctor announced that Grandpa Sang was okay, so since he died because of a heart attack it means one thing. Your father Yang Jiu probably got someone else to do it for him. The night where he collapsed, I wanted to tell him the truth about Yang Jiu as well but I never expected for him to die just like that."

"Do you... do you know what you are saying? You are accusing my dad of killing my grandpa."

"I know and perhaps if I had said something earlier, maybe gone to the police then Old Master Sang would have still been alive." The woman said as a tear slipped from her eyes.

There were no tears in Yang Meiyi’s eyes, her eyes were clear but cold and held no emotion. No one could tell what she thinking, she stood up and said "I understand, thank you for telling me this."

The woman nodded and said "I’m sorry Meiyi. You are so young yet you are going through a lot. First the death of your mother, then your grandfather and now you are about to face the betrayal of your family. I wish I could do more for you but I’m sorry, confessing to you is all I can do." The woman gave Yang Meiyi the pill and said "You should have this, I’m sure it will be more useful to you than to me."

Yang Meiyi stared at the pill in her hand and left the cafe.

"She stabbed him with a pocket knife?" Gu Zhen asked in disbelief as he looked at his assistant and when his assistant nodded, he suddenly laughed uncontrollably.

His assistant Ji Lai looked at him and asked "Why did you help Yang Jia cover her crime? if this is found out then you will be in trouble and all your plans will be ruined."

Gu Zhen smiled and said, "When you are in love you don’t think before you act."

"But you always think, do you love Yang Jia that much?" Ji Lai replied.

"You don’t think I do?" Gu Zhen asked in return.

"I think you can’t stand seeing Yang Jia in trouble and she knows this and that is why she takes advantage of the feelings you have for her. If the old man finds out what you have done then..."

"He will never find out. Sang Xiu hit and run case is close and it will remain that way forever." Gu Zhen replied coldly.

After coming out of the cafe, Yang Meiyi received a message from Yang Jiu asking her to meet him at the Yang mansion.

Yang Meiyi immediately took a cab to the Yang mansion and when she entered Yang Jiu study’s, she saw Yang Jiu and Yang Jia already waiting for her.

Yang Meiyi scoffed and asked, "Is this a meeting where both of you gang up against me?"

Yang Jiu frowned and said "As always you speak so rudely. There were many times I warned your mother not to spoil you so much but it all fell on deaf ears."

Yang Meiyi glanced at Yang Jia and said "Seeing Yang Jia, I’m sure you didn’t call me for a father and daughter bonding right?"

"No. I called you because you need to sign some papers before you leave."

"Before I leave? Leave to where?"

"To the US, Meiyi. This place holds a lot of bad memories for you and I think it’s best if you leave this place and go somewhere else to start anew.
