"I’m home!" A female voice shouted

"Mommy!!" A little girl shouted as she ran to meet her mother.

Yang Meiyi smiled as she watched the little girl running to her mother and said "Your daughter just kept asking for her mom, she is a Mama’s girl."

The young woman laughed softly as she carried her daughter and asked "Did you miss mommy?"

"Yes, but I also like spending time with Aunt Meiyi."

Yang Meiyi smiled at the child’s words and said to the young woman named Sophia " Why don’t you put her to sleep while I serve dinner."

Sophia nodded and carried her daughter to the room. Few minutes later, she met Yang Meiyi at the dining table and asked "How do you feel about going back tomorrow?"

Yang Meiyi played with her food for a while before answering "I’m nervous about seeing him, scared that perhaps he would have moved on."

Sophia stood up and went to her kitchen cabinet, she collected a bottle of wine with two glasses and said "Rather than dinner, I think we need this drink instead." She opened it and turned more than a little for both her and Meiyi.

Sophia drank a little bit of wine and placed the glass back on the table and said "The truth is after the way you broke his heart and lied that you lost the only thing he had left of his mom, don’t expect him to welcome you with opened arms."

"I know." Yang Meiyi said as she drank the whole glass of wine and turned another one in to her glass.

Sophia sighed at her action and said "No Meiyi, you don’t know. You have that look in your eyes that everything is going to be all right once you go to him. He might not even want to see your face Yang Meiyi and that’s what you need to know."

"I know all that but it doesn’t change the fact that I’m going to fight for him."

"And if he still doesn’t accept you, what if there is currently another woman in his life right now?"

"I don’t care, I will keep fighting for him but if he is truly happy with someone else then I will leave after destroying the Yang family." Yang Meiyi said firmly.

Sophia smiled and asked, "They no longer have anything on you?"

Yang Meiyi shook her head and said "After Little Lei’s surgery, I paid the doctor to transfer her to another hospital without informing Yang Jiu, and after a month, I found a rich family in another country to adopt her. They fell in love with her at first sight and before Yang Jiu even found out it was already too late."

"What you did was honorable. You chose that girl’s life over staying with your love and if not for you, my daughter Emma wouldn’t be here. I wish you all the happiness in the world, Meiyi. Go get your revenge and your love back."

Yang Meiyi smiled and said, "Thank you."

Just then there was a knock on the door, before Sophia could react, Yang Meiyi said "Don’t worry, I will go get it."

She opened the door and saw Zhang Chun smiling at her "A rose for the beautiful lady." He said as he handed her a red rose.

Yang Meiyi accepted the rose with a smile and said "Thank you."

"I think it’s time for me to leave, I will see you tomorrow before you leave," Sophia said.

"Goodnight Sophie." Zhang Chun said.

"Goodnight Zhang Chun," Sophia replied as she walked into her room.

"Do you want something to eat?" Yang Meiyi asked.

Zhang Chun shook his head and handed her an invitation card.

Yang Meiyi took the card and asked "What is this?"

"That is an invitation to the once-in-a century party hosted by the top three richest families in Country M."

"But how were you able to get an invitation?"

"The Zhang family may not be one of the richest families but we have our connections."

"That’s perfect. Tomorrow, I will have my first victory against Yang Jiu." Yang Meiyi said.

Zhang Chun smiled and said, "Our flight is by 9 am tomorrow, the party starts by 7 pm."

"Our? Are you leaving your girlfriend behind?"

"I tried, but she kept insisting on having a long-distance relationship while all I just wanted was to break up with her." Zhang Chun said with a tired sigh.

Yang Meiyi scoffed and hit him with her fist as she said "This is why Sophia hates you, she has never seen you with the same girl for at least a month."

Zhang Chun smirked and said, "Perhaps my heart is waiting for someone to reciprocate its feelings."

The smile on Yang Meiyi disappeared when she heard his words and Zhang Chun suddenly started laughing.

"Relax Meiyi, I was just joking. To be honest, after everything we have been through together I think we can never be more than friends and you are my best friend Meiyi and I love you."

"You are my best friend too and I also love you." Yang Meiyi replied with a warm smile. Throughout these two years, Zhang Chun has always been by her side, especially in her darkest moments. If he hadn’t found her that day and forced her to begin seeing a therapist then perhaps she would still be in that dark place. Zhang Chun’s place in her heart will always be irreplaceable, he will always be her best friend.

Staying in the US for two years had somehow helped her a lot. She was able to study and get a business degree and was also able to work in a fashion company and now that she was going to country M, she hoped she would be able to work in Gem World. She met a lot of nice people in the US, like Sophia, her therapist, and a lot of others but those people could never make her forget about Fu Mingze, the man who sent her divorce papers one month after she moved to the US, she never signed it and would never sign it.

Although her love for Fu Mingze will never die but tomorrow’s party won’t be about their reunion, it will be the first stage of her getting back everything that the Yang family stole from her, it will be the first phase of the Yang’s family destruction.
