Old Master Fu sat in a chair like a king and watched Fu Mingze coming in with Yang Meiyi, he looked at their joined hands and frowned "What is the meaning of this Mingze?"

Fu Mingze looked at his grandfather in the eyes and slowly let go of Yang Meiyi’s hand, he suddenly knelt before the old man and said "Six years ago, I dishonored your position as the head of the family by getting married without your consent."

"What?" Grandpa Fu asked in surprise even Butler Xia who was standing at a corner was also surprised. How was it possible that the young master was married for six years but no one knew?

Yang Meiyi also knelt beside Fu Mingze and said "I was the one who forced him to keep our marriage a secret. I was eighteen and I knew my mom would never agree to my marriage so I beg Fu Mingze to keep it a secret." 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚

"And now you want to tell the world that you are married to her?" Grandpa Fu asked and when Fu Mingze nodded, he suddenly laughed loudly.

Fu Shen pointed his cane to his grandson and said "As long as I live I will never let that happen. I will never acknowledge her as your wife. Ye Qingyi is the only one I will acknowledge, you have to divorce this woman immediately."

"Grandpa." Yang Meiyi whispered.

"You lost the right to call me grandfather the day you caused my grandson to spend two months in the hospital. I ask you for one thing Meiyi, one thing, that you should never break my grandson’s heart and you did just that."

Yang Meiyi bit her lip in an attempt to not cry and said "I didn’t mean to hurt him, I just didn’t have a choice."

"No matter what you say, in my eyes, you will never be worthy of my grandson. If you truly love him, you will divorce him and let him begin again with Ye Qingyi."

Yang Meiyi shook her head and held Fu Mingze’s hand saying "If I truly love him then I will fight for him and that’s what I’m doing."

Grandpa Fu looked at the two of them kneeling on the floor and said "I would like to speak to my grandson."

"Alone." He added.

Fu Mingze looked at Yang Meiyi and nodded his head, he leaned forward to kiss her on her forehead and said "I won’t take long."

Yang Meiyi stood up from the floor and followed Bulter Xia out of the room.

Silence took over the room after Yang Meiyi and Butler Xia left.

"You can stand up." Grandpa Fu said breaking the silence.

Fu Mingze shook his head and said "I won’t stand up until you are ready to give Meiyi a chance. She only did what she did because she was forced to."

"Won’t she leave you again if she is forced one more time?"

"She won’t." Fu Mingze replied with conviction.

"Do you love her that much?"

"I do. I love Meiyi very much. After my mom’s death, I felt a deep void in my heart, I felt completely empty. When Yang Meiyi came into my life, she filled that void, she made me look forward to the next day and now, my heart no longer feels so empty thanks to her."

"Will you be happy with her?" Grandpa Fu asked with a soft voice.

"I will be happy only with her." Fu Mingze replied with a smile.

Grandpa Fu sighed and said "If you can cancel today’s engagement without publicly humiliating the Ye family then you will have the permission to announce your marriage with Yang Meiyi publicly. Now leave, I would like to get some sleep."

Fu Mingze smiled and stood up, he walked to his grandfather and held his hand leading him to the bed.

After Grandpa Fu lies down on his bed, he looks at Fu Mingze and says "Be happy, Mingze. That’s all I have ever wanted for you."

Fu Mingze tucked his grandfather in as he replied with a smile saying "I will."

As she waited outside of Grandpa Fu’s room, Yang Meiyi felt uneasy for two reasons. The first was that she was worried that Fu Mingze was still kneeling on the cold hard floor and the second, well the second had not stopped staring at her after they left the room. Butler Xia just kept giving her a wary look as if she was here to harm someone.

When the door opened, Yang Meiyi immediately rushed to Fu Mingze asking "Are you alright?"

Fu Mingze patted her head gently and said "I’m fine and I’m sorry."

"Sorry? For what? Did Grandpa not agree to our marriage? Does he still want us to get divorced?"

Butler Xia looked at the couple and thought to himself; that stubborn old man. Does he want the young master to get divorced?

Fu Mingze shook his head and said "He no longer wants us to get a divorce but announcing our marriage might be delayed for 24 hours, I have to settle something."

"It’s no problem."

"Do you want to go back?"

"No, I want to stay here with Grandpa." Yang Meiyi said with a smile. Grandpa Fu was her only grandfather left and now he is angry with her, she must appease his anger and make him accept her from his heart.

Fu Mingze smiled and kissed her tenderly on her forehead before leaving.

After a lengthy conversation with Ye Rong, Fu Mingze looked at the numerous messages that Ye Qingyi had sent to him and walked forward to the hotel hall where they were supposed to get engaged.

Even though it was two hours before their engagement, reporters were already gathered to record the engagement ceremony between the young master of the Fu and the only daughter of the Ye family.

As soon as the reporters noticed Fu Mingze entering the hall, they all gathered him and began asking him questions.

"How do you feel about your engagement with Miss Ye?"

"We have heard that your former fiancee has returned to country M, do you no longer feel anything for her?"

"Since this is your second engagement, do you feel different?"

While the reporters asked all sorts of questions, they each stayed a step away from him because they were all afraid of the man beside the young master. His assistant/bodyguard who had once destroyed a reporter’s leg just for stepping on his young master while trying to catch an interview, this assistant of his was extremely terrifying to them.

"Thank you all for coming but my engagement with Ye Qingyi will not be happening."

"Why?"

"Is the engagement maybe being postponed?"
