"Did you find her?" Yang Meiyi asked the man who was wearing a cap to hide his face. She wondered why a private investigator needed to cover his face from the person who hired him. What a weird man, at least he has been able to get the job done.

The PI passed a piece of paper containing an address to her and said "This is her current address. Two years ago she received five million in her account and has been leaving off that, never again has she worked as a maid."

Yang Meiyi looked at the address and asked "Were you able to trace the account from which she received the money?"

"Mr Yang must have thought that no way would notice him so he sent it from his account. The transaction was made three days after your grandpa’s death."

"Does she have any loved ones, anyone she cares about?"

The PI nodded and gave her a picture of a fourteen-year-old boy saying "That little boy is her nephew. Seems to be her only loved one. Her sister died leaving him in her care and now she is about to marry his father."

"She is marrying the guy who got her sister knocked up?" Yang Meiyi asked with a frown.

"Yes, but the issue is, I don’t think he knows that the kid is his." The PI said with a sigh.

"Interesting. What school does he go to?" Yang Meiyi asked.

The PI frowned and said, "I don’t support the hurting of kids."

"What?" Yang Meiyi asked with a laugh. "You think I want to hurt him, then it’s a good thing that I didn’t pay you two million yuan for your opinion so I will ask again, what school does he go to?"

The PI opened his notebook and wrote the name of a school before tearing it out and handing it to Yang Meiyi.

Yang Meiyi looked at the two addresses in her hands and said "You will receive your balance tomorrow, I will call you when I need you again."

The PI nodded and left without daring to ask any more questions.

After the PI left, Yang Meiyi’s eyes never left the two addresses on her hands, she looked at them for a long while as if lost in thought before whispering "I guess it’s showtime, father."

Yang Meiyi switched on her TV while holding a popcorn and soda, she ate the popcorn slowly as Yang Jiu started revealing the benefits of the project to the people. Even from here, she could see the people’s happy expression as her ex-father left no stone unturned in making his grand speech.

Half an hour later, the event was disrupted by a group of men in police uniforms, and with them was a woman in her early forties.

Yang Meiyi smile brightened when she saw Yang Jiu’s face and laughed out loudly.

One of the policemen walked towards Yang Jiu with a handcuff and said "You are under arrest for the murder of Sang Shao, whatever you say can and will be used against you in the court of law." He was about to handcuff him when Yang Jia came and pushed him aside saying "Don’t you dare lay a hand on him. Do you know who he is, he is the president of Yang Corporation, how dare a measly police officer treat him like a criminal."

The police officer scoffed and said, "I wasn’t the one who asked your father to go kill his father-in-law."

"You have no proof. Arresting my dad based on the words of a gold digger is not legal."

"I will be the one to decide what’s legal or not, Miss Yang. Apart from this lady’s confession, there is concrete proof to prove that your father murdered Mr. Sang. Now if you will excuse me, I will like to do my job or do you wish to follow your father to jail?"

Yang Jia glared at the police officer before turning to look at her dad and said "I will get you out of this dad, I promise. I know you didn’t do anything wrong."

Yang Jiu nodded and looked at all the press who were taking pictures and recording his arrest. His eyes met Qiang Du and he could see guilt in those eyes, he wondered why she turned up now after two years.

As the police took Yang Jiu away, the press rushed to him and started asking questions.

"Did you kill him for his company?"

Yang Jia watched as the police took her father away while the reporters followed him aggressively. She immediately took her phone from her bag and called the only person she knew could help her.

"Hello."

As soon as she heard his voice, tears rushed out of her eyes as she said "They arrested my father Gu Zhen. I don’t know what to do, the police just took him away."

"Why was he arrested? What were his charges?"

Yang Jia cleaned her tears as she said "He was arrested for the murder of old master Sang."

"Sang Shao? But didn’t he die of a heart attack?"

"Yes he did but now the police are saying that my dad killed him. Please Gu Zhen help me, you know I have no one besides you and my dad."

"Don’t cry. I will hire the best lawyers for him and before you know it, he will be out. Just tell me where you are and I will meet you there."

"Thank you, Gu Zhen." Yang Jia said with a smile. She knew Gu Zhen still loved her, perhaps he might have been swayed by Nie Yujie but it didn’t matter, because Gu Zhen will always come back to her.
