Triple X System-Chapter 201: Plant manipulation
’Bam! Crack~’
The dargon having enough fun of toying with it’s prey, delivered the last blow. The golden dome barrier, had spider crack lines running along it. Shattering under the dominating force exertted on it. Finally giving out, it’s radiant glow dispelling into thin air.
Now face to face with such creature, reze gulped a bit. Feeling the sheer beastial aura, emitting from the dargon. She stood still, her eyes locked onto the beast.
"Don’t give it satisfaction. You all did one hell of a job. I’m proud to fight along sides you." Reze tilted her head back a bit, with a light smile. Sending some bit of comforting words, into the hearts of the space guards.
Turning her attention back to the dargon, her face contorted into a frown. She struggled to maintain a poker face, but her briws betrayed her.
Twitching slightly in rage, from this unknown species of creature.
’Why? Even after giving it our all we couldn’t kill it.’
As a scientist and independent woman, she hated loosing. It just wasn’t part of her agenda. Her motto was infinite evolution and advancement of the human body to greater heights.
Which resulted in her dedicating her life to science and research at a young age. Facing many backlasues and even disowned by her own family. Which she didn’t care about one bit.
’They were all distrasctions of occupying mass in space.’ She reassured herself, putting faith in her work. Whuch paid off, as sye was recognized as the king himself.
Placing her in charge of all lumia’s technoligical innovations. Earning her a respected title amongst others from troy. Putting her in charge as head of lumia’s defense mechanism against unkown threats.
’I failed~’ A weak sigh escaped uer lips, seeing the dargon approaching.
She still had so mych yet to explore and discover, but at oast. Fate had a cruel walmy of playing tricks on one’s dreams and ambition.
"We won’t go down without a fight!"
Just when she’d accepted defeat, a defying roar pulled her attention. Followed by a barrage if energy beam, hitting the creature at a particular spot.
Turning, she could see the group under her command bore resilient faces. A testament to their undying heart, even when at great odds. Refusing to succumb to death easily.
"Alright then, let’s guve it our all!" Reze smiled, her finger squeezing tightly on the trigger button.
"Ma! Yes ma!" They replied in unison, shooting off beam after beam to the dargon’s head.
Raising it’s hand it blocked the barrage of bullets. Dragging it’s feet across the floor, against the never ending wave.
"Growl?"
It ket out a subtle growl, it’s face contorting to that of confusion. Seeing several items wrapped around both his arm and leg. Looking, what looked like blue whips crackling with blue lightning tug tightly to it’s skin. Drawing out fresh green blood, making the dargon’s eye widen a bit.
"Pull!" Reze yelled, to which the guards responded. Fiercely pulling the blue energy whip back with strength.
Their space armour proved to he effective, adding somewhat buff in strength. Pulling the opposing dargon arm and leg. Causing it to struggling to stand in place.
Stunned, the dargon was no doubt shocked at these unyielding humans steel of resolve. Nothing like it’d ever seen before, making it’s smile fade into a deep scowl.
"Almost there~" Reze muttered seeing the dargon’s hand almost away from it’s head. Her hand impatiently waiting for the opportunity to strike like a viper.
They’d decided to go all out or die trying. Considering as the beam rays did no damage at all to the beast. This was their last go to resort.
Struggling the dargon pulled it’s hand back, it’s strength proving effective. But it was up against about a dizen spac guards with soace armour. Increasing their physical stats beyond that of normal.
Not to mention the blue energy whips, sinking deeper into it’s skin. Causing damage by drawing out fresh bloid, suzzling with a static effect. Keeping it stunned in place.
’Now’s our chance.’
Seeing the opportunity they craved, reze and the remaining space guards without the whip pounced. Their weapons set to overdrive maximum.
The energy radiating in the beam cannons, caused it to shake under their grip. Gritting theur teeth they persevered, refusing to let this opportunity slip by.
’Zimmmmmm!!’
The weapon charged reaching it’s full potential within seconds. The familiar blue energy blast shot out with terrifying speed. Hitting the dargon point blank in it’s head.
It wasn’t dead yet, as it’s skull proved more effective than the ithers. Withstanding the high voltage of energy blast from the group.
"Die you bsstard." Reze clenched her teeth, planting her leos firmly to the ground. Refusing to be pushed off balance, from the weapons magnitude.
"Growl!"
The dargon roared in rage with bloodshot eyes. The high voltage blast hurting it, digging into it’s skull slowly. It might’ve withstood the full effects of a single blue high voltage blast.
But against about a dozen? The results were clear as day.
’Pop! Thud!’
The dargon’s head exploded into a bloody pulp. Sending brain tissues and fragments of skulls and juices everywhere.
"W- we did it~" Reze panted in relief seeing the dargon dead. Beads of sweat running down her face, along with the guards.
It had taken a huge toll on them, putting everything they had into that attack. It was a risky gamble, but it had luckily payed out.
’Bam!’
Just when it seemed it was over, about 20 ir more of these dark green screen dargon’s descended. Their eyes scanning the room with malicious intent, locked onto their targets.
"It’s over." Reze knees crashed to the ground knowing it was truly over now. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂
All the energy in their beam cannobs had been exhausted. The blue glow in the small mana stones around them faded, becoming dark.
"Roar!"
With an ear deafening roar, the new groups of dargon’s advanced towards the group. With astonishing speed, defying the laws of tgeur physique.
Accepting their fate, they awauted death having done their best. Which unfortunately wasn’t enough.
"Vine wall!"
Just when it seemed all hope was lost a figure cut through the air. With the appearance of thick green vines, with sharp sickles. Potruding from the ground, piercing tye bodies of some unlucky dargon’s that were caught.
"No one’s dying on my watch." Lisa softly landed with grace in front of the group.
Like a knight in shining armor, bringing hope to their previous deadpan expressions.
Leaping back the dargon’s that where lucky enough to evade watched this woman. She wasn’t like the rest of the group here. Containing a much friendly yet intimidating aura.
Snapping her fingers the struggling dargons, dangling on the vines that were not yet dead suddenly stopped moving. Their bodies contorting uncontrollably, while their eyes rolled to the back of their heads. Turning white.
"What just happened?" Reze had a dumbfounded look plastered to her face. She didn’t know what just transpired when lisa snapped her fingers. But it was no doubt serious business, killing the dargons within seconds.
"Head back to the teleportation bay and get help from the castle." Lisa calmly spoke, her gaze never leaving the dargon’s in front.
"But-" Reze wanted to interject but refrained from doing so.
She knew there was nothing she could do to aid Lisa. Which made her feel all the more useless.
"Don’t die on me now pretty princess." Reze smiled exiting earning a light chuckle from lisa.
Turning, she and the guards made their way to the teleportation bay. Putting their faith in one of the strongest monsters present in lumia kingdom.
"So this is the power of a plant ability user." Reze muttered, shuddering at bit at the sight of those green vines.
...
Staring at the dargon’s, her usual smile returned. Causing the group to flinch in fear afraid this was a trick by this charming yet deadly woman.
"Now.. who cares to explain to me the reason behind your sudden invasion. And the name and location of your leader?" She calmly uttered with a briad smile.
She was certain these dargons possesed some level of intelligence. Judging from theur reaction, against her vines.
"No one? Wait~ you can speak right?" She asked, but only received blank stares.
’Shoot! I assumed they could talk without confirming first. How impolite and rude.’ She face palmed her head, making the dargons stare at each other in bewilderment.
"I’m sorry for my earlier comment. I assumed you could speak based on my observations, but it seems i was wrong. Please forgive me." She bowed, with a sincere apolologitical face.
The potruded vines, with the dargons stuck in them then did something strange. Moving with life, seemingly sucking off the lifeforce of the creatures. Cutting into smaller pieces, forming bullet suzed thorns in front.
"Growl!"
The dargon’s growled seeing her preparing another attack. Refusing to stand still and be killed by this strange woman.
"I’m sorry, but you’re no use to me. I’ll give you a quick death now." Her vouce was calm and soothing containing a hidden coldness to it.
"Go." Lisa uttered the green thorn bullets moving at a fast pace. Colliding with the dargons body, piercing their resistance hide.
It was a ine sided fight from start to finish, as she mercilessly killed the beasts with a sick smile.
’Thud! Thud!’
More of these dark green skinned dargons, descended from the sky. Which onky made the sick smile on Lisa’s face widen more.
