Triple X System-Chapter 215: Defying laws of nature
’Zap! Zap!’
Crackling intensely, the lightning tornado hummed with a high pitch static sound. Getting louder, as it looked like it was ready to explode with a death level threat. Of collosal large scale destruction, capable of leveling the entire castle.
’Boom!’
The next moment, the contained lightning was dispersed.
’Huh?’ A frown formed to the dargon’s face, feeling something off.
The several contained lightning bolts were shot out, not directed towards the beast like anticipated. But upwards, piercing into the sky with a high voltage discharge.
Instantly turning the clouds dark, literally changing nature from the abrupt surge of lightning. Peels of lightning and rumbling of thunder, battled in a clash up in the air.
Indicating signs of a possible brewing heavy rain, or storm.
’He didn’t fire the bolts at me like intended, did he spot out my ability effects?’
It didn’t come as a shock much, considerable for someone of Troy’s status. But the beast had put in too much effort, to avoid being detected.
’This was meant to be over long ago. The high one won’t be pleased.’ The dargon gulped a bit, a hint of fear flashing before it’s eye.
"You fool, it doesn’t matter if you didn’t direct it at me. Cause you just made matters a whole lot worse." The dargon spoke with a smug grin, trying to intimidate troy.
"Us that so?" Troy responded in his casual voice, dispelling the tornado.
"Yes. Infact, I should be thanking you for making this easier. Your cocky pride just doomed your entire kingdom. Which makes me wonder, if you’re just dumb or insane."
Not responding immediately to the dargon’s roasting, troy locked eye contact with the beast.
His two dull eyes blankly staring at it, with an unreadable expression. Causing a light tingle to creep down the dargon’s spine.
’What’s with that deadpan look.’ It thought, wary of Troy.
"I’ve never been called dumb, so this is a first." A soft sigh escaped his mouth. "So I think it’s the latter."
A demented smile crept to Troy’s lip. Taking some steps forward, he increased his pace. Refraining from from walking, like he previously did.
Utilizing the air to around his legs, to further enhance his speed. Scowling the dargon didn’t stay in place either, shooting out smaller variants of the blue lightning bolts.
’Bam! Bam!’
Sparks of flames bouncing off the zaps that struck the ground, from the creature’s ability. Not stopping, troy easily evaded the lightning strikes. Taking light leaps, barely noticeable at first glance. Which made him look like he was sidestepping.
Controlling the air to seize the bolts into his own generated ball of air.
’Bang!’
The ground bore testament to the collision of two elephants. As instead of glass shattering, portions of the floor shattered instead.
’Swoosh!’
Troy was faster, throwing out a fist to the dargon’s chest. Causing it to cough up blue blood. Retaliating back, it swiped it’s massive heavy left claw in a wide jab.
Which packed in strength, not lacking in speed either. The lightning enhancing it’s movement speed.
"You’re dead." The beast flashed a smile at troy with evil intentions, seeing it’s claw close to the king’s head.
"Not quite." Troy casually spoke, grabbing the dargon’s hand.
Using the momentum, to direct the claw past his head leaned back slightly. To the side, with the protrusion of the lightning claw slash.
"How!?" Bare disbelief was written across the dargon’s face, watching Troy not only grab it’s arm. But redirect his claw attack, even dodging the lightning claw slash.
As if already planning the scene in his head.
Swiftly moving his free left hand, an air drill materialized from thin air. Buzzing with great power, violently rotating.
Attempting to evade the dargon couldn’t, pinned by troy. It’s blue lightning ability hindered from reaching Troy, stopped by an invisible barrier. Thereby inflicting no harm.
’Bam!’
The king’s fist found it’s Mark to the dargon’s gut, the air drill spinning with malice. Digging into the beast skin, burrowing deeper into it’s organs. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚
Emerging from the back with a gush of blue blood following.
"Argh! Get away you bloody monster!" The dargon screamed in pain, a mix of fear and bewilderment plastered to it’s burning eyes.
Staring into Troy’s emotionless face, like the blank page of a book.
’How isn’t he getting hurt by the lightning bolts?’ Kyle questioned, a spectator between two rivalled foes.
One a beast with strange lightning ability and incredible strength. The other a ruthless and cold human with dual abilities.
They were both monsters of abomination, a bigger plague to society in Kyle’s view. But Troy was the bigger monster here ni doubt, defying all odds.
At first when Troy had grabbed the dargon’s arm he was confused. Knowing full well how dangerous it’s lightning were, taking a huge risk fighting up close.
But grabbing it’s arm infused with lightning, was literally asking for death. Just like the surprises he’d been forced to accept, the lightning was being halted by troy.
[The dargon’s lightning effect has weakened. It seems that by withholding it’s lightning from it, it couldn’t absorb back energy. Therefore making it weak.] Snow explained, to which Kyle listened.
’So you’re saying the dargon is able to absorb it’s own attacks. Converting it back to energy?’ He asked just to be sure, which snow replied with a light "yes."
[Apparently, that’s one of the special perks of it’s strange ability. And somehow Troy was able to maneuver that, capitalizing in it. This reducing it’s power by a margin.]
Not responding, Kyle was lost for words. Just when he thought he couldn’t be intrigued, new set of information came knocking on his door.
"I see~" He lightly muttered, watching the clash of monsters.
.....
"At first glance, I had my suspicions your lightning ability was unique. But I couldn’t be ahead of myself, till I decided to try my little experiment." Troy said, several air bullets forming in a second.
Barraging the dargon’s body, along with chains produced from air. Wrapping around it’s legs, planted down to the floor. Restricting it from running away, simultaneously drilling into it’s legs.
Cutting away at the beast hard skin, like a hot knife to butter. Panicking, the dargon took a swing at troy. Before it reached halfway, it’s body was jolted up in the air a bit.
From the activation of Troy’s second ability. Making the air drill temporarily vanish.
’Boom! Boom! Boom!’
Not one or two, but several consecutive explosion sounds went off like a ticking time bomb. Assaulting the big hole, made by the air drill to it’s chest.
Further enlarging it, making the dargon wail in suffering. Of the tremendous wears and tear, inflicted onto it.
"What’s wrong? I thought you were going to end me. There’s still time for you to try, you never know~ I could be bluffing." Troy lightly chuckled, activating his second ability continuously.
The beast cries and screams echoing, like music to his ears.
[0:59]
The system notification timer flashed in Kyle’s view. Pulling his attention away from the fight.
"No, no, no! How could I forget!?" He cursed, knowing what the timer meant.
His heart thumping loudly in his chest, about to explode from the fast rhythmic pace.
’Why didn’t you remind me earlier!?’ He frowned, with rage burning in his eyes. Demanding an answer from his system.
[Because of that.] An arrow materialized in the holographic screen, prompting him to turn.
There before his eyes, the fatal attraction flowers had spread. Covering more than a 10 meter radius, including him and troy with the beast. His severed parent’s head glued back, like it was never cut off.
Along with the gapping hole made to falcon’s gut, closing back with the formation of new organs and flesh.
"She’s healing them with her energy." It was no doubt the work of Lisa, kneeling to the ground.
Her hands planted to the ground, emitting a soft green glow.
"Why didn’t I sense this before?"
[Because you were preoccupied, and I don’t blame you. A stronger opponent threatened not only your existence, but all humanity residing here. It’s only logical for the brain to process the more important important threat and survival.] She softly spoke in a warm tone.
"I’m sorry~" Kyle apologized, slightly lowering his head. "It’s just, a lot has happened lately beyond my control and I feel guilty."
[Which is normal for all living beings, possessing emotions and a brain. Don’t beat yourself over the past, instead strive hard to fix your flaws. And aim for a better future.]
’Did you just quote an inspirational line?’ He lightly chuckled.
[Shh!! Young one.. The teachings of the elders are too sacred to be understood.]
’Yup, now you’ve ruined it.’ He sarcastically rolled his eyes at his system banter.
’Bang!’
A lightning bolt struck away the top of a pillar behind Lisa. Making it plummet downwards with crushing speed.
’Not on my watch!’ He inwardly yelled. Stomping his leg, he shot from spot.
His right fist tightly clenched, punching forward at the pillar. Minimizing his strength, leaving just enough power to push it back.
