Triple X System-Chapter 242: Bonding Moment
Listening to the proud declaration of the masked figure, changed the beasts perspective. Like a 180 degree turn for the better.
"F-father, are you implying that you’ve finally found the cure to our short lifespan?" Kayla asked with inquisitive eyes, to which the figure nodded.
"Yes my child, we now have an easier path towards our life long goal." He paused, with a prophetic tone like an unhinged preacher.
Letting the words sink deeper into the hearts of his creations.
"To finally cheat death!" He made the most absurd claim yet, further igniting a lost sp MLark into the eyes of the dargon’s present.
"We’re gonna cheat death? Freaking cool!" Thorak exclaimed in joy.
Holding hands with the brimming full of life Kayla, hopping about like little bunnies.
"I can’t believe we finally found him after all these years~" A light sigh of relief escaped slicer’s mouth, a conflicted look plastered to her face.
"The missing key huh? Yay!" Gya weakly cheered, with a deadpan expression void of life.
"Come on big sister, you should be cheerful. We’ve finally found the missing piece to our incomplete puzzle." Winder, the sixth dargon among the twelve nudged her.
Gesturing her hands to her lip, with a slow deliberate upwards motion. Imitating a bright smile. Which the siren beauty with silver hair failed to replicate.
"Come on, help me out here Frieza." She glanced towards the slightly taller male dargon for help. But he paid no attention to her, his head lowered.
"Cold." He uttered with a deep tone.
Flashing a fake smile, her eyes twitched a bit. Tightly clenching her fist to surpress the rise in her rage. "It’s alright little brother, you’ve not always been the brightest with words."
She tapped his shoulder, sending a flood of freezing effect directed to her brain. "Cold~"
"Haha! Looks like it’s time for the era of the dargon’s to soar." Chubra grinned, stretching both his arms outwards. "Free like a bird."
Placing a miniature sleek metal fan to her lips, locks giggled slowly. "And how do you know what a bird does or it’s features when you’ve never seen one?"
"Hey~ I might be 2 years younger than you but we’re technically the same height." Chubra scoffed, pouting his cheeks like a child.
’So it’s true, kratos was killed.’ Murdock pondered, the words replaying in his head.
Unlike the rest dargon’s celebrating upon the good news, he focused on the bad news. Specifically the loss of not only one of his kind, but also his genetical brother. Causing his blood to run hot with rage, the more he thought about it.
"Murdock, you seem a little sour. Shouldn’t you be happy for our race?" Locks tilted her head with a confused glare, reading Murdock’s profile.
"Happiness you say? We just lost one of our kind. Not just anyone, but one of our brothers and fellow member of this group!" He retorded with a nasty growl, barring his sharp elongated teeth at her.
"Murdock!" The masked figure called out with a stern voice. "It’s not nice to speak harshly with your sister, apologize at once!"
The figure sternly commanded, attracting everyone’s attention.
"As you command father~" Turning to face lock, he slightly lowered his head. Prompting the same gesture from her.
"Someone’s in a bad mood." Kayla dubiously chuckled, enjoying the big dargon getting scolded by their creator.
"Forgive me for the intrusion father, but you mentioned kratos was killed. Could you be more specific on whom the perpetrator was?" Phaser butted in lightly easing the tension, maintaining a straight face.
Unlike Murdock, she was neither in a celebrating mood nor grieving state. Keeping a poker face, making it hard to read what ran through her mind.
"Of course my child, the person responsible for the death of your brother is none other than the missing key himself." The figure replied, to which phaser nodded taking a seat back down.
"But why? Why would he kill him if kratos mission was just to intercept the key and bring him back here?" Murdock questioned with an interrogative tone, his head still bowed.
"Still as passionate as ever I see, sigh! I didn’t send kratos to intercept the missing key. Infact, it was the opposite. I sent him to attack the location he currently resides in." The voice responded with an indifferent tone, causing Murdock’s heart to skip some beats.
"I don’t understand, why would you give out such an order if you predicted this would happen?"
"I didn’t predict kratos death, but I did anticipate some difficult challenges. Which is none of your concern, sacrifices must be made for the greater good. I understand your pain, but your brother’s death is not in vein."
Not responding immediately, murdock aura was subconsciously being released. Cracking the floor where he stood.
"What should we do now father? Should I fulfill your long last wish and bring the missing key here?" Murdock asked in a respectful tone.
"No." He shook his head. "Not you, your emotions clouds your judgement. I fear it will be your weakness."
Getting up, Murdock slightly bowed. "Very well then, I shall take my leave now."
Turning, he advanced towards the exit of the podium with heavy steps. No one dared to stop him, frightened of being his next victim.
"Like I said.. With the new development of the location the key resides in, our workload has been reduced greatly. But still, I detected signs of some potentially strong individuals siding the key." The figure added, an intriguing smile curving on his lips.
"They stand no chance against our destiny father." Thorak gestured with his fists.
"Yeah~ We’ll crush them with our mere presence and lay destruction to their home as retaliation for kratos." Kayla added.
"Of course, you’re my perfect creations afterall." The voice remarked, cutting the feed from the various projections.
Signalling the end of the meeting, and the dismissal of the savage beasts.
.....
In a small cramped room, a frail man with pale skin stepped up. Dropping a constructed helmet down to the desk in front.
His thin hand, with barely any meat left located the customed oxygen mask besides him. Carefully strapping it to his head, trailing on the red glass isosceles triangle cylinder.
Created through specific, nonstandard cross-section cuts. Connected to three thick wheels below, providing a smoother transportation experience.
"It’s finally happening, the exponential graph of infinity I had foreseen." The man motioned like flowing water with his hand. Picturing an image vivid only to the confinements of his mind.
"Very soon I’ll have my revenge on those prideful bastards that cursed me." He crackled wickedly like a mad man.
The device pumping in red particles, that resembled shimmering crystals into his nostrils.
.....
Back in Lumia kingdom, in the once grand castle reduced to a shadow of it’s former self. An event appeared to be in motion.
It wasn’t just any event in the plain setting, but a grand one. Affecting the entire planet and it’s residents.
The mana rain, or world tears, as refered to by the locals here graced orobos with it’s abrupt presence.
Causing a phenomenal change, that would define the future of the planet.
"He’s wearing out." Kyle could see Troy had slowed down in his movements. Even his breath was now rough, not from pleasurable excitement but the opposite.
According to snow, it had been just about over 30 minutes since the mana rain started. But it’d managed to greatly impact everyone within the early hours of it’s emergence.
[To be honest, he far exceeded my count of 10 individuals. Currently on the 13th, but there’s no doubt he’s reached his limit.] Snow declared and there was no arguing about that.
Though Troy was strong and powerful, he was still bound to the chains of mortality. Fatigue being a great barrier defining humans.
’There’s still so much here.’ Estimating the numbers of people under the influence of the mana rain, they were over 20 remaining.
And about half of them were successfully halfway through the awakening process by snow’s calculations. While the other half was fated to die.
[You’re not thinking of actually stepping in. Are you?] Snow questioned sensing Kyle’s thoughts.
’N-no~ I can’t risk it.’ He refrained from sabotaging his own goals, for some individuals that didn’t care about him.
"Heal." A voice commanded with the emergence of a bright purple glow, wrapping troy’s body. Restoring his stamina and mana pool.
"Lumia~" Kyle weakly muttered, watching the defiant princess head over to the crowd.
"What are you doing out here? I specifically instructed you to stay in your room, it’s not safe." Troy scolded with a frown.
Ignoring him, she crouched down to some individuals struggling under the influence of the world’s tear. Closing her eyes and concentrating, channeling her raw energy out enveloping them.
"Mhm~" A weak gasp escaped their mouth, calming their body temperature along with the excruciating pain.
"I understand your intentions to protect me, but you have to understand. I’m not that same nieve little girl you nurtured." She boldly stated, making Troy raise a brow at his daughter’s sudden personality change.
Shrugging, a weak smile formed to his face. "Very well then, let’s do this together."
He uttered, to which Lumia firmly nodded continuing in their work.
[Awwn~ so cute! There having their father and daughter bonding moment.] Snow excitedly exclaimed, blushing profusely. Leaving Kyle stunned in place.
