Unlimited estates for rural beauty-Chapter 123 A Night of Terror (8)
"It’s okay, you go on with your work, don’t bother about him." Waving his hand dismissively, who would believe the words of a mad dog?
Back at the inn, Feng Dongzhi smashed a few cups in his rage and shouted, "Son of a bitch, he actually dared to kick me out, I’ll make him regret it."
"Hmph, idiot," Panpan said without looking at Feng Dongzhi anymore. Now that he had no more value to her, he was disposable.
Under the cover of night, several people arrived at the manor and located Feng Xuxu’s room, only to discover Feng Xuxu was not there upon entering. They quickly left the manor and turned around.
"How did it go, that was quick, wasn’t it?"
The masked woman suddenly spoke up, thinking it was too easy to get rid of her, maybe too easy.
"Lady Panpan, Feng Xuxu is not at the manor, the room is empty."
"What? No one? Search! She must be dealt with tonight," she ordered, and a dozen assassins scattered in all directions.
Panpan went to Feng Xuxu’s courtyard and grabbed a maid who was busy boiling water in the kitchen, "Don’t move, or I’ll kill you."
The young girl was so scared, she just stared silently at the assassin. "Where is your master?"
"She went... went... to Shopkeeper Fo’s house."
"When did she leave, and when will she be back?"
"I... I... don’t know." As soon as she finished speaking, the assassin swiftly ended the life of the maid and hid the body, then he went to the rendezvous point. "Lady Panpan, Feng Xuxu went to Fo Yaobang’s house."
"Good, well done, let’s go." With a few quick moves, they disappeared.
"Haha, Auntie, your cooking is so delicious, look, I’ve eaten my belly round," Xiaobai said gleefully.
"Girl, whenever you want to eat, just come over, I’ll cook for you," the auntie replied warmly.
"Well then, Auntie, I’m going to leave now. I still have to check on Uncle Ma, so I won’t stay long."
"Girl, it’s so late, why not go tomorrow?" Shopkeeper Fo looked out into the pitch-dark night, worried about letting her go.
"It’s fine, Uncle Fo, you guys go back," Yingsu said and then drove the horse carriage towards the restaurant.
"Miss, something’s wrong, we’re being followed, get ready." Yingsu sensed the danger in the air and, listening intently, broke out in a cold sweat. There were nearly ten or more people following them – she could handle a few, but facing so many, she was not sure she could make it out alive. The only plan was to find Uncle Ma and take refuge with him for now.
Yingsu quickly drove the carriage towards the restaurant, furiously whipping the horses into a faster pace and making a cracking sound. In the chaos, she sent a flare into the sky, which quietly dispersed.
Uncle Ma was looking at the restaurant’s accounts when he saw something streak across the sky outside. Upon closer inspection, his face turned pale, and he immediately used his qinggong to leap into action.
A dozen men in black surrounded the carriage. The moonlight reflecting off the snow made the night less dark. The assassins, armed with swords and knives, encircled Yingsu. One of them took a couple of steps forward, "Hand over the person in the carriage quickly, and you’ll die comfortably. If not, we’ll separate your head from your body."
Yingsu snorted with amusement and lashed the whip onto the ground, scattering the snowflakes.
"Pfft, what a joke. You’re not nearly good enough to force anyone from me; you’ll die without even knowing who killed you."
"A tough little woman. Soon you’ll learn what fear is, attack, dead or alive," commanded the leader, and the other dozen rushed towards the carriage.
Feng Xuxu called out Xiaobai and Xiaojin from her space as a precaution and then pulled the curtain aside. She saw Yingsu holding her own against more than a dozen adversaries. In no time, she was slashed at several places but showed no sign of stopping, still attacking fiercely. Whenever her whip swept across someone, as if possessed by a hand, it wrapped around the target’s neck. Seizing the opportunity, Yingsu flicked her wrist with a clever force, decapitating the man – his head rolled to one side, eyes wide open in shock, and a high spurt of blood jetted from his neck.
