Urban Super Soldier King-Chapter 1826 - 1827: Xia Cheng’s Status in Xiaoxu
Xiang Yu went straight to Xia Cheng’s room.
"We are leaving now," Xiang Yu said briskly.
Xia Cheng was ready, packed his bag, and said with a sly smile, "I’ve been ready for a long time, and I will look after you over there."
As he walked to the door and looked up to see Tie Zhuzi, he was startled and quickly stepped back.
"Xiang Yu, you better keep an eye on this kid, or over there I’ll make him look bad." Xia Cheng’s face showed fear.
Tie Zhuzi sneered, "What, you think you can threaten me? I’ll twist off your head right now."
Tie Zhuzi said as he moved toward Xia Cheng, who quickly hid behind Xiang Yu.
With great strength, Tie Zhuzi was simply not someone Xia Cheng could fight.
Xiang Yu glanced at Tie Zhuzi, signaling him to stop messing around, then handed a black cloth to Xia Cheng.
Xia Cheng paused and frowned, "You still don’t trust me? I assure you, I won’t tell anyone about this."
"Just wear it, where’s all this nonsense coming from?" Tie Zhuzi retorted impatiently.
Fearing Tie Zhuzi, Xia Cheng quickly took the cloth and covered his eyes.
Xiang Yu led the way out, and Tie Zhuzi dragged Xia Cheng along.
The four got in the car, with Tie Zhuzi driving towards the city.
Wu Jing stood on the hill behind, watching Xiang Yu and the others leaving, he sighed deeply.
With Xiang Yu gone, the heavy workload fell on his shoulders, filling him with indescribable loneliness.
"Brother Yu, I must strengthen the Heavenly Dragon Mercenary Corps, then I’ll come to Xiao Xu to find you," Wu Jing muttered to himself.
After leaving the mountain and traveling some distance, Xiang Yu took off Xia Cheng’s blindfold. 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
Xia Cheng struggled to adjust to the bright light, keeping his eyes closed for a moment.
"I need to call Commander Cao and inform him first." Xia Cheng took out his phone and dialed.
Tie Zhuzi turned, wanting to speak, but Xiang Yu held up a hand to stop him.
Once connected, Xia Cheng said directly, "Commander Cao, I’m now heading to Xiao Xu."
There was a pause before Commander Cao responded, "How many people are there?"
Xia Cheng glanced at Xiang Yu and the others, "Including me, there are four people, my brothers."
Xia Cheng didn’t reveal Xiang Yu’s identity, having his own plans. He worried that mentioning Xiang Yu would lead Commander Cao to recruit him, leaving Xia Cheng out.
Despite his grievances with Xiang Yu, he couldn’t deny Xiang Yu’s capability.
"Fly directly to Xiao Xu’s capital airport; I’ll arrange for someone to meet you there." Commander Cao hung up right after.
Xia Cheng wanted to say more, but seeing the call ended, he chuckled awkwardly, "Commander Cao must be busy now."
Xiang Yu closed his eyes and lay back, not interested in engaging with Xia Cheng.
With Sun Bo captured and his whereabouts unknown, Xiang Yu needed to quickly get there and gather information.
About two hours later, Xiang Yu and the others arrived at the airport, which was eerily empty.
With Xiao Ba’s chaos, few people were willing to come here.
War can bring comprehensive harm to a country.
After handling all the procedures, the four boarded a plane heading to Xiao Xu.
The plane was scarcely populated, giving them a feeling of a private flight.
"Stick with me when we get there; I’ll make you top dogs," Xia Cheng boasted on the plane.
"Can you shut your filthy mouth? Can’t you see Brother Yu is asleep?" Tie Zhuzi snapped at Xia Cheng.
Clenching his teeth, Xia Cheng was about to retort when Tie Zhuzi raised a threatening fist, causing him to fall silent.
He couldn’t help but sneer inwardly; once in Xiao Xu, he’d surely teach this ignorant brat a lesson.
After about four hours, the plane landed smoothly at Xiao Xu airport.
Unable to contain his excitement, Xia Cheng quickly grabbed his luggage and dashed outside.
"Haha, Xiao Xu, I’ve finally arrived!" Xia Cheng shouted excitedly, standing there.
Xiang Yu and the others followed him out.
"Hey, where are the people picking us up?" Tie Zhuzi grumbled.
"Let me tell you, you better respect me, or don’t blame me," Xia Cheng responded with a lifted chin, as if transformed.
"Screw you, acting all tough with me," Tie Zhuzi said angrily, dropping his bag, ready to go after Xia Cheng.
Scared, Xia Cheng quickly hid behind Xiang Yu.
Just then, two men approached from the distance, dressed casually with an icy demeanor.
"Who’s Xia Cheng?" one of them asked.
Seeing the two, Xia Cheng was instantly elated, knowing they were sent by Commander Cao, and stood there cheerfully, "That’s me."
"Hey guys, this brute wants trouble with me. Teach him a lesson," Xia Cheng asserted confidently.
Tie Zhuzi hardly paid any attention to the two men, standing there unaffected.
"Hurry up and come back with us, we don’t have time to waste here," the two men said impatiently.
Frowning, Xia Cheng replied, "Are you here to pick me up? I order you two to teach him a lesson."
The two exchanged a glance, looking at Xia Cheng as if assessing something naive.
"Are you coming or not?" one of them asked coldly, a hint of threat in his eyes.
Xia Cheng froze, having assumed he would lead upon arriving here, but the situation seemed off.
Xiang Yu also furrowed his brows; it seemed Xia Cheng didn’t carry much weight with Commander Cao.
Awkwardly, Xia Cheng looked at Xiang Yu and then said, "Let’s get in the car first; we can discuss at the base."
Xiang Yu remained silent, following him into the car.
As they drove, Xiang Yu observed the surrounding dilapidated buildings, feeling uneasy.
The area was filled with ruins; many women and children begged outside. Witnessing it firsthand was the only way to believe such destitute places existed.
This was the disaster wrought by war.
"How much further?" Xia Cheng asked nervously.
"Stop babbling, sit tight," the driver replied impatiently.
Sitting in the back, Tie Zhuzi cast a disdainful glance at Xia Cheng, "Didn’t you say you’d look after us here? How exactly will you do that?"
Blushing, Xia Cheng realized he hadn’t anticipated these circumstances; he should’ve clarified his role before coming.
"I was sent by Commander Cao; back in Xiao Ba, I was the highest authority," Xia Cheng reminded the two upfront.
Wanting the pair to respect him, positioning himself as a leader.
They turned to look quizzically at Xia Cheng, chuckled, and shook their heads helplessly...
