Venerable Demon King & The Doting Immortal (QT)-Chapter 517: Tantalising lips
Chapter 517: Tantalising lips
Han Xin shifted uncomfortably under Xiang Yu’s unwavering gaze. He couldn’t fathom why Xiang Yu insisted on this strange proposition.
Why did he want to be in a relationship with him when they were enemies? It made no sense. Wasn’t Xiang Yu afraid he would kill him in his sleep? The thought lingered, a heavy weight on his mind.
"I can only agree once I see the water source with my own two eyes," Han Xin finally said, trying to maintain his composure.
Xiang Yu leaned back on the couch, a chuckle escaping his lips. "What if you go back on your word?" he replied, amusement dancing in his expression.
Han Zhan, eager to support his cousin, chimed in. "He never goes back on his word."
Despite the banter, Xiang Yu’s gaze never wavered, scrutinising Han Xin. "Okay, when can we go?" he asked, his tone casual yet eager.
Han Zhan’s eyes widened. "What? You are coming with us?"
Xiang Yu shrugged, an innocent look in his eyes. "What, can’t I come?"
Han Xin nodded, a reluctant agreement forming. "You can come. We will go tomorrow morning."
"Okay." Xiang Yu smiled, reaching for the glass of water. He tilted his head back, drinking deeply. The way his Adam’s apple bobbed as he swallowed was captivating. Han Xin couldn’t help but stare a little longer than deemed polite.
After finishing the glass, Xiang Yu stood up to leave. "See you tomorrow." He wanted to stay and spend more time with Han Xin, but he knew it wasn’t the right time. The smile on his face was mesmerizing.
As he walked out, he struggled to keep his gaze off Han Xin’s partially exposed chest, a tantalizing invitation. Everything within him wanted to slip his fingers beneath that t-shirt, to make contact and feel the warmth of his skin. But he restrained himself, choosing to savour the moment rather than push too far.
Once the door closed behind Xiang Yu, Han Zhan turned to Han Xin, his expression serious. "Are you seriously considering it?"
Han Xin fell silent, a whirlwind of thoughts racing through his mind.
Han Zhan took his silence as agreement, his voice rising in disbelief. "But how can you have a relationship with him? I didn’t know you liked guys! Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but him?"
"Let’s talk about this tomorrow when we find the water source," Han Xin replied, his tone firm.
Han Zhan opened his mouth to convince him that this was a terrible idea but quickly realized Han Xin wasn’t in the mood to discuss it any further. The weight of the topic settled heavily between them, and Han Zhan chose to let it go.

Early in the morning, sunlight crept through the curtains, casting a soft glow across the room. Xiang Yu was jolted awake by Mei’s gentle shaking. "Master, they said you should wake up now to leave," she said, her voice calm yet insistent.
Still half-asleep, Xiang Yu groaned but pushed himself out of bed. He shuffled to the bathroom, splashing water on his face and brushing his teeth with a sense of urgency. Looking in the mirror, he ran his fingers through his hair, trying to look good for Han Xin. Despite his efforts, his hair refused to stay in place, so he let it fall freely instead.
As he walked out, he found Lian sprawled on the couch, rubbing her eyes sheepishly. Mei was waiting for him with a cup of warm water. "Thanks," Xiang Yu said, accepting the cup and savouring the comforting warmth.
"Why do you have to go so early?" Lian asked, still half-asleep.
"It’s so we can come back early," Xiang Yu replied, glancing at the twins. Just by looking at them, it was clear who the morning person was.
Finishing the water, he set the cup down and said, "I am leaving."
"Master, why can’t we go with you?" Mei pleaded, her eyes wide and hopeful.
Xiang Yu shook his head, his expression firm yet gentle. "No, you stay here. It might be dangerous."
Lian yawned, stretching her arms above her head. "Master, we can protect ourselves."
"I know," he replied, "but just go to sleep. When I come back, we will have more than enough water."
As he walked toward the door, Lian and Mei followed, wanting to accompany him to the car. "Go back to sleep," he urged, smiling. "Don’t worry too much about me."
"Okay, be safe," they said in unison, their concern evident.
Xiang Yu felt warmth spread across his chest at their words. He stepped outside, the cool morning air brushing against his skin as he walked toward the two cars parked in front of the canteen.
The first person he spotted was Su Jing, busy preparing her gear. Some members of their group were loading weapons into one of the cars. Su Jing shot him a glare before turning away, dismissing him with cool indifference.
He shook off the moment and moved closer to Han Xin, who stood with the map spread out on the hood of the car. "What are you looking at?" Xiang Yu asked, curiosity piqued. frёewebnoѵēl.com
Han Xin turned to him, his gaze fleeting before he quickly looked away. "Which way are we going?" he asked, his voice steady but his posture tense.
Xiang Yu stood behind Han Xin, leaning in closer to get a better view of the map spread out on the hood of the car. As he reached forward, half of his body brushed against Han Xin’s back.
Instantly, Han Xin’s breath caught in his throat, the intense scent emanating from Xiang Yu enveloping him. The aroma heightened his senses. Han Xin’s muscles stiffened, and for a moment, he felt like he couldn’t breathe.
Xiang Yu pointed at a spot on the map, his finger hovering over a landmark. "There," he said, looking up to meet Han Xin’s gaze.
In that instant, they locked eyes, and a spark ignited between them, palpable and electric. Han Xin found himself captivated, unable to look away. His attention fell to Xiang Yu’s lips, a little moist and tantalizing. A thought crept into his mind. He was wondering if those lips were as soft as they looked.
Panic surged through Han Xin at that realization. He stepped aside quickly, distancing himself from Xiang Yu as if he carried the plague.
Xiang Yu let out a soft sigh, feeling the weight of what felt like rejection. In that brief moment, Han Xin caught a flicker of disappointment in his eyes but quickly dismissed it.
How could Xiang Yu be genuinely interested in him? The memory of their past attempts on each other’s lives loomed too large for Han Xin to ignore. It was simply unbelievable.
