Warm Married Life: Mr. President Loves His Darling Wife-Chapter 112 - 111: Fawning Over Someone
Elaine Vaughn’s stomach problem has been a chronic issue for years. Despite visiting many renowned hospitals, there hasn’t been any solution—only advice to maintain a proper diet.
But as an actress, she’s constantly flying around to film. Sometimes, the filming locations are so remote that there’s not even a lunchbox to eat, leaving her to rely on frozen food. How can she properly nurse her stomach like that?
"Bella, what kind of herbal remedy is that?" If it could help her stomach issue, Elaine Vaughn was willing to give it a try.
"It’s very simple, just mix honey with walnuts into a paste. If it’s a cold stomach, it will be effective after a period of consumption," Bella Acker said. "Someone with a long-term stomach problem tried it before and got better."
"Honey mixed with walnuts into a paste, it’s that simple?" Elaine Vaughn initially thought it would require some obscure herbs, but was surprised it was so straightforward.
Bella Acker nodded, about to say more when a stranger carrying a food box walked up, placing it in front of her. "Ms. Acker, these meals were specially prepared for you by our boss. See if they suit your taste." With that, they opened the three-layered luxurious food box, taking out insulated boxes filled with dishes.
Bella Acker was taken aback, "Do you have the wrong person? May I ask who your boss is?"
"Our boss is President Lloyd. He dined with Ms. Acker just yesterday," the assistant smiled. "President Lloyd greatly admires Ms. Acker’s diligence and hopes to invite her for dinner this evening."
Even though she was drunk last night, Bella Acker still had some recollection of certain events. Hearing President Lloyd’s name, her face turned pale.
"Bella, what’s wrong?" Sharon Cheney saw her face change drastically, feeling a bit puzzled, wondering if President Lloyd was the one who took Bella away last night. After all, once President Lloyd left, he didn’t return until the end of the gathering.
Even someone as naive as Bella Acker knew last night’s incident could become an ugly scandal. She forced herself to remain calm and shook her head, "Thank you for President Lloyd’s offer, but I have two night scenes to shoot tonight, so I can’t go."
"President Lloyd said everything could be arranged according to Ms. Acker’s schedule. If Ms. Acker is filming tonight, tomorrow would work too." The assistant said while laying out the six dishes and a soup on a simple folding table.
The six dishes were clearly crafted by a master chef, beautifully presented even in insulated boxes.
Bella Acker looked at them, unsure of what game President Lloyd was playing.
After delivering the food box, the assistant nodded politely before turning to leave.
"Hey, you..." Bella Acker’s words trailed off as the assistant walked away quickly, as if deliberately escaping. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶
Elaine Vaughn glanced at Sharon Cheney, then at Bella Acker, frowning, "What’s President Lloyd from Aurelian Media up to?"
It wasn’t just her puzzled, others in the crew were also looking over, somewhat intrigued.
No flattery comes without a cause; President Lloyd’s intentions seemed obvious. What they were more curious about now was Bella Acker’s stance.
Vivian Norris, sitting not far away, chuckled and said, "President Lloyd always has high standards. Who knew Bella would catch his eye? Her future prospects seem limitless—I should congratulate Bella here in advance."
The words, though meant as congratulations, sounded somewhat grating to Bella Acker’s ears.
Bella Acker frowned, about to respond when someone else chimed in, "Bella hasn’t signed with a company yet. Looks like she’ll be signing with Aurelian Media, right?"
"Wow, Aurelian Media has plenty of resources in the industry. With President Lloyd valuing Bella, she’d surely get loads of opportunities, truly enviable."
The crew’s chatter left Bella Acker with no chance to speak.
