Warm Married Life: Mr. President Loves His Darling Wife-Chapter 111 - 110: Bella’s Cleverness
Farah Garner played the recording, and her own voice came out first.
"Bella Acker, you deliberately fell to frame me just now, didn’t you?"
The sound was recorded very clearly. Farah impatiently fast-forwarded it, and the recording’s progress bar was moved to the end, where only Bella’s voice could be heard saying, "I don’t have that kind of power either," and then there was a period of silence with nothing recorded.
"That’s it?" Farah couldn’t believe it and fiddled with it a couple more times, realizing that the last thing Bella said softly wasn’t recorded, "Damn it! What a piece of junk!"
Frustrated, Farah smashed her phone. She had never suffered such a loss at someone’s hands before, and she couldn’t stand it!
Bella returned just as Sharon Cheney had finished a scene and returned to the resting area, "I saw Farah went to the bathroom too. Did you two run into each other again?"
"Yeah." Bella nodded.
Seeing that she didn’t seem upset, Sharon switched topics, "You’ve got another scene later, better go over your lines again."
Bella didn’t know if Ms. Cheney noticed she had deliberately fallen to frame Farah, but since Ms. Cheney didn’t mention anything, she wasn’t foolish enough to bring it up. So she obediently sat down to review the script, waiting for the next shoot.
Elaine Vaughn walked over and sat next to Sharon, giving her a knowing wink. See? Bella isn’t as simple and easy to bully as you thought.
Sharon glanced back at her, setting down her hot water cup, "Being a little savvy isn’t bad. If someone gets bullied and only knows how to retreat without smartly fighting back, that’s truly a hopeless case."
"You always favor Bella, no matter what she does." Elaine said helplessly, "But I can tell, her intentions aren’t bad, and she genuinely respects you. It’s just her tactics are still a bit immature; she needs more practice."
"One shouldn’t have the intent to harm others, but one must guard against those who do." Sharon said, "Nothing much to practice in such matters. What’s your plan after these few days of shooting?"
"I’m going abroad to shoot a commercial." Elaine shifted the topic, and they started chatting about the advertisement she got.
The morning shoot ended quickly, and the film set staff distributed boxed lunches uniformly.
"Wow? The first day’s boxed lunch is this sumptuous?" Some staff opened them and found two meat dishes, two vegetables, and a soup, clearly packaged from a hotel, much more luxurious compared to other sets.
"How could it not be? This is President Lloyd of Aurelian Media who specially instructed his assistant to send it over, hoping our first day of shooting goes smoothly."
Others immediately understood and remarked on how it was unlikely for a film set’s food to be so luxurious otherwise.
Elaine’s assistant came back with three boxed lunches, "Ms. Cheney, this is yours. Ms. Acker, this is yours. Ms. Flynn, should I still soak the rice in hot water?"
Sharon frowned, "Didn’t I tell you that soaking rice in hot water harms your stomach? Are you still eating that way?"
"I can’t eat it otherwise." Elaine was also helpless.
"Shaw, go buy a porridge with preserved egg and lean meat." Sharon gave her a look and sent the assistant away to buy it.
"Okay." Shaw nodded and went to handle it.
Bella chimed in, "Ms. Flynn, is your stomach unwell? I know a home remedy that’s pretty effective for stomach issues."
