Warm Married Life: Mr. President Loves His Darling Wife-Chapter 117 - 116: Learning the Truth
The Lynch Group holds a high position in the business world, but it doesn’t run any entertainment-related industries, so logically, there shouldn’t be any conflict of interest with Elaine Vaughn’s studio. Then why is he targeting Elaine Vaughn’s studio?
Even Director Ford is puzzled, and even Old Rockwell, who got the inside scoop, can’t figure it out.
Old Rockwell said, "Young Master Lynch didn’t mention the specific reason, but for this kind of thing, he just makes a call and casually says a few words, and there are plenty of people eager to flatter him and handle it for him. I know Elaine Vaughn and Sharon Cheney are filming with your crew, but don’t get involved just because Sharon asked you to. Anyway, this kind of thing is like stirring up a mess; whoever gets involved will only end up in trouble. Well, I have a meeting to attend, so I won’t keep you."
After hanging up, Director Ford put away his phone.
Only then did Sharon Cheney ask, "Did your friend say it’s the young heir of the Lynch Group?"
Director Ford nodded, "That’s what Old Rockwell said."
"Did Old Rockwell mention the reason?"
Director Ford: "No, it seems Old Rockwell doesn’t know either."
Sharon Cheney thought for a moment and said, "I’ll call Elaine right now to give her a heads-up."
"Yeah, ask if she has offended someone related to Jaden Lynch recently," Director Ford advised. "Don’t let her suffer a loss without knowing who’s playing tricks behind her back."
Sharon gave him a look, "Thank you, Old Ford." Saying that, she went to the side to make a call.
Bella Acker saw them talking and wanted to approach, but she was worried about disturbing them, so she just watched from a distance.
After Sharon finished her call and returned, they both went to have dinner and then returned to the hotel. Throughout the whole process, Sharon didn’t mention what exactly had happened. 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢
Bella was anxious but had no way to help.
"Ms. Cheney, you go take a shower and rest for a bit. I’ll go and bring some hot drinks up," Bella suggested after much thought, trying to comfort her this way.
"Bella, no need."
"It’s fine. I’ll just be downstairs at the supermarket and will be back quickly." Bella smiled, took a door card, and left.
She took the elevator to the first floor and happened to run into Farah Garner and Rhonda returning from outside.
Farah gave a cold laugh as she saw her, "Bella Acker, now you know how unlucky it is to help you, right? Let’s see if you’ll be so smug from now on!"
Bella frowned, "What do you mean by that?"
"What do I mean?" Farah’s cold smile intensified, "Bella Acker, you still don’t know that Elaine Vaughn’s studio is about to shut down because of you, do you?"
"What?" Bella was stunned, shock visible in her eyes.
"So, you really didn’t know, huh?" Farah clicked her tongue twice, deliberately taking two steps forward, leaning close to Bella’s ear, and whispered, "Elaine Vaughn offended someone she shouldn’t have because of you, and now it’s not just her; even the artists in her studio are all getting completely blacklisted. Yet, you, the culprit, are still in the dark. It’s ridiculous. But don’t worry, you’re the one who’s going to have bad luck next."
After saying that, Farah brushed past Bella and entered the elevator.
Rhonda gave a slight smile, nodded at Bella as a greeting, and also walked into the elevator.
Farah frowned in dissatisfaction, "Why did you greet her?"
"Don’t hit a smiling face with a fist." Rhonda smiled faintly.
Farah, thinking about how to mess with Bella next, didn’t pay her any more attention.
