Chapter 291: The Tribes inside the Wall

For the Songnu and Sirong tribes Aeryon did not enslave them but instead ask them to join his tribe.

Most of them feel closeness to the people of the Great Steppe and so they joined him willingly.

But the more important reason is because they respect the strong.

Strong in the minds of the tribes of the nomadic people inside the Wall of Yan does not mean simply that you know how to fight.

If that is the case most tribe should actually be ruled by people with great strength and those enthusiastic warriors.

Strength of a chief is not measured on how many enemies they could kill.

It is how many people of his tribe that he could raise, he could save and that he could protect.

And in the eyes of the Songnu and Sirong clans that decided to surrender to Aeryon, they could see that Aeryon could raise so many people, cultivate great warriors, possessing order and discipline that is akin the armies and soldiers of Yan.

To them Aeryon is a great ruler. He enriches himself, his people, his clan , his tribe and his approach is something the tribe inside the Wall of Yan could accept.

The tribe inside the Wall of Yan actually is not that different from the tribes in the great Steppe.

If there is a difference it is that they were domesticated by the people of Yan, humiliated, killed and massacre carelessly by any rulers of yan that intend to achieve some kind of pollical support among the Yan majority.

When Aeryon broke the city of Nurshira, when the tribes of the great Steppe marches south and wreak havoc toward the northern countryside of Yan these tribes feel closeness and grateful.

The rulers of Yan did not mind using the barbarian tribes but when the barbarians tribes ask for their dues, they would be beaten and lied to, schemed upon.

Hence the tribes of Sirong, Songnu, and many others could not trust the people of Yan. But they also did not go to the Great Steppe.

Songnu and Sirong tribes are actually native to Yan. It is just that they roam from one place to another.

During the time of the Seven Kingdoms before Xun dynasty united all of the seven kingdom.

The Songnu and Sirong tribe roams all across the seven kingdoms and they fight in many wars, serving under different kings and masters.

They are great warriors, tough and hardy, and when they are fighting they are like demons possessed.

Yet, because of their nomadic tendencies, when Xun united the Seven Kingdoms, he treats all that is outside of the Walls as his enemies.

It is fine if he attacks only the tribes of the Great Steppe.

But he categorized Songnu and Sirong tribes as outsiders when in fact if they wanted to play it that way, Sirong and Songnu had called the lands of the Seven kingdoms of Xun their lands long before Xun dynasty even existed.

They were killed, massacred, women and children.

But in the books of history of both Xun and Yan, they called it pacifying the barbarians.

In the years that follows, there is some reconciliation effort from the Yan to ease the tension between the barbarian tribes and the Yan people but it always failed.

the reason is simple. The Yan people could not accept that they are equal to those barbarians and believe themselves to be the most civilized civilization in the world and they could not be compared to those animal-like humans

the most harmful is those scholars that even perverted the words of the Great Teacher. Teaching without distinction is forgotten as they discriminate against those that are weaker than them

And now, as the Yan dynasty is about to collapse, the Great Steppe is now undergoing a rejuvenation of talents.

With the rise of Aeryon, there is a butterfly flapping its wings, and the wing created a storm that is now changing the trajectory of fate and destiny.

One stone thrown into a calm lake create ripples that extend and affect the calm lake.

In the original story, there is never such an event where there is multiple alliances between tribes.

There is no overlord that rises in the east.

There is no great chief in the north that make a move toward the south.

There is none of this. Because the great Steppe during the Yellow Turban relabelling did not have any ...to put it in a simple way, danger.

It lacks danger.

And without danger, there is no preparedness.

So, when the princes of Yan started attacking the Great Steppe, The Southern Great Steppe was unprepared and was annihilated by the tens of thousands, the blood of the people of the great Steppe dye the green grass of the vast Steppe, the clouds and the blue sky of the Eternal Father weeps for His children. ƒree𝑤ebnσvel.com

But in this new reality, Aeryon rises.

And with it, heroes and villains rises with him.

There is Dama in the East, showing his dominance, subduing the mountain tribes of the Yindu mountain, wreaking havoc all over the eastern side of the lower South.

On the center of the Southern Great Steppe, there is an old man with great ambition, a viper that ahs been waiting for his opportunity for a decade and when that opportunity come, he did not let it go and he broke out almost instantly.

Relying on his alliance with the Kazan, the Utgard tribe is taking own Rudya tribe, and when the Rudya tribe is assimilated and digested by the Viper, he would surely focus on Kazan tribes and might even uses the influence of the Kazan tribe to rightfully seizes the Kazan tribe lands.

Or he might choose another more direct way to expand his power.

On the west, the Khagai tribe shows its fang, its army rode toward the south, follows Aeryon and shows to the people of the Steppe why the Khagai tribe is one of the strongest tribe in the western border

At the same time, the west become a place of contention of competing powers.

There is Brolgadhr tribe that is now increasing its influence and power in the region, and there is the Cha Ner Ul alliance, an alliance of three tribes that is connected by marriage, proposed by Chagai, another old fox, a great warrior of the old generation that is also competing to be one of the sole power in the west

Many of those who could see the trend, could see that the west of the lower south would be a place of great contention with these forces competing against each other

Heroes and villains rise together to create a powerful era

All of that began from Aeryon rebellion against his own fate and destiny.

And as he fought against his own destiny and fate, his own destiny and fate affected others and changes the fates and destinies of the Great Steppe step by step

But to the Songnu, the Sirong tribe, they did not know all this.

What they do know is that in the Great Steppe, lies their brethren and they heard stories and tales, heroes are rising all over the Steppe.

The Southern Great Steppe is being united. A Kan will appear.

And the Songnu, Sirong and the other barbarians tribes in Yan believe that the one that would rise to the top, is Aeryon, the unofficial Kan of the Lower South and that he would lead them to eternal glory.

there is nothing more than these tribes could ask for.

And then when they joined the Brolgadhr tribe they become more confident of this fact

The fact that even after they joined there is still a lot of meat, a lot for gains, a lot of resources shows how powerful this tribe is.

And some of them are persuaded by Mayeux words to come and join.

Mayeux told them the situation of the Steppe and told them simple words, sending charcoal in the snow is better then when sending it when the winter ends

The tribe elders understood what Mayeux is telling them. This is the chance to make meritorious deeds.

This is the time to carve their name in history and create their own story, immortalize their deeds

If they join when Aeryon truly become unstoppable, then they would not be appreciated as much.

But joining him early would make them integral later.

this is all predicated upon the future which Aeryon would become the True Kan of the South

In other words, these tribe leaders have to bet. And they bet.

And that is not the only reason why Aeryon call is so enchanting to the people of Songnu and Sirong.

Aeryon holds the banner of expelling the Yan people from the land that should belong to the Great Steppe.

Nurshira was not part of the Yan empire in the beginning.

Instead, it was first was a large settlement of the Great Steppe tribes. The name of that tribe is long forgotten and even the name of that settlement is no longer known.

It is said that the Yan people erase that part of the history. No matter how they brag about themselves in their own history., the history of people that they conquered, they erased.

It is only then that they could keep lying

When the Yan empire took the area of that settlement, the Yan people, heartless s a jackal they killed all the people of the Steppe in that area.

The hills runs red, and the blood flows down from the hills like the rushing water during a heavy rain

Those that survive fled to other mountains and other jungles and some of them fled back to the Great Steppe.

That is the history of Nurshira so when Aeryon bring such banner, they would win the support of the Sirong and Songnu tribe.
