Wizard: Starting from the Skill Tree-Chapter 523: Albert
The best way to deal with the Void Insect Race is to eradicate them before they have a chance to grow.
The Florence Continent is so vast that with their limited manpower, it’s definitely impossible to completely clear it out.
Duke even believes that it may not be possible to completely eradicate the Void Insect Race for a long time to come.
Perhaps the Void Insect Race will become a common type of demon here, as attempting to fully eradicate them is exceedingly difficult.
However, as long as the Void Insect Race has not developed to a certain scale, the damage they can cause is limited.
Duke estimates that the Black Sails will likely be tasked with a long-term mission to periodically station themselves on the Florence Continent.
Currently, with the four continents of the Wizard Plane and the Central Islands Region combined, the trend of the Void Insect Race’s development has been basically suppressed.
Especially in the Central Islands Region, it has almost become a prohibited zone for the Void Insect Race.
Not only is there no sign of any Void Insect Race, but even the race itself fears the area greatly, not daring to approach, let alone build nests in the surrounding regions.
This is because it is the seat of the Level 6 Mage, Level 7 Arcane Master Albert, and the Void Insect Race likely encountered a power that terrifies them, leading to this situation.
Yet, although the Void Insect Race has not developed in these areas, the hidden dangers they bring still linger and are escalating.
The largest area on the entire Wizard Plane is the ocean, an expansive and boundless ocean that provides an excellent environment for the Void Insect Race to hide and develop.
Especially after encountering strong resistance on various continents, the mother nests in different places quickly realized they should develop in the sea and not on land. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
The Void Insect Race relies on their extremely rich bloodline treasure vault that allows them to hatch insect race members adapted to most regions of the Endless Plane.
Several Level 3 Nests have already been encountered in the ocean, and the rapid appearance of these nests is a testament to how smoothly they are developing.
The Wizard Council naturally wants to swiftly eradicate these Void Insect Races, but they face significant resistance from the Sea Race.
The Sea Race is extremely resistant to Wizards entering the sea, especially their core sea areas.
Some Sea Race members even believe that the Void Insect Race was created by Wizards just as an excuse to enter the Sea Race’s territory.
They harbor inherent hatred, prejudice, and fear towards Wizards, making it difficult for the Wizard Council’s purge operations to venture into the sea.
The Sea Race has limited manpower and capacity, and in fact, they can’t oversee all sea areas, leading to many regions where Void Insect Races are recklessly developing and expanding their scale.
In reality, the Sea Race is under tremendous pressure, for whenever a Level 3 Nest appears, countless Sea Race Warriors end up staining the seas with blood.
A Level 3 Nest can infinitely hatch Level 3 Insect Race members as long as there are enough resources.
No one dares underestimate such power, and it is certainly not easy to deal with.
The Sea Race currently refuses Wizard assistance, thinking Wizards have ulterior motives, yet they are overwhelmed in dealing with the continuously emerging Void Insect Races.
Continuing like this, not only will the Sea Race get bogged down, but it will also provide an excellent growth space for the Void Insect Race, planting a huge hidden danger for the entire Wizard Plane.
...
Central Islands Region.
This place does not present a bustling and noisy scene; instead, it exudes a sense of order, tranquility, and unfathomable power.
The ambient light from the Floating City suspended in the sky casts a gentle glow, and countless towers, like silent giants, stand among the star-studded islands. The most magnificent one, as if bridging heaven and sea, is the seat of the Wizard Council and Albert’s residence, the Six-Ring Tower.
This Floating City is called Sky City, the most renowned city in the entire Wizard Plane.
At the top of the tower, in a spacious and simple quiet chamber, Albert stands in front of a large crystal window, gazing out at the seemingly calm and boundless sea.
He wears a gray linen robe, and his silhouette seems somewhat thin, yet he is the anchor of stability for the entire Central Islands and even the entire Wizard Plane.
Behind him, several figures stand silently; their auras are like a deep sea, raging flames, or shadowy specters, and each is a heavyweight whose mere presence could shake a realm.
Yet at this moment, behind this old man, they withheld all their sharpness, like the most respectful students.
"The situation in the sea is worse than we anticipated." Albert’s voice is calm, with no discernible joy or anger, but it makes the expressions of the people behind him grow more serious. "Several newly discovered sites have been confirmed to be Level 3 Nests. The Sea Race... they are struggling, suffering significant losses."
A Witch dressed in a deep blue robe with her hair in a high bun spoke softly, her voice echoing like waves: "Lord, the Sea Race still maintains a strong stance, refusing our intervention. Should we..."
Albert slowly turned around, his clear eyes sweeping over the group. He gently waved his hand to interrupt her words.
"Barriers and suspicion are not built in a day. Forceful intervention will only backfire and may even spark another war, which is not beneficial for the entire Plane."
He looked at a Warlock whose aura was as stable as a mountain: "In my name, formally notify the Sea Race Royal Family. Inform them that I wish to have a face-to-face talk with their royal family about working together to address the threat of the Void Insect Race."
The order was communicated succinctly, without rousing speeches or harsh threats. The invitation for the meeting reached the hands of the Sea Race Royal Family.
Days later, upon receiving the Sea Race Royal Family’s agreement to the meeting, Albert brought no entourage, arriving like a simple elderly friend. One step out of the Six-Ring Tower, and his figure blended with the air.
In the next moment, he appeared thousands of miles away, at the entrance of the magnificent royal court, located in the deepest part of the ocean and shrouded by a vast energy shield.
Albert stood there quietly like an ordinary old man, waiting for the host’s reception.
When the Sea Race guards, alongside their nervousness and slight curiosity, led this plainly dressed human elder along the colorful underwater corridors to the royal assembly hall built from huge white corals, every Sea Race member who saw him struggled to associate this kindly elder with the legendary strongest entity of the Plane.
He walked slowly, his gaze peacefully admiring the distinctly sea-bottom scenery along the way, as if he truly was just an elder visiting.
It was not until he entered the solemnly tense hall, until the Sea Emperor and all the elders and ministers focused their gaze on him, that he slightly nodded and revealed a gentle smile.
