You Think I Won't Talk?-Chapter 670
He knew well where he could light a candle, yet separating from the woman was something he refused to do. Zeleskiaz doubted... but later, he intertwined his hands with hers. Moving with her as she followed and only releasing her to light the candle.
She observed curiously and blinked innocently once he turned to illuminate her.
"..."
Clearly, her rosy cheeks, milky skin and long strands seemed to change the chambers he only came for sleep into an idyll. Her eyes of soft anthracite, reflected the light of the flame, making it warmer... yet her gown was still dishevelled, even though she tried to fix it earlier.
Leaving the candle aside he gently fixed the cloth she did not mind. Resting his hands over her shoulders to apologise again.
"I am sorry if my actions surprised you... I was not in my right mind, my lady."
"It’s fine... I was surprised but... I was not against it either."
"... Haaah, my lady do not tempt me..."
"Hahaha~ but it is true. I wasn’t~" — She enjoyed his fluster and taking a moment to consider, Marianne held onto his arms as well. — "Late it is... it might be best for me to return soon."
"..." — His stare said it all. The reluctance and sadness she felt at leaving were visible in her dark violet eyes. Nonetheless, such intensity could only come out impulsively. Stunning her with a voracious graze she returned as passionately.
*Smoo~ch*
"Nh~ fuh... mm~"
"Huff... *licks* before you leave..." — He gasped with lovely hues. Enthralled by the soft gasps she fought against. — "Do leave a mark on me..."
"Hf... what...?"
"Bite my lip... make it hurt and bleed, Marianne..." — Saying her name, both shivered delighted to hear it and say it. — "Do it so... *smooch*... strongly... *smooch*... * bites*... similarly so tomorrow I will know this wasn’t a dream..."
The request was harder to comply with than expected. Marianne’s gentleness hated the thought of hurting him, yet as she tried, Zeleskiaz’s heart danced elated. It took her long enough for him to enjoy her trouble and feel the lips of the woman vastly against his as he held her slightly up. Distracting her so that true kisses could be earned in the process. But finally, he tasted a light sense of his own blood, licking the flesh satisfied by the love placed in the requested wound.
"Now it’s done..." — He smiled making some fun of the concerned lady.
Zeleskiaz was shown the passage, smirking at the fact that it was close to the window he uses every day to peek at her balcony. Time to say goodbye came yet differently to the last few weeks... no sad awkwardness was there to make them uncomfortable but instead it was the awkward reluctance to let go that came back to them.
"May I use this passage tomorrow morning...?"
"I will ask the fairies how it works, first."
"Alright... Rest well, my lady."
"You too, my prince." — She said as she stepped into the passage he was guarding attractively. Stopping at the first step to look back at the handsome prince. — "Your highness..."
"Yes, my lady?"
"... Don’t make me wait long to hear it..." — Marianne told him as a sign that it was right to do it. Lowering her face embarrassed to admit she had a reply already. — "Otherwise... how can I resist the need to say it as well, my prince?"
"..."
"Good night, Zeleskiaz."
None of them... could truly rest that night.
*******
*Bang!*
"Wake up."
"Huh?! Why-what-who. What is happening???"
"I’m asking for her hand tomorrow. I need to prepare everything."
"... you what??? Whose hand???"
"Haaa... son do you know what time it is?... since when do you like intruding into your parents’ chambers like this..." — The Empress said, much more composed than her confused spouse. — "... Wait, did you say you will officially ask for her hand in marriage?"
"Yes."
"?! Does that mean, Lady Marianne feels the same for my son?!"
"Yes, I believe so."
"I still don’t understand what’s going on, Ingrid dear..."
"Wait a moment, dear, I am talking with our child." — Pushing Francois’ face away, Ingrid paid attention to the matter at hand. — "What do you mean you believe so? Did you tell her about your intentions?? Did you confess your love??"
"She knows my intentions, I have yet to tell my love directly, yet I believe her words ’don’t make me wait long to hear it’ mean I shouldn’t be slow anymore."
"Oh, lords! Tell me all about it!! Francois wake up, darling!!"
"Ngh... I’m awake, honey..."
"There is no time to tell details. I need to make sure we get engaged tomorrow."
"... excuse me? No time for details? Zeleskiaz Reynold Di Frotschter get back here and tell your mother all about it!"
"... Empress it is truly not—"
"Tell me all of it!"
"... It is embarrassing to tell this to you. It is not something a son should share with a mother." — Cold as he usually showed himself to his parents, Zeleskiaz looked away shyly about it for there were matters he should not tell about the meeting with his loved one and, thankfully... the mother understood the meaning.
"!!! Oh! Oh, I see!! I understand, fufufu~ Marianne will be best at telling it all to me~! It does not matter son. I will ask her instead. Rest assured... Good lords! Francois! Wake up I said! *slap* Our son needs our help!!"
"But! Why—?! Ingrid why slap me that hard! I said I am awake!"
"Listen well, Francois, Zeleskiaz says he can get engaged tomorrow. Do you know how difficult that task was to fulfil for me when Lady Marianne was not around? No, you do not! Because you were too busy making a blind eye playing a good Emperor! Wake up and at least make the order that everyone is to obey my every order from right now no matter what!"
"Uh... are you alright Ingrid, dear...? It is too dark to be doing that..."
"Will you do it... honey?" — Changing her sound, she asked, changing her husband’s ways as well.
"I will."
"Then, I am alright. Thank you. You may go back to sleep now." — Smiling widely the Empress went back to being elegant although the spouse and the son had already seen the frightening drive of the woman. — "Alright, dear son. Tell me how you would like to proceed? I believe we could use the greenhouse and decorate it so it gives a lovesome but heavenly ambience to it... or maybe the main entrance could be arranged too... the temple seems like a little too much, that should be used solely for the wedding..."
"Er... I think she should be surrounded by petals..."
"Like a carpet? That would be lovely yes~ what else?"
"Um..."
"Have you not thought about it?"
"I have. However, I will do both at once so..." — Ingrid as she heard the ignorant son go back into reason. Stopping their pace and holding him from taking another step. — "Perhaps it should be done differently... I did hope to do it separately but she said not to make her wait."
