You Will Only Be Mine-Chapter 468: Processed
Looking back at her, I saw her already changed in her tracksuit, glaring at me with the intent to kill. I know we are not the only ones in a house anymore, Natsumi-san, but that also means you can’t just barge in like this. I do have a feeling that if I did say that, it won’t turn out good for my cranium, so I moved away from my comfortable, cold pillow and sat up in the bed. I still have no idea why she is here.
"What time is it?" I asked her, rubbing my eyes.
"Five," she said and looked at her blankly. Go to sleep, woman. Please, you work too hard.
"Hope no one finds you sleeping in the teacher’s office," I said, getting out of bed.
"Even if they found out there is nothing they can do about it. They know that very well," she said, and I started to pray for the lives of the poor souls who had to deal with her. "What did you just think?"
"Nothing!" I said, and it seems like this little back and forth between us had woken Ai up. She rubbed her eyes and looked at us, confused by what was going on. Still in a trance, she raised her hands, leaning towards me, and I knew what that meant. Though I am scared that if I went in to hug her, it might be my last moment alive on this planet.
"Good, both of you get ready for training in fifteen minutes," she said before walking out of the room. You could have told us this last night.
"Kazu-kun..." Ai muttered my name groggily, and I moved over to her, and right as I got in range, she grabbed me with inhuman strength, putting me in the strongest hug ever. She snuggled her cheek against mine and giggled happily, her voice getting softer with each one. She is falling asleep again.
"Ai," I called her name softly. "We have to wake up."
"I don’t wanna..." she whined, which I found absolutely adorable. God, I want to pamper her so much.
"I know, but sadly, Natsumi-san is the one telling us to get ready in fifteen minutes," I said, and she whined some more, pressing herself more against me.
"I want to cuddle with you for at least thirty minutes before I can wake up," she whined. "I need my daily dose of Kazu-kun." God, she is adorable.
"Fourteen minutes left!" Natsumi-san yelled from downstairs, bringing us back to our world, and we looked at each other, thinking the same thing. Maybe the cuddles can wait for later.
We rushed to different bathrooms to quickly freshen up and brush our teeth, and came out just as quickly. We didn’t really have any track suits, so we wore one of my t-shirts and put on the first sweatpants we found before rushing downstairs. Natsumi-san stood at the front door tapping her feet, already ready to leave.
"Why is she wearing your t-shirt?" she asked me.
"Don’t ask, you will not like the answer," I said, and she decided not to inquire further on that matter.
"What about the blood?" she asked, raising her eyebrow. "Why are you not going feral for blood like you did for the past few days?"
"Let’s say I skipped training with Ethan this time," I said, but it looked like it wasn’t enough to fully explain anything. "I changed from Ethan to The lord of the Night since I didn’t want to train, and let’s just say I prefer Ethan a lot more."
"You can do that?" she asked, and I nodded in response. "I’m not even going to question how. Best ask Ama about it."
"I mean, she did mention that I had memories of not just one but two people stored somewhere in my head. One was Ethan, and the other..." I didn’t need to finish the sentence for her to understand. "Though I doubt it is just memories anymore. At least, The lord of T- Sarah, I think she is different. Why is her title so long?"
"Okay, continue your story on the run," she said and opened the door, stepping out.
We followed suit, but I was grabbed by Ai. Looking at her, I could clearly see an upset look on her face. "You dreamt of another woman?"
"That is not what you think!" I immediately rebutted. "If anything, I prefer not ever talking to her. Everything about her is so suffocating, it felt more like a nightmare even talking to her for a bit. The moment I woke up, I hugged you so tight because I needed you more than anything. It is not what you think, Ai."
"Okay, I believe you," she said, smiling at me the next moment. Her sudden changes of expression scare me a little. The power of a girlfriend, I guess. "After all, all Kazu-kun needs is me, and- "
"If you do not get out of the house the next moment, I will not hold back," Natsumi-san said from outside the house, and we immediately rushed out. "You two don’t ever see the time or place, do you?"
"Sorry..." we both apologized.
She locked the house before stepping out of the main gate and started running. We didn’t say anything and started to run after her. Wait, isn’t she running a little too fast for human speed? What if someone sees us? I know it is very close to dawn, so we won’t have to worry about vampires, but if someone finds her running like this, won’t that be a problem?
"Wait, Natsumi-san. You are running too fast, it’s dangerous," I said, and she didn’t reply. "Hello? Ode to Natsu- "
"You think I am an idiot, kid?" she said, not stopping one bit. "This entire area only houses hunters. Why else do you think I was always comfortable leaving for work and letting you be alone in the house when you were little? Or let you live all by yourself away from home when I knew your blood was special."
"Huh?" I looked at her, dumbfounded by this newly acquired information. "Wait, so you mean even the old grandmas who were so nice to me, and my landlady..."
"Veteran vampire hunters, even at their age, they are someone to take lightly," she explained, and I turned around to look at Ai, who looked more embarrassed than anything.
"So that means when I used to break in..." she muttered to herself. Yes, Ai. Looks like they knew everything.
Natsumi-san then decided to speed up and start running at the speed of motor vehicles. Okay, this is getting absurd. How can a human even keep running that fast? And why am I starting to have problems catching up to her? No, wait, too fast. This isn’t going to work. I started to breathe harder; my heart was beating a lot faster. I have been in fights before, but this was a different beast. Any more, and I feel like my muscles will cramp.
"Though our objective is to finish the job as quickly as possible. We all know fights can drag out quite a bit. Then it only turns into a game of who gets exhausted first," she said in a louder voice since she was increasing the gap between us. "Your stamina needs work, too. I noticed in your fights. You try to go for quick kills and have your enemy incapacitated right away, but you don’t think much further than that. Your body isn’t able to keep up with long drawn battles."
"Maybe I have just been that strong," I said, joking a little.
"Want to try out with me?" she said, and I felt a shudder go down my body. No, I don’t feel suicidal today.
I looked at Ai and saw her, though not able to keep up with the speed as much as I could, but she looked like she hadn’t broken even a sweat. She does have a lot more experience fighting others than I, so I can only guess that her stamina is much better than mine. I am jealous, honestly. Well, no point in being jealous. Just have to put my all in it.

I lay on the ground catching my breath. My muscles were so tired I’m pretty sure I cramped a hundred times some kilometres away. I started feeling dizzy, and something was building up in my stomach. No, I am not going to vomit. Absolutely no way. I would rather die than vomit at a time like this. Those two are monsters. I thought I had gotten better than Ai by the results of our previous sparring match, but I think I have been severely wrong. I either got lucky that I was able to know what Ai was about to do and stop her, but if it had dragged out. I’m sure to have lost.
"We don’t have time for this. Get up," Natsumi-san said, kicking me lightly on the arm. "This is useless. Ai, give him your blood. Both of you will be sparring me after this." 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
