Zombie Apocalypse: Creation-Chapter 738: Catching Up and Resolution
"I’m about to have a new sister, right?" Lily questioned, interrupting Xiaoyun before he could finish.
"Yes... I’m sorry."
"What are you saying sorry for?"
As Lily continued to look back at him with an innocent look, he only felt more guilty inside his heart.
"I’m not sure if you’re willing to accept someone going before you when you’re still... waiting for me."
Xiaoyun’s answer finally cleared up the confusion between them. But rather than showing frustration, she only walked up and hugged him.
"Y-You aren’t mad?"
"Why would I be mad? Brother Xiaoyun, as long as you have a place for me in your heart, I’m happy with it."
"Lily..."
"Hey! Is anyone home? Can someone open the door for me? I don’t have hands to open the door!"
The loud voice from the outside instantly snapped them back to reality. Her face blushed red as she separated from Xiaoyun’s arm.
"I’m coming, sister Tianci!"
---
"Tianci, where’s the other Tianci?"
Leyan curiously asked as they all sat at the dining table, eating the food except for Tianci, who was just sitting there with an empty bowl.
"She’s a little tired from all the work today. Xiaoyun, can I have my meal right now?"
"Not now. Can you wait until I’m done eating?"
Tianci didn’t hurry him any further as she silently watched everyone eat their food, with no one speaking up a single bit.
"Why are you all so quiet?"
"Ever heard of the saying? When eating, do not converse. When in bed, do not speak."
As Yuqi responded to Tianci’s question, everyone continued to eat in silence. She could feel the tense atmosphere at this point.
"Xiaoyun, what happened while I was gone?" Tianci curiously asked, unable to endure the awkwardness any longer.
"All thanks to your funny prank... They are just getting over it."
"What prank? Getting over what?"
Before Xiaoyun even spoke up, Tianci opened her mouth once again as if she understood what Xiaoyun was trying to imply.
"Oh, that. You told them about it already?"
"I did. But that’s not the only thing... Houqin is going to be my girlfriend from now on as well." Xiaoyun responded, his voice getting quieter and quieter.
"Really? You all agreed to this?"
"Hmph!"
As Tianci looked around, not a single one of them looked happy at all, except Lily, whose face looked a little confused once again.
"What were you thinking?" Tianci quietly questioned back.
"Everything was fine until they went into the baby’s room together and you came back home."
"Ahem, Lily, Tianci, can you two come over to the backyard for a second?"
Leyan’s sudden request made them a little confused, but they didn’t question it as they quickly got out of their seat before following her out of the kitchen.
"What are you looking at?" Nami questioned out loud.
"N-Nothing."
Xiaoyun quickly shifted his eyes back to the food. His mind was more confused than ever, as he could swear they were completely different a few minutes ago.
Something had caused them to flip—something between them getting into the guest room together and Lily opening the door for Tianci.
"What the hell did Yuqi manage to pull off?" Xiaoyun wondered in his head as he rapidly ate down as much food as possible.
After eating for a bit, Leyan finally came back to the kitchen table. Now, both of the girls’ faces looked just as mad and grumpy as everyone else’s.
"What the..."
---
As dinner quickly flew by, Xiaoyun’s wives were all seated on the sofa, playing with their babies or watching TV.
None of them sat near him. Instead, they all sat as far away as possible, leaving him alone by himself.
"Today, the news headlines the grand opening of the recycling plants. It has been estimated to be the first industry to break the trillion credit mark."
"What do you all want from me? Is there something I can do that changes your guys’ views?" Xiaoyun questioned.
"Nothing. You’re fine," Yueyue answered.
Seeing all of them giving him a cold treatment, Xiaoyun finally had enough as he got up from the sofa and turned off the TV.
"Hey, what’s that for?" Yuqi questioned as the TV anchor was just about to talk about tomorrow’s weather.
"All of you had been just sitting here and not talking to me at all. Do all of you guys just disagree with Houqin that much?"
"Disagree? When did we say we’re disagreeing with her?" Leyan asked, her face seemingly smirking a little.
"Then what else can it be?"
"We’re just unhappy because someone hasn’t ’fed’ any of us for the past week. Somebody seems to have liked the new and loathed the old."
"You all for real right now? That’s the reason why I had been getting a cold treatment for half of the evening?"
"Mhm... Unlike a certain someone who has been showered with a certain individual’s bodily fluid."
As soon as Leyan said it out loud, Xiaoyun’s face immediately flushed in embarrassment before he looked over to Wuli with a cold stare.
"What are you looking at me for? I-I’m only telling them what I know of."
Wuli’s comment was met with no answer as he turned back around to the TV, turning it on before speaking up again.
"Do you all want it that badly? It had only been less than a week, and you all can’t get a hold of yourselves?"
"I’m starting to get pimples on my face already..." Nami quietly murmured as she touched her own face.
"Okay, fine. Maybe I had been a little too busy for the past few days. I’ll make up for it over the weekend."
"We want it now," Yuqi demanded as she began to scooch closer towards where Xiaoyun was sitting.
"I still have to wake up early tomorrow to have a lot of work to do. I can’t—"
"It’s going to be quick. We just have to do it once each." Leyan shyly murmured as she looked back down towards her baby.
"I-I’ll g-go put the babies away."
As Lily tried to get up from her seat, Nami suddenly pulled her back down to signal her to remain seated.
"No need. We can put the babies away ourselves."
One by one, they got up from the sofa and headed towards the baby’s room as the five of them remained seated with no babies in hand.
"You two should probably just take a rest," Xiaoyun suggested, wanting to lighten the load for himself.
"We want to do it too..."
Seeing both Kate and Anna shyly looking down at their lap, Xiaoyun didn’t try to persuade them any further.
"Tianci, you... nevermind."
Xiaoyun didn’t even bother with her, as she still hasn’t had her single meal for the past few days, when she usually needs it almost every day.
"Honey, we’re back."
As Leyan quickly walked up to his lap with open arms, Xiaoyun let out a small sigh inside his head as he mentally prepared himself.
---
When Xiaoyun rubbed his eyes and looked toward the clock, it was already six o’clock the next day.
"Shit. Hey Tianci, get up."
"Hm?"
As she revealed her normal pupil underneath, it soon widened in shock for a second before instantly jumping out of his lap.
"W-What d-did you do to m-me last night?"
"You didn’t feel anything at all last night?" Xiaoyun curiously asked.
"N-No. I was too tired, and I let her take control for a bit... Ouch."
A sharp pain instantly shook Tianci a little, followed by flashes of memory that began flooding inside her head.
"How could she? This is d-disgusting!"
Tianci almost falls off the bed as she tries to get up, only saved by Xiaoyun’s fast reaction as he holds onto her hand.
"It wasn’t that bad... Ahem, y-you’ll get used to it. Not like this was your first time doing that."
Xiaoyun’s answer didn’t comfort her in the slightest, but it was enough to keep her silent as she slowly sat back down on the bed.
"Hm? Is it already the morning?"
As Leyan slowly sat up in bed, her face didn’t look remotely tired at all. Instead, it looked to be full of energy.
"Yeah, it’s the morning... I’m going back to bed. Goodnight."
Xiaoyun didn’t even bother grabbing the blanket as he collapsed onto the bed, his mind unable to resist the urge to go to sleep.
"Nami, get up."
"Let me sleep for a bit longer."
Seeing Nami unwilling to get up from the bed, Leyan shook her arms again as she took off the small blanket covering her.
"Wake up. You told me yesterday to wake you up early. You said you need to go meet with Liuqian today."
"Fine fine..."
As Nami slowly sat up in bed, her face looked opposite. She was more tired than a horse that had run for several days nonstop.
"Yuqi, you too. Get up... You told me you have an early meeting today with the head of agriculture."
"Hm... I’ll just cancel it until the evening."
Leyan didn’t try to wake her up any further as she looked even more tired than Nami. Her legs could barely close together as they were widely spread apart.
"Ouch."
Nami almost falls right on her face as she trips over Shuli’s body, who barely reacts to it as she continues to remain asleep.
