Zombie Apocalypse: I Have Safe Zone Superpower-Chapter 532: Future
He needed to touch her, to claim her, to bury himself inside her.
She smiled, a wicked, beautiful thing, and shook her head.
She stayed just out of reach, continuing her dance, letting him look his fill, letting the helpless, desperate want build inside him until he thought he’d go mad.
"Please," he begged, his pride gone, consumed by need.
At the broken sound, she finally inched closer.
She climbed onto the bed, straddling his hips, her heat hovering just above his aching cock.
She leaned down, her pink eyes locking with his blue ones. "One last time," she breathed, her lips a hair’s breadth from his. "Who is my soulmate?"
He looked up at her, this fierce, beautiful woman who held his pleasure and his heart in her hands.
"It’s me," he whispered, the words filled with a reverence that shook him. "I am. I’m yours."
Satisfaction bloomed across her face. She closed the distance, capturing his mouth in a searing kiss.
It was the final straw. The raw, primal need she had stoked in him finally snapped the last thread of his control.
With a roar that came from deep inside him, Silas tensed every muscle in his arms and pulled.
The handcuff chains, stressed beyond their limit, snapped with a sharp ping, the metal links flying.
His hands were free.
Ivy gasped against his mouth, her eyes flying open in shock. But he gave her no time to react.
His freed hands came up, one tangling in her pink hair, the other gripping her hip with force, and he kissed her wildly.
After everything was over, Silas and Ivy lay side by side on the wide bed, their breathing slowly evening out in the quiet of the room.
Ivy turned her head and looked at Silas. His face was brimming with unrestrained joy, the kind that softened his sharp features and made him look younger, almost boyish.
She could not help but slide closer and wrap an arm around his waist, pressing herself against him in a lazy side hug.
Silas responded immediately, his arms circling her as if it were the most natural thing in the world. He lowered his head and pressed a gentle kiss against her hair.
"Thank you."
Ivy let out a soft chuckle, her fingers tracing absent-minded circles against his chest. "What’s there to thank me for?"
Silas shook his head lightly, his chin brushing against her crown.
"Maybe I was thinking too much. Maybe I kept relating everything to my own insecurities and overcomplicating it inside my head."
Ivy’s lips curved upward again.
"When I was insecure, you were the one who refused to leave. Now that you’re the one feeling insecure, I’ll refuse to leave, too. It’s only fair, isn’t it?"
She tilted her head to look at him properly, her eyes shining with sincerity. "After all, this chance we’ve been given is very precious."
It was only after getting into a relationship with Silas that Ivy truly realized how precious life could be.
’If I had continued pushing him away back then, would I ever have been this happy?’
The thought made her chest tighten. She might have continued living, but she would never have felt this warmth, this quiet contentment that settled deep in her bones.
Now she was genuinely happy. She had a husband. She had her family.
What more could she possibly ask for from this life?
This rebirth that had been granted to her felt like a fragile, priceless gift wrapped in thin glass.
Silas, hearing her words, tightened his embrace as if afraid she might slip away.
His voice lowered slightly. "I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have said Jade’s name at that time."
The moment those words left his mouth, Ivy’s expression darkened.
The warmth in her eyes vanished, replaced by a flicker of fury.
She remembered it clearly, the way that name had fallen from his lips so casually.
A wave of irritation washed over her.
She slapped his arm lightly, though there was clear warning in her gaze.
"Next time, if you dare to say that name again, I will ignore you forever. Don’t test me."
Silas let out an awkward laugh, scratching the back of his head. "No, no. I won’t say that guy’s name ever again. I promise."
Ivy snuggled closer, her anger dissipating as quickly as it had flared.
"Instead of thinking about him, we should think about our future children."
At those words, Silas’s smile returned, but it carried a trace of hesitation.
He nodded slowly. "It would be better if we had children much later. Actually... it might even be best if we adopt instead of raising one ourselves."
Ivy lifted her head immediately, her brows knitting together. "Why? Don’t you want a child of your own?"
Silas chuckled softly. "That’s not what I mean. Of course, I want one. It’s just that... I want to spend more time with my wife first."
Ivy slapped his arm again, though this time her cheeks were tinged with pink. "You really know how to twist your words."
"I’m serious," he replied, his tone growing calmer.
"We already missed so much time in our previous lifetime. We were never truly together back then. In this life, we’ve barely spent six months properly by each other’s side. That’s too little for me to be ready to share you with someone else."
His voice did not sound overtly sad, yet there was an unmistakable sorrow hidden beneath it.
Ivy fell silent. ’He’s right. We wasted so many years because of my stupidity.’ Guilt pricked at her heart like a thin needle.
But she shook her head. There was no point lamenting over lost years. Instead of grieving, they should create more memories.
She wrapped her arms around him firmly. "Fine. Then no children until you’re ready."
Silas nodded, relief flickering across his face.
Ivy, now smiling mischievously, asked, "So when will you be ready?"
Silas pretended to think deeply, tapping his chin. "At least a hundred years."
Ivy’s eyes widened in disbelief.
