Chapter 71: Chapter 71: Haikos Empire Capital

VOLUME 2

The sky was already dark, yet in the streets of Haikos Empire’s Capital it was as bustling as daylight.

Men and women, either clothed in Victorian Eastern dressing and a few with separate armor plates that protected their vitals, holding a sword, strapped shield against their backs, or colored Mystic Robes, walked through the wide streets.

Many had different hair colors, some thick and others light, there were even a few with stripping hair colors, it was hard to recognize which element they were attributed with.

Buildings about four story to six story aligned on each side of the wide street.

Illuminating the streets were tall street lamps, with swirling butterflies in their lantern. There were light crystals embedded in the walls too.

Apart from Finn and Albus the Envoy, everyone including the Ava were stunned by this scene. Especially Andrew who thought that this was crazy. Such scenes only existed in fantasy.

The arrival of Andrew and co didn’t attract the least bit of attention, apart from a few who glanced at Albus before walking their way.

... Well,apart from someone.

Silver hair with thick brows, downing a contrasting black Mystic Robe, his presence was particularly eye-catching, yet seemingly avoided by the passersby.

The Envoy’s eyes widened slightly in surprise as he noticed the approaching man, then he bowed silently without uttering a word.

And sure enough, every other person were ignored, the man focused on Ava, observing her with a contented look, before giving the rest a casual glance- But then, his pupils seemed to constrict, almost revealing it’s true color... the man’s gaze then paused on Andrew with cold countenance. Even Finn who bowed at this point with a fully subservient and respectful look was ignored.

"A.." the slight yelp that was supposed to escape the girl’s mouth was hindered by her as she bit her tongue. Whilst her face flushed red at the pain, she seemed to have been desperately hoping for something like that, yet it still came as s surprise with how bold he was.

Andrew grinned.

During the time it took to exit the spanning tunnel like entrance, Freya’s advances didn’t go unnoticed by him. He glanced at the girl who simply hated him for his look, and his eyes turned to that of bewilderment and interest.

It turned out despite being young, the girl was a decisive and cunning as a witch.

After betraying Chay for Finn, and her secret being exposed, Finn no longer gave her a glance. The rest of the youths already looked acquainted with Chay, and even if they weren’t, there was doubt if they could pass the trial. She set her eyes on him, a bastard child of a Top Aristocrat House. There was doubt if he would be able to have a high standing in such place.. But he was still better than Chay.

Though she didn’t have a good impression on this youth in particular, he seemed to be easy going.

Then risking her pride and all, she made advances at him admist the group.

And just when they exited, marvelling at the fantasical scene before them.

Andrew slipped his hand backward and grabbed her ass cheeks, as if that wasn’t enough while she was yet to react. He further slipped downward beneath her dress, raising it from behind he slipped his palm and grabbed her ass for real. Her white panties showed no hindrance to his charge at all as he tore it off. Pressing her butt once more before exiting.

Sure enough the stern eyes of the man donning black Mystic Robe similar to the Envoy’s but with matured sophistication and no insignia on it, noticed this...

Quite unexpected, as he folded Freya’s white pantie in his hand while giving her as smirk, the thrilling thought of getting to fuck someone who cheaply offered herself to him after showing her hate for him, hitting him on another level. He had no thoughts of adding her to his Harem though, he only collected her pants so he could find her later by letting his intuitive sense take over...

’ehhn??’ quite surprised, Andrew wiped the smirk off his face, meeting the man’s gazed like a theif that had been caught in the act.

’Fuck’

The man’s gaze finally shifted.

"Unfortunately we’ll have to depart here..." turning towards Andrew and Ava, the Envoy said, in voice composed. Not like they shared any attachment or something.

"Hmmm" the man nodded, he observed Finn froze under his gaze for a seconds before turning back. He said no words, but his actions alone passed on the message that they should follow him. Neither, Andrew or Ava were dumb not to understand this.

And they followed, leaving the other youths whose eyes shimmered with complex emotion as they watched them follow the man towards the less bustling street by the left with guards City in gold blue attire and armor stationed heavily, each of the guards were at least Peak of Mystic Rank.

From the look of things, the positions Andrew and Ava held in the Faust Dragondale House was quite more than they imagined. In fact neither Finn or Albus had expected a Sky Mystic to welcome them.

Well, apart from Freya whose eyes glinted with joy oblivious to the rest.

...

Separating from the group which they had journeyed with for almost a whole day, the silver haired man led them towards a grand structured hall.

There were similar halls too aligned in the same pattern across the wide road, with their back structured to the City’s defensive wall, but with different crests embedded above it.

In the form of a lozenge, there was an atrocious looking monster with its wing spread and something pierced through its throat at the center.

This was Faust’s Dragondale Crest.

Andrew’s eyes shimmered as he admired this, pausing for a moment behind the silver haired man.

Who would have expected that he would be related to such an Op family after reincarnating.

Ava had similar eyes as well, but restrained. She kept on walking behind the man. Whilst Andrew stood to admire the crest before running to catch up.

The man minutely stopped for a slight moment but continued with his light composed steps.

There was no one in view at the entrance, but Andrew could sense many hidden stares focused on them as they stepped into the hall.

"Greetings Sir Remus" just as they heard the voice, a fit looking man albeit with less intimidating appearance than the man they followed, came in to view. He was wearing a simple ash gray Mystic Robe with unremarkable facial features. Yet what slightly intrigued Andrew was that the man looked older than the person he was calling sir.

"Hmmm" giving the same cold response, the silver haired man whose named he just discovered to be Sir Remus, nodded at the man behind the large spacious receptionist counter.

"It’s ready, these are your tokens." the older man behind the counter said as two glowing yellow tokens floated towards them with white shim around them.

’Telekinesis’ Andrew was quick to guess as he grabbed the token.

This was probably a limited ability, unlike Amelia’s Psychic Talent.

There was nothing special about the token, it was just a single piece of yellow glowing jade, or at least it looked like it. According to his predessor there was no jade in this world

"You’ll have your name encrypted on it after you’ve been signed to the family registry."

It wasn’t the man at the counter who explained this, Andrew raised his head to see the silver haired man was now facing them, having chosen to enlighten them on the matter of the token.

Where he was standing was suddenly illuminated by a gold brilliance, flashing as intricate patterns and lines appeared on the floor.

"Come" the man strictly said while flashing a red token and the next instant, after Andrew and Ava stepped into the range of the golden brilliance, they all disappeared. Leaving the man at the counter to sigh for a moment before resuming to what he had been doing before.

...

Bu dum! Bu dum! Bu dum!...

The heavy sound of reverberating heart beat eclipsed the room in a strong thunderous feeling.

... Cracks! The cracking sounds bones followed.

After that, the room was filled with quelling silence.

"He’s here?" a thick cool voice suddenly came from the darkness in the room.

Spark! The room was suddenly illuminated in a crimson red glow as the temperature began to rapidly rise up.

Swoosh... there was a sound of muffled whoosh and everywhere returned to darkness.

There was no presence in the room again.
