The demi human that attacked Adrian out of nowhere is none other than a mortal named as Hanu. He was supposed to be a normal villager living in the mountains located in the northern part of the southern continent. He should have been a normal villager but he suddenly found something when he was out foraging in the mountains.

Hanu found a small white monkey beast that is injured and took pity on it. He then nursed the small white monkey beast back to health and it regained vitality. The small white monkey beast gained some affection for Hanu and stayed with him. What Hanu did not know is that the small white monkey beast is actually the monster that managed to fuse with the soul fragment of the monkey king.

Hanu then named the small white monkey beast as Safed and cared for it as well. They were best of friends and would share their lives for the following years. The only problem is that Safed is not an ordinary beast because it has mutated due to the soul fragment of the monkey king. Once Hanu was in the mountains again, he stumbled upon numerous poachers trying to capture monkey beasts.

Safed is angry that the monkey beasts were getting caged or killed but Hanu reminded him that this is the way of life in the world. They would have escaped without any problem but one of the poachers is a powerful hunter. The hunter noticed Hanu immediately and grabbed him by the neck. As the hunter is choking the life out of Hanu, Safed became angry and released its hidden power.

Safed became a large monkey that is two meters tall and has a bulky build. He then swatted away the hunter that was injuring Hanu but the latter was already stabbed. The hunter was supposed to use his dagger to parry the attack that Safed is about to land on the former but the latter’s attack redirected the blow. The dagger lodged onto the chest of the pitiful Hanu which made Safed cry in anger.

All of the monkey beasts became enraged because the power that Safed has gotten from the soul fragment of the monkey king is Beast Domination. As the king of all the divine beasts, the Monkey King can empower, incite, and command all of the beasts that are in the mortal realm. Of course, the domination would be weaker to more intelligent beasts but the monkey beasts before them only have little intelligence.

The monkey beasts tore apart the poachers with their newfound strength and killed all of them. The only problem is that Hanu is now dying and neither Safed or the monkey beasts could help them. Even the apothecary from the small village where Hanu lives cannot heal him. The only way for Hanu to live is for Safed to sacrifice himself and use his own energy to make Hanu evolve into a being unlike before.

Even though Hanu was ready to say his goodbye to his friend, Safed defied the destiny of death that has been given to Hanu. Safed turned his entire body into energy and used that to heal Hanu until all of the injuries are gone. When everything is finished, the two of them fused to become one entity and Hanu’s appearance changed drastrically.

The young boy that looked human is now a mixture between man and monkey beast. His black hair also turned silver as a result of the fusion of their body and souls. This would have been no problem at all but the powerful energy that Safed used attracted the gods that were dwelling near that region. In the end, Hanu had conflicts with gods and had to escape further south with the monkey beasts that he freed.

Adrian learned all of this information from the Memories of the World spell. He does not know why the spell seem more vivid today as if he has a permanent connection with this world. Either way, it gave him the information that he needs from Hanu. He also learned that the hunt for Hanu has not yet stopped because he already detects divine energy approaching the location where the demi human fled.

"With his soul rejecting the fragment, it is actually quite amazing that he held on and not exploded. There could also be a chance that the soul fragment will take over his body but the soul of the other little guy residing deep inside of him seems to be keeping it in check. Still, the seal applied will not last long and Hanu might become a real divine beast if the soul fragment is not separated." Adrian muttered as he looked at the apparition of King Yama.

"Do you also have jurisdiction here, King Yama?" Adrian asked.

"In the southern continent, I am only known as Yama. A different aspect of me is handling this continent but yes, mediator." Yama stated.

"Unfortunately, I will have to intervene on the fate of that young one. I cannot extract the soul fragment of the monkey king if he dies after all. Even I am not allowed to do such a thing or else I might be sent to be judged by the others. Of course, if they die in the process then you are free to step in." Adrian stated.

"I am just here to do my duties." Yama stated as he bowed which made Adrian a bit shocked as this aspect of King Yama seems more polite.

"As long as you do not do anything out of your job description then I will not bother you as well. I am off to separate a soul fragment of a god from a boy that is on the verge of having his soul explode." Adrian stated as he vanished from his location.

"Thanks for helping me escape, guys." Hanu stated as he is being carried by the monkey beasts back to one of their hideouts.

"I smell monkeys!" A Rakshasa with the head of a sabretooth tiger stated as he is now looking directly at Hanu and the monkey beasts.
