Chapter 2876: Mystic Trait Monsters

"Can you repeat that? I think I did not hear properly." The Echidna Guild Master Ochia stated.

"I got a Small Horned Rabbit that is level 10 with the Mystic Trait." Adrian repeated which once made the Echidna Guild Master Ochia look like she was going to faint.

"Are you fine? Do you need some help?" Adrian asked as he was worried and did not notice that Ochia was doing a comedy skit because of his insane luck.

"How the fudge did you get that lucky!? I guess the whispers about you are really true. Let me wipe your face with a handkerchief just once and maybe I might get extremely lucky as well." The Echidna Guild Master Ochia stated as she cannot believe that there was even a possibility of a low-level monster having the Mystic Trait.

Most members of the Echidna guild have monsters with the Mystic Trait as soulbounds when they learned about this flexible trait. The only thing is that they never encountered one that is below level 100 which made them presume that this trait is only found on monsters above level 100. The fact that Adrian found one that is at level 10 suddenly puts this established fact as nothing more than false.

"I guess I am just really lucky and stumble on things like that from time to time. Also, you are not asking about my current look?" Adrian stated as he is still in disguise.

"I mean... you look the same to me. Are you using polymorph or something? I guess video call only show what you really look like and not what you currently look like when in polymorph. A fun fact to know." The Echidna Guild Master Ochia stated.

"Anyway, I told you everything that you wanted to learn. Tell me about the Mystic Trait." Adrian asked.

As Adrian already told the Echidna Guild Master Ochia what she wanted to know, she proceeded on telling him how these traits came to be. So far, monsters have traits to them which is something that the game already has but more unknown traits became known when the world became bigger. As if the world before could not handle or house monsters with these traits hence, they were not seen before.

Now that the world can handle more monsters of differing power scales, the monsters that had their innate traits suppressed have all appeared. The useful ones were those that have combat ready traits but the most versatile and rare ones like the Mystic Trait also appeared. The Mystic Trait as what Adrian knows is a trait that can mold a monster into a different being depending on their environment.

For example, a monster weak to fire could easily become fire resistant or even get an evolution that lets it consume fire if trained properly. This is something that should not easily happen in nature but the Mystic Trait easily erases this difficulty. It is said that there should only be one Mystic trait monster per monster species within a generation.

The Echidna Guild Master Ochia even speculated that the field bosses are actually the ones that held this trait before and evolved to become one with their surroundings. She had this belief because there have been instances of two field bosses being in the area. Pandemonium is not like other games where monsters do not attack each other. The monsters will attack each other in order to grow stronger as the survival of the fittest always applied to them.

Even field bosses kill each other if they encounter one another as they will gain experience from doing so. Even NPCs on Pandemonium get experience points if they kill a player which is why it is not strange for monsters to evolve upon killing each other. Adrian also noticed that there have been reports that field bosses have become increased in number. If the Echidna Guild Master Ochia is correct then monsters with the Mystic Trait might be the reason.

Of course, the hypothesis that monsters with the Mystic Trait becoming field bosses is not easily backed up but Adrian felt that it might be true. The Echidna Guild Master Ochia also told him that those with the Mystic Trait is incredibly difficult to seal as even a 100-level difference will not let you succeed. It is also the reason why monsters with the Mystic Trait are incredibly pricy which is why the Echidna guild is on dire financial strains.

"We cannot prove the field boss theory because they are monsters that cannot be sealed easily. As soon as a monster becomes a field boss, the chance of sealing it will turn into 0.1% regardless of level. There have been cases of players sealing a field boss but they burned more money than what it was worth which is why players often abandoned it. Also, boss monsters only have like 10% more stats of monsters with the same level and while also needing 50% more experience points to level up." Adrian stated.

"Wow! So, you are supporting my statement regarding the field boss theory! I cannot believe that you actually agree with me." The Echidna Guild Master Ochia shouted with joy as one of the leading and most powerful summoners agree with her.

"Anyways, how flexible is the Mystic Trait?" Adrian asked.

"The term flexible can describe it but circumstances also matter. If a monster with a Mystic Trait already has adapted to its environment, then you can only add on to that. Another factor we found is the monster level as having it as low as possible is definitely ideal.

A low-level monster would be easier to train and get influenced easier. This is the reason why Mystic Trait monsters get pricier if they are low in level. That Small Horned Rabbit could probably fetch at least a hundred thousand gold coins if you decide to sell it since it is basically the best one.

Those at the level 100 are already priced at fifty thousand gold coins. It might even be more expensive if that monster has dragon blood in their veins. I think Kanlaon has a Mystic Trait to him since he is different from other dragons. It might have been a very hidden trait before but players always screamed transparency to the devs which is why we have them now." The Echidna Guild Master Ochia stated which stunned Adrian as he did not know that it was that expensive.

He believed that Mystic Trait Monsters would be traded at most a thousand gold coins but the prices seem to have skyrocketed to absurd level. He could definitely hunt for monsters with the Mystic Trait as Adrian’s eyes can see the soul quality of monsters. He basically splurged on the defenses and prosperity of Avalon which is why even his expenses is tight.

"I will just make sure to check every so often when I am in a monster infested place." Adrian muttered.

"What is that? Did you say something? Anyways, if you are not going to make that Small Horned Rabbit into a soulbound then do you mind selling it to me?" The Echidna Guild Master Ochia as she is incredibly interested in this Mystic Trait low level monster.

"I am still thinking about it." Adrian replied.

"If I were you then I would instantly get it as a soulbound. You do not know when you can encounter one like that again. Monsters with the Mystic Trait can easily evade detection skills which is why they are difficult to search for once you lose sight of them. They even have the ability to bypass low level barriers which makes them even more difficult to capture as you will need actual manual labor." The Echidna Guild Master Ochia stated as she honestly said her opinion since she and Adrian are friends.

"It’s a bit refreshing to see someone say something like that to me. Often times, they will downplay it because they also want it." Adrian replied with a smile.

"We are allies and friends after all. I do not betray my allies and friends even if I am a bit jealous of your luck right now. Also, monsters with the Mystic Trait are incredibly smart. They have the intelligence of an adult human even if they come from a monster species that is said to not be smart." The Echidna Guild Master Ochia added.

"Is that so? Thanks for the info. If I do get another one then I might offer it to you first before selling it to an auction." Adrian stated.

"Knowing your luck... I think it might happen." The Echidna Guild Master Ochia replied as she ended the call.

Adrian then proceeded to summon the Small Horned Rabbit out of the Companion Stone. Its soul is currently bound on the Companion Stone which is why it cannot escape even if it wants to. As soon as it was summoned, the Small Horned Rabbit looked at Adrian. He can immediately tell that this Small Horned Rabbit does have great intelligence from the shine on its eyes.
