Terry also wasn’t completely sure of that and that was a first... if only such a thing had happened two weeks later, then his newest weapon would have been almost complete. Still, they couldn’t afford to wait two weeks when lives are on the line.

"Sir, I believe we should bring some others with us," Fernanda said. "I don’t doubt your abilities, but this is beyond anything that we all could have imagined." 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺

"That is true, but we can’t afford to leave the guild masters behind until we confirm their situation," Gustavo said. "Still, this is up to you again, Terry."

Terry wondered if Gustavo was enjoying saying that all the time. Still, he had a point, it was up to him and Rebecca and Vanessa were waiting for his decision.

"We can’t let the enemies get carried away further, they also should be aware that we are here and retreating now would only make them feel like Earth is their playground," Terry explained. "We will invade their base and kill everyone on sight. Don’t hesitate no matter what they look like."

The group was left wondering about Terry’s strong insistence on not hesitating to defeat their enemies, even if their appearance seemed human-like. They guessed that Terry might believe these foes could resemble them in some way, perhaps due to coming from an advanced civilization that blended technology and magic. This assumption led to the idea that the enemies could manipulate their appearance to exploit human reluctance to harm something that looks human.

Terry’s call to act swiftly was likely driven by this thought. The group believed he was worried that the enemies might use their similarity to humans to their advantage. They saw the importance of staying cautious and not falling for any possible tricks. With the unknown technology-magic mix these foes could possess, the group understood that appearances might be deceiving, and they needed to be prepared for any kind of situation.

The group began to fly high in the sky, and the more they approached, the more they felt that the cloud above was a lot bigger than they had imagined... Most of the time, the Portal would only take them to the overlord after clearing ten camps, but when the overlord is a powerful one, they are always nearby.

Unfortunately, the group didn’t know if they were lucky or not, but soon they were surprised by something. From the clouds, some large mana spheres were fired toward them.

Terry jumped and punched the projectiles, but whenever he did that, they exploded around him and caused some damage... At least there wasn’t much weight behind them and he blocked them all.

"This could be a problem..." Terry said while landing on the platform and then showing steam leaving his armor.

"Let me handle this," Gustavo said and then raised his hands when the next group of mana spheres was fired. "Fernanda, I leave the platform to you."

Amidst the intense confrontation, Gustavo’s telekinetic abilities proved to be their savior. His mastery over this power allowed him to form an almost imperceptible shield in front of the group, effectively halting the incoming barrage of mana spheres. The clash between these magical projectiles and the unseen barrier generated small explosions that contributed to an undeniable rise in the ambient temperature. This visual display of his power showcased both his strength and the potential danger they were facing.

As the group watched, they could see Gustavo’s focused determination etched on his face as he maintained the barrier. The tense atmosphere became even more palpable as the heat generated by the intercepted mana spheres mixed with the charged emotions of the situation.

"They are attacking faster now... it must be an automatic defense system," Vanessa said while rubbing her chin thoughtfully. "The closer we get, the harder it will become..."

Fernanda tried to speed up while keeping a distance from the invisible cannons, but the attacks began to come from all sides of the Island... that was no good. They had to face that to get closer.

"Charge ahead without hesitation, we will have to deal with the attacks," Terry declared. "The cannons won’t be able to attack us once we reach their base since it will put it at risk."

Fernanda hesitated a bit, but soon she nodded. That was a risky maneuver, but Gustavo nodded while looking at her since they didn’t have other options. Fernanda increased the speed of the platform and then approached the clouds. Just like Vanessa said, the mana spheres began to be shouted faster like machine guns.

As the group continued their airborne advance towards the enemy’s base, the sky above them erupted in a storm of mana spheres. The relentless barrage of magical attacks rained down upon them, each sphere carrying destructive potential. In response, Terry, Rebecca, and Vanessa coordinated their efforts to counter the assault.

Rebecca summoned forth her mastery over earth and fire, crafting blazing fire spears that shot up from the ground to intercept the oncoming mana spheres. These fiery lances clashed with the magical projectiles, creating explosive collisions that deflected the attacks and scattered flames across the sky.

Beside her, Vanessa utilized her affinity for ice and wind to create a frigid shield of ice spears. These icy formations formed a protective barrier that intercepted the mana spheres, their cold resistance shattering the magical projectiles upon impact. The air around them grew frosty as the ice and wind combined to create a formidable defense.

Terry, his power armor enhanced by his unique abilities, utilized his incredible strength and agility to launch wind spears from his mechanical gauntlets. These powerful projectiles cut through the air with precision, knocking aside incoming mana spheres with controlled gusts of wind. His movements were swift and purposeful, his attacks seamlessly blending into the chaotic battle.
