Only My Weapons Level UP
Chapter 191: Power Ceiling
In the midst of their discussion, Terry recognized the strategic importance of defeating an overlord as soon as possible. It was a risk-laden endeavor, one that could tip the scales dramatically in their favor. The potential for the weapon to gain rapid enhancements through this victory was tantalizing, and the thought of such exponential growth was hard to ignore.
Yet, Terry also understood the sobering truth – sometimes, circumstances forced choices upon them that weren’t ideal. The necessity of the situation, the urgency of the nation’s plight, necessitated decisions that might not align perfectly with their long-term plans. It was a bitter pill to swallow, but Terry was acutely aware that their choices were intertwined with the greater good. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
"Since that is the case, from now on, I will join you guys in the closing of portals," Terry declared. "Naturally, I will do that on my own to improve the weapon faster."
"The overlord mentioned how your trait worked, but we don’t know the details... I suppose it will be better if we don’t know completely," Rebecca said. "Anyway, should we do the same and create weapons with our blood?"
"Perhaps spreading the knowledge of this will enhance the strength of each person," Vanessa said. "What do you think?"
Terry contemplated the possibility of sharing the knowledge about the unique properties of blood and traits with the world. While the notion held potential, he grappled with the notion of unforeseen consequences. He couldn’t foresee how this information could negatively impact a world where the overlords were already privy to such knowledge.
The idea had its merits. If everyone could harness their own blood’s distinct traits and infuse them into weapons, the potential for enhancing their effectiveness was enticing. This collective utilization of individual strengths could lead to a more evenly balanced battleground. It could also serve as a countermeasure against the dominance of the overlords, evening the odds in the struggles that lay ahead.
However, Terry understood that even positive intentions could give rise to unintended consequences. Spreading this information might inadvertently escalate conflicts. As more individuals gained access to this power, rivalries and power struggles could amplify, leading to an arms race that surpassed anything they had experienced before. The very essence of the world’s battles might shift, driven by a new wave of competition and desperation.
The notion of everyone wielding blood-infused weapons wasn’t just a double-edged sword; it was a complex web of ethical dilemmas. On one hand, it promised empowerment, unity, and resistance against tyranny. On the other, it harbored the potential for chaos, misuse, and a reimagined world order that was both unpredictable and risky.
As Terry’s mind navigated these intricate considerations, the weight of his responsibility became palpable. The power to shape the course of his nation and perhaps the world rested upon his shoulders. He understood that his decisions extended beyond the immediate battlefield – they had the potential to spark widespread changes that would echo through generations.
"Perhaps spreading the knowledge will improve our image a bit," Terry said. "I am planning to make copies of this weapon for you guys, but it will take a while since we need this for the next fights no matter what."
"We can wait," Rebecca said. "Actually, it is kind of scary if we become more powerful than this. Even if we know that the overlords are even stronger, it is still scary that we can reach similar power levels."
"I also think that this much power can affect us and make us change..." Vanessa added while showing a difficult expression.
"That is some confidence that you have there on your morals," Terry said. "Still, I suppose that kind of thinking suits you."
Terry had never foreseen the transformation his power would bring. In his wildest dreams, he could not have imagined himself capable of feats that defied the limits of human potential. Battling and triumphing over dragons, super trolls, and ancient behemoths that had roamed the earth for centuries had been beyond the scope of his imagination.
As his journey unfolded, Terry grappled with the expansiveness of his newfound abilities. It was as though he had been handed a key to a realm of power and strength that had always seemed distant and unattainable. He found himself facing adversaries that, in the past, would have appeared insurmountable – and yet, he emerged victorious.
The concept of a ceiling on his power became increasingly elusive. Each accomplishment shattered preconceived notions of his limitations. The once-distant horizon of his capabilities now seemed infinitely distant, and Terry pondered whether his strength was on par with those who had risen to the status of overlords. This realization both intrigued and daunted him.
A nagging notion tugged at Terry’s thoughts – the idea that he possessed not just the strength to overcome challenges within his own world, but the potential to extend his influence even further. The concept of conquering the universe, while colossal and overwhelming, couldn’t be entirely dismissed. Despite its grandeur, Terry couldn’t help but recognize the potential within himself to enact change on an astronomical scale.
Yet, the idea was not without its complexities. The notion of conquering the universe, while holding an undeniable allure, also carried a weight of responsibility and effort that Terry couldn’t ignore. He was acutely aware of the immense challenges, sacrifices, and complications that would accompany such a pursuit. It seemed like an insurmountable feat – a colossal pain in the ass, as he candidly phrased it.
The next day, Terry decided to move while Rebecca and Vanessa would stay behind, but then he learned that the tunnel was finished and reached the third dungeon. Unfortunately, the monsters there were too much for the skeleton knights. Since they were Ice Spirits.
The ice spirits were a formidable breed of supernatural entities, born of the frozen depths and wielding the chilling powers of ice and frost. These spectral beings were shrouded in an aura of frigid energy, emanating an otherworldly cold that could send shivers down the spines of even the bravest souls.
