Until now, Terry didn’t have much of a hard time finding enemies that could use really pain-in-the-ass magic, but those kinds of items sure will come in handy when the time comes. In the end, Terry guarded the portal throughout the night and day, and he had a lot of time to think about things.
"I should have been more careful... this victory will help the guild a lot and make everyone gain a bunch of experience when facing tough enemies, but we weren’t ready for everything," Terry thought. "The fact that not everyone had awakened traits was also an issue... even if they have my weapons and have the will to fight, a trump card like that also could have come in handy."
Terry, as the leader of the guild, held a strong conviction when it came to accepting members from other guilds. He was wary of individuals who had previously belonged to different guilds, concerned about the potential risks they posed to the unity and integrity of his own guild.
One of Terry’s primary concerns was the presence of spies. He understood that information was power in the realm of guilds and adventurers. By admitting former members of other guilds, he feared that valuable guild secrets, strategies, and even the location of their stronghold could be compromised. Protecting the interests and safety of his guild and its members was paramount to Terry, and he believed that maintaining a close-knit and trustworthy group was the best way to achieve that.
Additionally, Terry was cautious of individuals who might be solely interested in his guild’s weapons and resources. He believed that accepting members who were only seeking personal gain or advancement would dilute the guild’s sense of camaraderie and dedication to a common cause. Terry valued loyalty and a shared sense of purpose, and he believed that admitting individuals solely motivated by personal gain would hinder the overall cohesion and effectiveness of the guild.
However, Terry was also aware that this approach came with its own risks. By restricting the intake of experienced individuals from other guilds, he was potentially missing out on valuable skills, knowledge, and expertise that could contribute to the guild’s growth and success. He understood that diversity and the integration of different talents and experiences could enhance the guild’s capabilities and broaden its horizons.
"I need to hurry up with the battlesuits..." Terry thought. "Those ten guys are a cohesive group of blacksmiths, but I might have to invite more blacksmiths, even though it might make the first group feel like they aren’t doing enough."
While that was going to make them work harder, it came with risks as well. In the end, Terry felt like sighing since he didn’t think that he would have to think so much about that kind of thing. For a moment, he thought that making a guild had been a mistake, but soon he discarded those thoughts since he knew how the powerless felt in that world, and he also knew that most of them could share his goals and ideas.
Fortunately, Juan and some others showed up early the following day to guard the portal, and Terry had the chance to check things with the blacksmiths. After they heard what had happened, they decided to work throughout the night, so they looked as tired as they could be, but they finished the next prototype.

"Excellent," Terry said while smiling in satisfaction. "It lost some durability but became lighter, huh? Not bad. Good work."
"Thank you, guild master. It is an honor," Clark said and then bowed.
"Now, go home and rest during the whole day; that is an order," Terry said. "Tomorrow onward, you guys will work on expanding this to the head and torso. You don’t have a time limit, so don’t hurry ahead without thinking."
"Yes, sir," Clark said while saluting.
Terry wanted to test that new toy as soon as possible, but it was better to pass the other bracers to someone else. Juan used a spear, so he wasn’t the best option. Truth be told, Terry didn’t know anyone else in his guild by name aside from Clark, Juan, and Rebecca. In the end, he gave it to Rebecca for her to find a suitable user.
"Are you going to make the blacksmiths create full body armor or something?" Rebecca asked. "Their creations sure are something... I can feel the weight of the bracers, but they make me feel stronger, much more than their weight can bother me."
"It seems that you didn’t suffer much mental or physical damage after yesterday, but you have been working hard, so you should take a break and spend some time with your siblings," Terry said. "You are also managing all the money of the guild... you need to outsource some of your work."
"I wish that I could; I didn’t find anyone to do the math for the guild; it feels like everyone forgot how to use math in the last thirty years," Rebecca shrugged.
Rebecca’s words also made Terry feel like he should expand his horizons. Recruiting warriors in new work when they didn’t have traits or battle experience and making them face the mechanic warriors was too risky... making them head to the other dungeons was the best option. Still, Terry and the others couldn’t help them there since they had never been there, and they were too busy as well.
There weren’t many options in that regard aside from trusting the veterans of other guilds to help him. Still, they had no reason to since Terry also disliked them and their methods until now.
