Only My Weapons Level UP
Chapter 94: The next guildmasters
As for the cons, power armors are a scarce resource, and Terry had to consider whether diverting one of the suits to Vanessa would leave their group with insufficient protection. It was crucial to ensure that an adequate number of suits were available for their missions and the safety of the entire team.
The Power armor requires some training to operate effectively. If Vanessa was not familiar with using this advanced technology, it could take time for her to adapt and fully harness its capabilities. This learning curve might impact their immediate effectiveness in combat.
While Terry didn’t want it, Vanessa had a point when she said that he should bring Rebecca with him. While he didn’t see her in action with the power armor, he could tell that everyone in the two elite teams relied a lot on her. With her power armor, she should be even more useful than Vanessa. Still, Terry didn’t want to risk someone who had to look after such small children... if something were to happen to her, he wouldn’t have a choice but kook after those two, and he was by far the least person suited to do so.
Still, as if it was a matter of fact, Rebecca was already preparing for the mission and even buying clothes and gear for a cold environment. Terry also saw her buying clothes for children... clothes that children would wear in cold environments.
"I think that those are too small for you," Terry suddenly approached and then said it.
"Well, we are heading to a cold area soon, so I need to equip those two," Rebecca explained. "When we returned, I thought that I would go mad since those two pestered me so much for leaving them behind... I can’t do the same thing again."
"Are you aware that we are heading to a warzone, and you want to bring children with us?" Terry asked while furrowing his eyebrows
"I am, but I don’t have any other choice," Rebecca said. "Besides, trolls can’t fly, they won’t attack the airplane, and we will be able to land without any problems. Besides, they promised to do whatever I told them to do."
"I am amazed that you can trust the words of such stubborn kids that easily; it isn’t like they have any real reason to know the true meaning of keeping their word," Terry said and then shrugged.
In any case, they prepared for three days, and Terry didn’t do much during those days aside from leveling up a few items. He wanted to level up his armor again and make it even stronger than before, but he could do that for quite a while during the mission; he won’t be able to strengthen the guild while he was on that mission.
"Besides, it won’t be any fun if the trolls are that easy to defeat; I hope that they can prove a challenge," Terry thought.
Besides, even if he wanted, his new armor wasn’t ready, so he couldn’t level it up anyway. In the end, Terry only saw his new armor on the morning of the departure, and it was starting to look more medieval than he thought. Anyone wearing that would stick like a sore thumb, but he was fine with it.
The armor itself was predominantly black, with intricate patterns of crimson-red scales running along its surface. These red scales seemed to shimmer and reflect light, giving the armor an air of intensity and mystique.
The scales were strategically placed, accentuating the contours of the armor and adding an element of both aesthetics and functionality. They created a visually striking contrast against the dark backdrop, making the wearer stand out in a crowd.
The armor’s silhouette was sleek and streamlined, crafted with precision and attention to detail. It hugged the wearer’s body, providing a snug fit that maximized mobility without compromising protection. Reinforced joints and plates enhanced flexibility, allowing for fluid movements in combat situations.
The group also stopped to pick up Vanessa on her guild before they headed to the airport. The airplane with the other guild masters was already there waiting for them.
They were: Hector, a spearman; Roger, an ax wield; Lucy, an ice mage; Natalia, a brawler; Kai, a swordsman with a katana.
Hector, the spearman, stood tall and imposing with a muscular build. He wore sturdy armor adorned with intricate engravings and donned a helmet that partially obscured his face. In his hands, he wielded a long spear, its gleaming blade reflecting the light with each precise movement. Hector’s expertise in spear combat was evident in his confident stance and the way he effortlessly maneuvered the weapon, striking with deadly accuracy.
Roger, the ax wielder, had a burly and rugged appearance. He stood slightly hunched, his muscular arms adorned with tattoos that seemed to tell tales of past battles. His attire consisted of thick leather armor, offering both protection and flexibility. He gripped a massive double-headed battle ax in his hands, its sharp blades glinting ominously. Roger’s brute strength and relentless determination made him a fearsome opponent, capable of delivering devastating blows with his formidable weapon.
Lucy, the fire mage, exuded an air of mystique and power. Her long crimson robes flowed around her as if perpetually caught in an unseen breeze. Her eyes shimmered with an inner fire as she channeled her magical energy. In her hands, she held a polished staff adorned with intricate carvings and a crystal at its tip. With a simple gesture, Lucy could conjure flames that danced and crackled under her command, unleashing destructive fire spells upon her enemies. 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢
Natalia, the brawler, possessed a lean and agile physique, her body honed through intense training. She wore lightweight armor that emphasized mobility, allowing her to swiftly evade attacks. Her hands were wrapped in sturdy gauntlets, and her fists were her preferred weapons. Natalia’s fighting style combined martial arts techniques with raw physical strength, enabling her to deliver powerful punches, kicks, and grappling maneuvers with unrivaled precision and speed.
Kai, the swordsman with a katana, emanated an aura of grace and discipline. He donned a sleek black attire consisting of a fitted tunic and loose pants, allowing unrestricted movement. His hands expertly gripped a gleaming katana, its blade polished to a mirror-like finish. Kai’s swordsmanship was a testament to years of dedicated training, as he effortlessly executed swift and precise strikes, seamlessly blending speed, agility, and deadly accuracy.
