Chapter 80: Chapter 80: Purple Fiery Fire

The visibility inside the colosseum was entirely chaotic as the thick smoke refused to dissipate, continuously circulating throughout the massive arena.

The drake slowly flapped its massive wings, intending to land amidst the bubbling molten lava.

But before it could touch down...

A sharp, wheezing sound tore through the air!

Whosshhhh!!!! PAMM!!!

The colossal body of the drake shook violently as it staggered midair, sliding awkwardly across the ground and completely losing its balance upon landing. A gaping hole had been blasted clean through its shoulder without any obstruction!

’Hehe... One hundred percent of my strength really can puncture its tough scales’ Quinn thought as he saw the massive gaping hole in it’s shoulder.

To his surprise, the gaping wound immediately began to heal. Molten lava surged through the creature’s veins, flowing into the gaping area and rapidly filling the damage caused by his punch.

ROAR!!!

The hollow, lifeless eyes of the drake suddenly flared into a brilliant, blinding crimson. Its entire body erupted in a violent blaze as it lunged toward Quinn’s location..it’s definitely in rage now after receiving that blow!

BAMMM!!!

The very sand where Quinn had been standing was completely razed by a brutal claw swipe. The beast had entirely lost its sanity, unleashing a relentless onslaught, not caring what happened to it’s surroundings.

Bamm!! Bamm!!! Bamm!!!

Quinn sprinted from place to place non-stop, seamlessly evading the rapid fire strikes of the drake’s frenzied assault.

’Enough of this. Fighting Fang and Blink was significantly harder than dealing with this thing’ Quinn evaded the attacks without any much effort.

What he said was based on a simple reality, humanoid opponents possessed far greater intellectual and tactical capabilities than a wild beast. Even though a fire drake was a peak predator, an beast would always remain just a beast..

While this rule typically only applied to lower-tier entities, it held true here. To Quinn, fighting a mindless opponent driven purely by raw instinct made the entire encounter feel rather boring and easy...

Of course, if Quinn possessed lower or even the same stats to the drake, he wouldn’t be dwelling on such tactical approach. But he was entirely different now....

He possessed a whopping 600 points in each base attribute! While he estimated the drake’s stats to be somewhere around the 500+ range.

While a 100 point difference might sound small, it was a well known law throughout this world that the higher the stats grew, the wider the actual gap became.

Bridging that chasm was practically impossible...just as it had been for Blink, who was utterly pummeled by a whooping superior margin of strength.

"Blink..." he mumbled under his breath.

In an instant, his body completely vanished from sight.

’Purple Fiery Fire... concentrated.’

Quinn suddenly appeared directly in front of the mindless beast’s massive head. Gathering all of his might, he delivered a blinding blow as his entire arm erupted into a brilliant purple flame!

BOOOMMM!!!

The devastating shockwave reverberated through the arena, shaking the colosseum to its core once again. But the silhouettes attention was instantly captured by a horrifying sight...a gaping hole had been punched directly through the forehead of the drake!

A mysterious purple fire violently ravaged its insides like a starved beast, rapidly devouring the creature’s native flames and its rapidly waning life force.

Thud.

Its lifeless body went entirely limp, crashing heavily onto the sand. There was none of the drawn-out, earth-shattering carnage that the spectators had anticipated; instead, the battle simply ended in a single, decisive stroke.

"WHAT?! WHAT IN THE WORLD JUST HAPPENED?! THE ENTIRE SEQUENCE OCCURRED IN THE FRACTION OF A SECOND BEFORE BLAZE DROPPED DEAD! THIS UTTERLY DEMONSTRATES WHO THE REAL DEAL TRULY IS! THE ONE! THE DEFIER!!!"

Screaming like someone who had completely lost his sanity, the host babbled continuously, utterly lacking a logical explanation for what he had just witnessed.

The lethal attack had occurred so fast that even the elite silhouettes watching from the high tiers hadn’t been able to fully track the movement.

Quinn didn’t give a damn shit about the commentary as he looked down at his right arm, which had turned completely blackened and charred. The destructive output of the purple fire was so intense that it had severely burned his own flesh, despite his whopping 600 points in Vitality. Although Vitality directly correlated to physical defense and bodily toughness, his arm had been roasted like charcoal in a matter of milliseconds.

’At least I possess super regeneration to mend my wounds.’ Quinn observed quietly as his burnt muscle tissues and charred skin slowly began to knit themselves back together.

.....

On the other side of the spectator area, Alice’s mouth hung agape in utter disbelief. She thought she had seen everything, but this was something else entirely. It was completely unheard of for someone to perfectly replicate a unique skill so that it was absolutely identical to the real deal. For the skill Quinn had just unleashed was undeniably her signature technique, which explained her profound shock.

’Hehe... this is just one of the inherent perks of our soul bonding, so you don’t need to fret over it. Quite a pleasant surprise, isn’t it?’ Lyra transmitted smoothly to her mind.

’Hah... I genuinely do not know how many shocking secrets Quinn keeps hidden away.’ Alice managed to think back, her mind reeling.

’It feels as though all of my gathered visions from the past have been rendered completely useless.’ 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶

It took Alice and Lyra some time to fully regain their bearings. Both women were profoundly shocked by how effortlessly Quinn had slaughtered the high-ranking drake. He hadn’t even drawn a weapon, relying purely on his raw physical power and a borrowed flame to completely overwhelm his opponent.

The mighty beast had been thoroughly pummeled into a pathetic state, suffering a truly pitiful death. Up above, none of the silhouettes gave a single damn about the creature’s corpse; the bloodthirsty silhouettes simply continued to wildly shout and chant Quinn’s title into the smoky air.
