Our Love Story: Hard to Guard Against the Sudden Love Strike
Chapter 679 - 650: Swim a Few Laps
Simon Forrester is a man of action. Having asked Sienna Thornton to exercise with him for an hour each evening just last night, he immediately put it into practice the next day.
Sienna Thornton had worked all day and was exhausted. She had just put the child to sleep and was ready to sleep herself when Simon Forrester, feeling perfectly fine, coaxed her to the third floor. When she refused to go, he carried her up.
It was the hottest August of the year, and the third floor had no air conditioning. Even with the viewing deck doors wide open, the whole place felt like a steamy sauna. Sienna Thornton felt sticky all over the moment Simon Forrester put her down.
She was tired and hot and just wanted to escape to the cool room to sleep, so she tried to run back to the second floor when Simon Forrester wasn’t looking. But as soon as she reached the landing, she was carried back up.
"I’m exhausted, I want to sleep." She struggled to get down, pounding his back with her hands as she wailed, "I’ll die from sleep deprivation! Are you trying to wear me out so you can marry someone younger..."
Simon Forrester remained unmoved, carrying her straight towards the sauna room.
She pounded him, slapped him, "Stupid Simon Forrester!..."
"Our son has weaned off night feedings and sleeps through till dawn. You sleep from nine at night till eight the next morning, a full eleven hours. Are you trying to turn into a pig?"
"Sleeping more makes you smarter!"
"You’re already smart enough." Simon Forrester opened the sauna room door, shoved her inside, and tossed her swimsuit and robe from the outside cabinet, "Change into your swimsuit and swim a few laps."
With that, he closed the door from the outside, locking her in.
Sienna Thornton jumped in protest inside. He watched her through the glass, lifting his chin to signal her to change into her swimsuit.
Sienna hummed at him, made faces, and pretended to be angry, hoping he would let her out. But seeing he was completely unmoved, she reluctantly took off her nightdress and changed into the swimsuit.
The swimsuit was a bikini style, red with white polka dots, accentuating Sienna Thornton’s already fair skin even more.
Once she changed, Simon Forrester put on his swim trunks, entered swiftly, and wrapped her blushing face in his arms, guiding her towards the pool.
"We had a child, and I just realized I’ve never swum with you," Simon Forrester laughed, "It’s so amusing. We have two swimming pools, and you’ve never felt the urge to swim."
Sienna Thornton rolled her eyes at him in displeasure, "That’s because I don’t like exercise."
Simon Forrester reached over to pinch her waist, "Here, so soft." After pinching, he moved to her arm, "Here, not firm enough."
She angrily smacked his hand and chased after him.
He leapt into the adjacent heated pool, diving straight to the bottom. She hurriedly ran to the edge to look.
The surface where he had vanished slowly calmed, the deep blue pool now empty.
She was startled, her heart racing as she called into the water, "Honey? Honey..."
The pool showed no sign of him; only a beam of moonlight occasionally refracted off the water surface, creating a slight shimmer.
"Oh my! Honey, are you there?"
Sienna Thornton panicked, fearing Simon Forrester might have been injured and sunk, and quickly jumped in after him.
She hadn’t been in the water for years, and the sudden plunge caused the pressure to nearly send her heart into spasms.
Holding onto the pool’s edge, she took deep breaths, trying to acclimate both her breath and body to the underwater pressure. Gradually adjusting, she filled her lungs with air, about to dive when suddenly, she felt someone gently wrap around her waist.
The next moment, Simon Forrester emerged from the water, holding her as he slowly swam to the pool’s edge, softly kissing her...
