Kagekawa’s home,
Arthur’s room
Present day
"Meat buns! Mmmph~so delicious." Arthur talked in his dreams while clutching onto the soft made-up buns. "No the meat buns are growing larger...ah no I’m being suffocated. Gah!"
"Haaah! Haah!" Arthur sat up in his bed, gasping for air and clutched his hair, "Those meat buns...they were horrifying." He thought to himself. He turned to his side and saw, "Amygdala?!" Arthur exclaimed.
There he saw Amygdala, who was dressed in a white gown pyjama that couldn’t cover her chest fully. Arthur couldn’t help but blush, while shamelessly staring as he was mesmerised by the sight. He then snapped out of his trance, "C’mon Arthur, what are you looking at?!" He said to himself while pressing both of his cheeks together with his palm.
"Mmmmguuu~Arthur, what are you doing? Get back in bed. It’s cold~mmmph" She said half-asleep while rubbing her eye. Suddenly, Arthur was pulled back down into bed. Amygdala hugged him from the side like a body pillow and started nibbling his ears, while making strange sounds.
Arthur lay there as straight as an arrow, completely nervous and helpless. Amygdala’s strength was surprising to him and he couldn’t move a muscle. Her strength completely pinned him down. However, he didn’t mind it as he thought to himself that a part of Amygdala’s body felt very soft and he’d actually like to stay in bed longer.
"Just a little longer than..." Arthur blushed.
Chronos had gotten up early in the morning to train. He stood there practising swings with a wooden sword over and over again, he was sweating and breathing heavily under the blazing sun but he did not falter once in motivation as he was completely determined to get stronger. Half an hour passed by and Kagekawa had made his way to the front of their house where he encouraged the hard-working Chronos.
Kagekawa yawned while scratching his belly as he walked towards Chronos, "I see you’re up early."
"Haaaah! I need to get stronger for Arthur and myself." Chronos said whilst panting for air.
Kagekawa smirked, "I see." he calmly spoke and then picked up a wooden sword and pointed towards Chronos, "Want to spar again?"
"Yes!" Chronos eagerly exclaimed.
An hour passed by
Arthur and Amygdala had now fully gotten out of bed and were ready to get on with their day. Amygdala wore an apron in the kitchen and decided to make breakfast for everyone. Arthur joined her in cooking, he couldn’t help but keep his eyes on her. He then hugged her from behind, which both of them were surprised by. Arthur did it without thinking as he wanted to be affectionate towards Amygdala and thought she looked really cute in the apron she wore.
He wished to spend time with her and her alone so he asked, "A-Amygdala...would you like to go on a date?" Arthur asked nervously as he buried his face into the back of her head.
Amygdala then placed her hands on top of Arthur’s hand and replied, "I’d love to...darling~."
Arthur instantly brightened up like a puppy wagging his tail as their owner returned home after a long day out.
"R-Really?" Arthur had shining stars in his eyes.
Amygdala chuckled a little, "Yes really...Honestly, I didn’t think my future husband would be so excited over a date." A blush appeared on her face, "I don’t mind it though..." She felt a warm feeling in her heart, which reminded her of the pleasant moments she spent together with her little.
Arthur’s face then expressed guilt, he clutched his arms a little tighter around Amygdala.
"Arthur, what’s wrong?" Amygdala asked with confusion.
"Well-I have a confession I need to make...I need to be honest with you."
Amygdala turned towards Arthur and then looked up for a moment. She then tilted her head, "Your love?"
"I-I...already confessed that, idiot..." Arthur then turned away blushing.
"Hehe~so what else do you have to say?" Amygdala flirtatiously asked.
Arthur then looked at Amygdala with a serious expression and took a deep breath, "I-well...that moment where I confessed to you and said I’d marry you. I-I did it so I could escape those nightmares that you put me through...so-you k-know." Arthur kept nervously stuttering as in his heart he had come to love Amygdala and he believed telling her this would hurt her. Of course, Arthur had grown to love Amygdala dearly but the thought of her being in pain whether emotional or physical due to him would leave him heartbroken. Even so, Arthur thought he must confess his guilt regardless as he strongly believed that Amygdala had a right to know about the intention behind his proposal.
Arthur scratched the back of his head while looking down, unable to hold eye contact with Amygdala anymore as he was afraid of the reaction she would give him. "I didn’t truly mean those words I said at the time."
Amygdala remained silent, listening to every word.
"B-but! I really do love you in my heart and soul. I really really want to marry you despite the goal behind my first proposal. So-please forgive me...please." Arthur looked completely down at the ground. His vision became blurry. He saw drops of water come down...it was his tears. He thought to himself, "Why am I crying? Ah, right...Amygdala won’t want to marry me anymore. I’m going to lose the most important person in my life." Arthur stood there shaking and crying so much so that it could be described as pathetic.
Amygdala then gently placed both of her hands on Arthur’s face and moved them so she could directly look at Arthur’s watery eyes.
Amygdala’s face had an angry look. She began to pout, "Arthur! I’m really mad right now! Do you know why?" She let go and stepped back, put one of her hands on her hip while pointing directly at Arthur with the other.
Arthur then covered his eyes with his arms as he wanted to be blind to Amydala looking at his unsightly display.
"It’s because my future husband is being a huge big idiot right now! I accepted to marry you because I love you! Okay? You have nothing to feel guilty about." Amygdala wiped Arthur’s tears and then grabbed hold of his arms so she could clearly look at her future husband, "You love me, right?"
"Y-Yes! Of course I do..."
"Then that’s all that matters silly." Amygala grinned.
"I-I...how could you forgive me so easily?" Arthur asked with a pained tone of voice.
Amygdala put both of her hands behind her back while twisting her body side to side, "Hmmm...I guess it’s because I love you, maybe?" Amygdala then thought to herself, "Also...I did trap you in horrible nightmares where you kept dying so it’s understandable...in fact aren’t you a little crazy for liking me?!" A sudden realisation struck.
Amygdala then hugged Arthur. Her soft and huge chest pressed against Arthur. "You have nothing to worry about Arthur, I’ll always love my insane husband!"
"I-Insane?! Hey! What do you mean by that Amygdala?" Arthur frantically waved his arms about.
Amygdala kept hugging him with a smile, "I guess all the suffering he went through while experiencing my nightmares somehow slipped his mind..."
She then gave Arthur a peck on the cheek, "Let’s get to cooking then, shall we?"
Arthur placed his hand where Amygdala kissed and blushed heavily, "Ah! You Idiot..."
They both agreed on making roast chicken with vegetables and so they began cooking masterfully in the kitchen together. Soon after the dish was done and set on the table. An aromatic smell filled the house, Amygdala called out to Kagekawa and Chronos to come and eat. Everyone sat around eating.
"This dish is superb!" Kagekawa exclaimed. He then rubbed his nose and smirked, "It’s almost as good as the food I make. Haha!" Kagekawa proudly stated.
"Master, stop being so arrogant about your cooking skills. Amygdala and I are clearly much better cooks!" Arthur competitively replied. He then turned to Chronos, "Whose cookings better, Chronos? Answer carefully."
"That’s right Chronos, answer carefully." Kagekawa shot a fierce glare at him.
Chronos felt the pressure of the two sets of eyes, "I-uhh...I think-uhh" he nervously stammered.
"Enough both of you! Stop making Chronos pick. Arthur, all you did was cut up some vegetables." Amygdala sternly spoke.
"!"
Kagekawa gave a smug look and stroked his chin, "Ah...I see. Then you could hardly be called a cook. Haha!"
"Heh!" Arthur then chowed his food down with a slightly irritated look, unable to think of a comeback.
They all finished a satisfying and hearty meal. All of their bellies looked like they would pop at any second.
"Chronos after a bit, what do you say we go out and hunt something small?" Kagekawa suggested to Chronos.
"Yeah! Let’s go beat some monsters up!" Chronos enthusiastically replied.
Arthur and Amygdala decided to have their date now and went out to the nearby village. They both walked holding hands and it was obvious to passing onlookers that they were a couple.
"Sorry Amygdala, there’d be a lot more fun stuff to do if we went to a larger town."
"I’m plenty happy just roaming around and spending time with you Arthur." She smiled while wrapping her body around Arthur’s arm.
"Ah! I know! Let’s both of us take a visit to Excalibur!" Arthur thought to himself, "I should’ve suggested it earlier at the house." He thought this because he wanted everyone to meet Excalibur.
"Excalibur?" Amygdala tilted her head.
