Peerless Divine Doctor
Chapter 24 A Visit_1
At this moment, several black sedans were parked outside the Charm Bar.
Yan Ling walked in directly with Ye Luo.
Inside the bar, the security personnel Yan Ling had found were all lying on the ground with swollen faces and bruised noses, obviously having been beaten up. The waitstaff stood to one side with frightened expressions, while rows of figures dressed in black surrounded them.
At the bar, a bald man in a mink coat sat there, sipping an expensive vodka, flanked by several muscular men.
Among them was the same corpulent man with a beard who had surrounded Ye Luo last night, his eyes coldly sparkling as he watched Ye Luo walk in, and he whispered something into the ear of the bald man.
Instantly, the bald man in the mink coat narrowed his eyes slightly, glanced at Ye Luo, and then turned his gaze to Yan Ling who had just entered, his eyes revealing a hint of greed.
"Well, well, if it isn’t Guang Liang himself. I wonder what brings Brother Guang to little old Ling’s bar all of a sudden?"
Yan Ling approached, giving the bald man a flirtatious smile, her demeanor alluring.
"Sister Yan, I actually came here today to ask you to track someone down for me, but it seems that’s no longer necessary, as the person I’m looking for has already shown up," the bald man said, his eyes lingering on Ye Luo, a cold smile on his lips.
Hearing his words and seeing his gaze fix on Ye Luo, Yan Ling’s expression subtly changed, and her eyes hardened.
"What are you implying, Brother Guang? This man is a friend of mine. Has he offended you in some way?" Yan Ling asked with a hint of a smile, looking at the bald man.
"He hasn’t offended me, but he’s injured my dozen or so men and my capable lieutenant. What do you think we should do about this?" the bald man said, with an icy smile on his face.
Yan Ling’s expression shifted repeatedly before she finally said, "If that’s the case, I am willing to pay some of the medical bills as compensation. How does that sound, Brother Guang?"
"Do you think I, Guang Liang, would be in need of such a trivial amount for medical expenses?" the bald man sneered.
"Enough talk. Just state your demands. Or are you not man enough to speak plainly?"
Ye Luo stepped forward, arms crossed, looking indifferently at the bald man.
"You dare to be so arrogant in front of my boss. It seems you really want to die," the bearded man from the previous night said angrily, glaring at Ye Luo and sneering with a cruel and mocking glint in his eye.
You just wait, kid. You’ll get what’s coming to you in a moment...
"How did you feel last night, brother? Was it enjoyable?" 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
Ye Luo looked at the man with a smile on his face.
"You..."
The man’s face turned red with anger as he glared at Ye Luo. Remembering how he had to run to the bathroom over thirty times the previous night, almost fainting from dehydration, his heart surged with rage, clearly blaming Ye Luo for the ordeal.
"Kid, you’ve got some nerve to be so arrogant after showing a bit of strength. Looks like you still need to be taught a lesson!"
At that moment, the bald man narrowed his eyes slightly, speaking with a somewhat chilly voice. Almost instantly, the gangsters dressed in black around the bar fixed their gaze on Ye Luo with a glint of coldness in their eyes. This group was even more well-trained than the bunch from last night, clearly not just your average thugs.
"Pfft, if I’m to be taught a lesson, it better be by a beauty. I’m not into being disciplined by a big guy like you, but the fellow by your side seems a perfect fit for you. Plus, he’s been enjoying his ’blooming flower’ all night long; he must be quite ready for your training."
A playful smile appeared on the corner of Ye Luo’s mouth as he spoke nonchalantly.
"You bastard, what did you just say?"
The man with the mutton-chop beard glared at Ye Luo, eyes burning with anger. If not for knowing how tough the opponent was, he would have already rushed up and torn him apart.
The bald man’s face turned sour as well, his expression darkening. He squeezed the glass he was holding so hard that it shattered with a crack, sending glass shards flying everywhere, making the atmosphere in the bar incredibly tense.
At this moment, Yan Ling’s brows furrowed, and a look of worry flashed across her eyes. She stepped forward and addressed the bald man, "Guang Liang, my friend here is still young and speaks rashly. Please don’t take it personally."
Meanwhile, Yan Ling tugged at Ye Luo’s hand, clearly gesturing for him not to be impulsive.
The bald man took out a white cloth to wipe the alcohol off his hand, unharmed by the glass shards.
"Since Sister Yan has put it this way, I can give him a chance. However, I’d like you to dine at my house tonight. What do you say?"
As soon as these words left the bald man’s mouth, Yan Ling’s expression changed.
Ye Luo then wrapped his arm around Yan Ling’s slender waist, wearing a smile on his lips.
"Sorry, Sister Yan doesn’t just dine with anyone, especially not with someone who looks to be all brawn and no brains like you. That would simply be a disservice to Sister Yan’s stunning beauty."
"Looks like you’re really asking to drink a forfeit for not toasting properly. Break his legs first for me. I don’t like people standing while they talk to me," the bald man coldly ordered, and immediately several muscular men beside him lunged at Ye Luo.
These men were incredibly fast and violent in their approach, their punches tearing through the air. They were clearly trained fighters.
"Hmm, not bad martial arts skills, but it looks like you’ve not mastered them yet. You should go home and practice a few more years. Otherwise, aren’t you just embarrassing our Huaxia martial arts?"
Ye Luo snorted and pushed Yan Ling behind him while stepping forward, raising one hand and catching one of the attackers’ fists.
Crack!
With a fierce twist, Ye Luo broke the man’s wrist, eliciting a piercing scream, followed by a kick that made the attacker kneel on the ground.
The other two continued to attack Ye Luo with fierce and violent punches.
Ye Luo spun around, grabbed one of the men in front of him, and hurled him towards one of the attackers, forcing him to stop and catch his brother-in-arms instead.
Immediately after, Ye Luo’s powerful kick sent both men flying, crashing heavily onto the ground with a dull thud.
