Peerless Divine Doctor
Chapter 26 Nearly Spit Blood in Frustration_1
"Of course, this isn’t made of gold, but in my eyes, it’s worth thirty thousand. I wonder if you’re willing to pay up,"
Ye Luo clenched his fist, smiling as he spoke, the implication clear—pay up or face the consequences!
Guang Liang’s complexion turned as ugly as if he had eaten shit, morphing into a liver-like color, exhaling several breaths before he managed to suppress the raging fury inside, saying, "I’ll pay."
"Hold on, I haven’t finished yet."
"You..."
Guang Liang was once again on the verge of exploding with rage, his fists crackling, and he said with a somber face, "What else do you want to do?"
"This chair is also broken, don’t you think you should compensate me for it?"
Ye Luo pointed at the barstool on the ground as he spoke.
"Isn’t that the one you kicked over?"
"And wasn’t that because you were sitting on it? Otherwise, why would I have kicked it? So, you should also foot the bill for that."
"Say it, how much?"
By now, Guang Liang wanted nothing more than to stop seeing this brat; otherwise, he really feared he wouldn’t be able to resist charging at him for a fight to the death. This kid was infuriating.
Ye Luo once again held out five fingers.
For a moment, everyone in the bar stared at Ye Luo in astonishment, thinking to themselves that this kid couldn’t possibly be asking for fifty thousand.
"Fifty thousand?" Guang Liang uttered quietly.
"You’re quite smart, you guessed right. That makes eighty thousand in total, hand it over," Ye Luo waved his hand dismissively.
"One cup and one chair, and you want eighty thousand? Why don’t you go rob someone!"
The man with the sideburns couldn’t help but yell at Ye Luo.
"Hey, I am a model youth, how could I do something as bad as robbery? That would land me in jail. What I’m asking for is merely compensation,"
Ye Luo posed as if he were the very image of an upright young man, completely oblivious to the fact that he was openly extorting.
"Take out all the money you have on you."
The bald man commanded his subordinates coldly. In response, his subordinates scrambled to gather their money. Together, they had about thirty thousand.
"Here’s thirty thousand, and there’s fifty thousand in this card, take it."
Guang Liang took out a bank card and, along with the money from his subordinates, handed it all to Ye Luo.
"Thank you so much. If you ever feel like cracking some cups again because your mood turns sour, just come here to do it. I’ll give you a seventy percent discount on the compensation."
With just one sentence from Ye Luo, Guang Liang nearly burst a blood vessel with rage and hurriedly left the place, barely able to keep his anger under control.
At this moment, everyone in the bar looked at Ye Luo with admiration. This guy had managed to exchange items worth less than a hundred for eighty thousand in compensation—impressive indeed.
"I never would’ve guessed you’re pretty good at extorting people."
Then, Yan Ling swayed over to Ye Luo, a teasing smile on her lips.
"How could this be called extorting? They were willing to make amends. Sister Yan, this money is for you,"
Ye Luo said as he passed the money he held to Yan Ling, his eyes sparkling as he looked at her.
"This money is yours, I don’t want it. It just so happens I owed you thirty thousand before, so let’s settle that with this money. What do you say?"
"Sounds good to me. It’s a deal,"
Ye Luo instantly pocketed all the money he had, finally living the life of the wealthy.
"However, that Guang Liang is no ordinary person. He’s the boss of the Eastern District of Zhonghai, with vast power and a ruthless nature. Now that you’ve crossed him, you’ll need to be more careful in the future."
Yan Ling looked at Ye Luo and warned him.
"Don’t worry, nothing will happen to me. If he wants to come after me, even better. The money I have isn’t enough anyway, so it’ll be perfect if he throws in a bit more," Ye Luo said with a smile on his face.
For a moment, Yan Ling had a feeling that if Guang Liang dared to go after this kid, he’d probably suffer even greater losses.
"Alright, I have to deal with some business at the bar. Are you staying here or going home?"
"Home is so boring. Sister Yan, why don’t you give me your sports car keys? I’ll go for a drive."
Ye Luo looked at Yan Ling with a smile on his face.
"Do you know how to drive?" Yan Ling asked, somewhat skeptically.
"Of course, I do," Ye Luo assured her confidently.
Yan Ling then handed the car keys to Ye Luo, but if she had known that Ye Luo had never even touched a car before and that this would be his first time driving, she probably wouldn’t have so readily entrusted him with a car worth hundreds of thousands.
After all, Ye Luo had spent his past in the deep mountains, where there were no cars to be seen, not even a bicycle. Naturally, this was Ye Luo’s first time driving.
However, Ye Luo had to admit he was indeed a talent. After watching Jingxuan and Yan Ling drive a few times, he found that he had learned everything there was to it.
Sitting in the red sports car, Ye Luo inserted the key, stepped on the gas pedal, and the whole car roared before shooting forward, nearly crashing into a wall.
"Wow, this is awesome!"
Driving along the streets of Zhonghai, the breeze blew in through the car window, making Ye Luo feel exhilaratingly refreshed.
"This car is indeed way more comfortable than riding a leopard."
Ye Luo murmured to himself.
Vroom! Vroom! Vroom!
It was then that Ye Luo’s exceptionally sharp hearing suddenly picked up the sound of engines roaring behind him. Next, he saw a blue and a red sports car shooting past him on either side.
According to what Ye Luo had seen on TV, these two sports cars should be a Ferrari and a Lamborghini, each worth over a million.
"Damn it, how dare they overtake me!"
Seeing the two cars overtaking his own, he instantly became indignant. After all, when he used to ride leopards in the deep mountains, even fierce tigers and lions didn’t dare get in front of him.
"Fine, I’ll play along with you guys!"
Ye Luo, who could be considered a novice, instantly floored the gas pedal to the max. His red sports car swiftly caught up with the two others that were several times more expensive.
"Yo, here comes a little brat who doesn’t know what’s good for him," said the young man with green hair in the blue car, with a cold smirk on his face as he watched the red car in the rearview mirror.
In the red car, a young woman with red hair had a faint smile on her lips.
Soon enough, both of them noticed Ye Luo’s car and sped up, dashing forward.
"Let me show you how a genius drives!"
Ye Luo said calmly, instantly shifting gears and slamming on the gas and clutch, turning the steering wheel sharply. The sports car unleashed its full power and rocketed forward.
Although it was Ye Luo’s first time driving, his natural talent was undeniable. His series of moves was no less skillful than a professional racer’s.
Driving prowess is all about a person’s coordination and mental fortitude, and Ye Luo was confident he was second to none in both.
