"About two hundred-some li," Hog said after a moment of careful thought.

Levi, who intended to train him as a Scout, had naturally taught him everything a Scout needed to do.

That’s why Hog naturally knew how to estimate distances.

’No wonder Hog and his pack were only just returning; a distance of two hundred li is equivalent to a hundred kilometers in my previous life.’

Levi breathed a sigh of relief at this.

At such a great distance, it was unlikely the Giant Dragon would turn its attention to him for the time being.

"Don’t tell anyone else about this for now."

Levi instructed Hog.

It wouldn’t be a big deal if the Beastman Barbarians found out, but if Baisitina and her people learned there was another Giant Dragon near High Cliff Castle, there was no telling what ideas they might get.

After all, they had only just joined High Cliff Castle and didn’t feel a strong sense of belonging yet.

After chatting a bit longer, Levi sent Hog back to the Jackal Wolfman Tribe to go make some pups.

’A Giant Dragon...’

Levi gazed at the vast, boundless plains under the starlight, the light in his eyes flickering uncertainly.

’Frankly, my Riding Skill has already reached Level Eleven. I’m itching to see if I can become a Dragon Knight!’

Compared to the approaching Wilderness Alliance Army, this Giant Dragon was the threat Levi truly dreaded.

A single Giant Dragon could gather at least a thousand followers. Combined with its own power, its military might was already equivalent to that of a Count.

’Be vigilant in peacetime.’

This period of peace had let him grow complacent, forgetting the dangers of the Wilderness. Now, the appearance of these enemies one after another dragged him back to reality.

「The next morning.」

Seventy-one Feder Remnants approached from the distance, treading on waves of rye grass. All of them had white hair and blue eyes.

This proved they were all descendants of the Feder Royal Family.

"Good day, Lord Levi."

Jos Dan Yaxili gave a respectful bow.

The man who bowed was the contingent’s captain. He looked to be around forty, with a scar on his face and palms thick with calluses.

Levi could tell at a glance that this was an experienced Warrior.

"Captain Jos, welcome aboard. You will continue to serve as captain and will answer to my command."

Levi stated simply.

In truth, Baisitina had already discussed these matters with him and relayed them to the captain.

Levi was merely reiterating it.

"As you wish, my lord."

"Go find Tina. She’s now the Chief Steward of the Imperial Palace for High Cliff Castle. She’ll arrange your living quarters."

Jos nodded. He led his people away, all of them curiously sizing up everything in High Cliff Castle. Eventually, their expressions all turned strange. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺

They couldn’t help but internally roast the suggestive job title.

Levi, meanwhile, took the opportunity to open his system. Sure enough, all seventy-one Feder Remnants had registered as joining his forces, proving there were no traitors among them.

Among them were about ten Tier Three Feder Warriors, thirty Tier Two Federation Militia, and the rest were all Tier One Feder Commoner greenhorns.

Their equipment was also a mixed bag. The ten strongest Warriors wore Armor made of chain mail and leather, and were equipped with a Bow and Arrow and a One-Handed Sword.

The thirty Federation Militia only had Leather Armor and a Sword each.

As for the remaining Commoners, they were a given: each wore a linen shirt and was equipped only with a One-Handed Sword.

In terms of strength, this group of Feder Remnants was already on par with the Armed Guard Team of a Viscount’s Domain.

But compared to the Barbarians, they still weren’t much to look at.

Having delegated all the miscellaneous tasks to Baisitina, Levi felt completely unburdened, finally getting a taste of what it was like to be a hands-off manager.

He just had to lay out the general tasks, and someone would be there to execute them beautifully for him.

’This is the life.’

The Feder Remnants began building their own camp at High Cliff Castle in a highly organized fashion. Their sense of order was something to be reckoned with.

Their arrival also raised High Cliff Castle’s military strength to a new level.

Once the Wilderness Alliance Army was dealt with and all the Feder Remnants moved into High Cliff Castle, he could foresee a period of explosive growth for the castle.

Levi strolled around the hill with his hands clasped behind his back. Even the heavy mood brought on by the Giant Dragon affair had been significantly lightened, and he was feeling pretty good.

Just then, a commotion arose from the direction of the Jackal Wolfman Tribe, punctuated by jeers and boisterous laughter.

"Hog, you got this or not?"

"Can’t three of you even move Captain Zat?"

"Haha! Hog, are you guys exhausted from last night? That wolf howling sounded like a cat in heat, kept me awake half the night."

A crowd of Beastman Barbarians and some Jackal Wolfmen were making a racket in an open clearing.

Zat, who was as burly as an Ice Bear, stood casually in the center of the crowd, hands on his hips and a jeering look on his face.

Hog had his arms wrapped around one of Zat’s pillar-like thighs, while two other Jackal Wolfmen clung to the other. The three of them were using all their might but couldn’t make Zat budge an inch.

You have to understand, Zat was a towering two and a half meters tall, built like a Giant Beast, and weighed over six hundred pounds. And after all the good food he’d been eating, his belly was so round he had to be at least seven hundred pounds now.

The three Jackal Wolfmen, who were not yet adults, stood about 1.6 meters tall and weighed only 140 pounds. It was no surprise they couldn’t move him.

Just as Zat was gloating, the crowd suddenly fell silent. He turned his head and saw Levi smiling at him, his expression unreadable.

"B-Boss," Zat stammered, his confidence suddenly gone.

"My lord." Hog looked ashamed. After all, it was a huge loss of face for the three of them to be unable to even make Zat budge.

Levi ignored Hog, keeping his beaming smile fixed on Zat. "You seem to have a lot of energy. How about you and I have a little practice session?"

"How about we just forget it?" Zat asked cautiously.

Ever since being brutally dominated by Levi in the Kolon Arena, he had sworn to never spar with his boss again.

"What do you think?"

"Can you go easy on me, Boss? I’m scared of getting hurt."

Realizing a spar with Levi was unavoidable, Zat was on the verge of tears.

"You’re a grown man, stop being so wishy-washy."

Levi impatiently unbuckled his Sword and tossed it to Hog. He then pulled off his thin, linen-colored short-sleeved shirt, revealing a perfect physique: broad back, a narrow waist, and an eight-pack.

"Go get ’im, Captain Zat!"

"Show some spirit, Captain Zat!"

Seeing their strongest, Captain Zat, about to face off against the boss, the onlooking Beastmen started cheering excitedly.

"Zat, don’t embarrass us!" Muto chimed in from the side, fanning the flames with unconcealed glee.

That oaf Zat was always using "teaching Martial Arts" as an excuse to spar with him. Now that the boss was about to put Zat in his place, Muto couldn’t be happier.

The commotion from the Jackal Wolfman Tribe attracted the attention of Baisitina and Jos, who were in the middle of discussing business.

"Hm? What’s going on over there?"

The two walked over together, curious to see what had drawn a crowd of Beastmen and Jackal Wolfmen.

’Could it be some special High Cliff Castle event?’

"Boss, here I come!"
