Pirate Kingship
Chapter 1043 - 559: Tree of Life, Old God Host_2
But Jeanne had just taken a step, away from the central tree, when the twelve "Night Owl Death Knights" resting along the small river all turned their heads towards her.
The cold eyes beneath the Night Owl masks instantly lost all emotion.
They stood up, forming a circle and slowly advancing towards her, their voices gradually losing human sound, turning into a hoarse growl:
"Worship!"
"Worship the Tree of Life!"
"Worship Mother of Monsters Echidna who granted us life!"
The female knight instinctively widened her eyes, vaguely seeing that each of them had a phantom red tendril or stem connected to the back of their heads, like fruits hanging from a tree.
Yet she couldn’t remember when her powerful companions fell victim, nor did she know if she herself was hit.
She couldn’t help but tremble all over, horrified, retreating step by step.
Seeing them getting closer, their originally human bodies undergo mutation, gradually becoming black-red stumps resembling chunks of flesh.
Their upper bodies stretched towards the sky with tendrils and branches, filled with large mouths dripping foul-smelling slime, with a few deformed hooves beneath.
They had transformed into half-animal half-plant "trees."
Intense spiritual pollution spread at close range, causing Jeanne’s sanity to plummet, involuntarily swinging her long spear and shouting:
"Get away, I’m not afraid of you! Absurd Absurd!"
Rumbling...
Fourth Order Spiritual Radiance exploded, stone blocks by the small river piled up one by one, quickly forming several towering stone giants.
Title Ability [Absurd Absurd]:
"While upholding justice, as long as you use your imagination and shout ’Absurd Absurd,’ you can freely change the shapes of surrounding objects, turning dreams into reality.
A windmill becomes a giant, a flock of sheep turns into an army, a barber becomes a knight... far more powerful than the Fantasia Armory of the Phantom Blade."
However, these stone giants had just been birthed when tiny red filaments spread over them, breaking free from Jeanne’s control, joining the "trees" to launch an attack.
Soon capturing the despair-ridden Fourth Order female knight, countless tendril-like branches bound her tightly.
Injecting toxins to paralyze her completely, rendering her immobile.
The team set off again, continuing on their "worship" journey.
This time, the polluted mountains and forests automatically parted ways, speeding their team to the heart of the forest before the red "Tree of Life."
If she had seen Violet’s [Gate of Truth] before, she would find the two trees astonishingly similar, only one upright and the other inverted.
Clearly, Jeanne Don Quixote seemed to possess an extraordinary quality, earning her a distinctly different treatment from fellow adventurers or members of adventure teams from other nations.
A tendril indistinguishable from a root or tentacle fell from the giant tree, slipping into her clothes, conducting some kind of special inspection.
Feeling the cold, slippery sensation on her skin, she couldn’t help but scream:
"Ah—! Stop!"
No matter how strong she was, she was still a woman, with particular fears about certain matters. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
Of course, if it were a man here, it might be... even more terrifying.
Tied tightly, her frightened expression made her seem especially pitiable.
The mature and alluring red-haired female captain wore a conspicuously modified navy uniform.
Her legs were smooth and long, and her behind subtly curved the plain white military pants into a round, perked arc.
Especially her bust which was remarkably exaggerated, the uniform strained tight, the endowment described as "always lucky E for spear-wielders, chest also E," nearly invincible within the small world.
Anyone standing before her would fear the brass buttons suddenly popping off and hitting their faces.
[Tree of Life] didn’t discern her thoughts, prodding her nurturing area extra with its branch, evidently quite satisfied.
The next moment, another tendril descended from the top of the giant tree, piercing into the back of her head.
Yet rather than extracting flesh or spirituality, it continued flooding her with streams of orange-red light.
Including the luminescent humanoid on the tree top regarded as the "Ship Spirit" of the Mythical Warship, significant parts entered her body.
The female knight’s beautiful eyes widened, her body convulsing severely, her shoeless feet kicking hard, like a dying fish onshore.
In the spiritual realm, she unsurprisingly encountered an immense and chaotic consciousness.
She could distinctly feel this consciousness swiftly reconstructing order by siphoning divinity and humanity from everyone in the small world.
Knowledge belonging to gods flowed into Jeanne’s brain as well.
She learned secrets of the two Great Floods, knew about the existence of [Mother of Monsters Echidna], understood the futility of human leaders attempting to seize the Ark for escape...
And realized the great tree behind was the trap sown by Mother of Monsters a whole era ago—[Tree of Life] of Kin.
This was the culprit behind why the Ark had taken its current ghastly form.
Initially, during the late Mythological Era, the [Mother of Monsters] intended to invite the Pantheon aboard, leveraging the home-field advantage to achieve another form of "Unity of All Things."
Unexpectedly foiled by the Creator and human gods, with even her backup plan unused, it was truly damned!!!
