Playing inventor in a cultivation world
Chapter 142: Reunion
Meanwhile, Seraph was quietly cultivating in his room, his concentration maxed to the point he started sensing his soul once again. It had been a while since he practiced soul cultivation, so he decided to try the two together.
Although this was risky, he still decided to go through with it. This was a world of cultivation, the boundless skies filled with unknown secrets waiting to be explored.
So, he began to cultivate his soul while cultivating his body too. Instantly, it was as if a flash of lightning had struck him, and his focus sharpened.
’The synchrony of the body and the spirit...’
[Congratulations! You have learnt a new cultivation technique—]
[Synchrony!]
Seraph paused, as this was the first time he had received a system message other than missions to gain Divine Credits.
[Cultivation Technique - Synchrony]
[-"When the soul and the body becomes one, a true existence is born. By cultivating this technique, the user can slowly fuse their soul and body until it is 100% complete."-]
After reading the description, Seraph immediately became interested and began to cultivate it. An hour later, he had to stop, his eyes wide in wonder.
’This... it’s really a huge one.’
Although he hadn’t felt his body and soul miraculously fusing, his cultivation speed had increased by almost ten times. If he continued at this pace, then he would break through into the Peak King Stage cultivation in less than a month.
Usually, for a Core King Stage cultivator to enter the Peak King Stage, they would spend years cultivating before they could reach the desired results.
However, since Seraph was like a filter, only taking in pure spiritual energy, his cultivation speed was faster, and had been shortened to a single year.
Now, however, with this cultivation technique, it had been further shortened to a single month at max.
’Crazy. I can’t help but wonder where this technique came from? Are there others who cultivate it on this continent?’
While he was thinking, he heard a faint commotion coming from the outside, and was surprised when he heard a few familiar voices.
’What are they doing here?’
Sighing to himself, he stood up and walked out of the room. As he headed to the living room, the voices got louder and louder, until he could see everyone present.
Shenn and her daughter, Mira, one of the liars Seraph had given a punishment days ago, Ariana, Dera, Sera, Tamar, and an old man whom he didn’t recognize.
The instant he revealed himself, everyone fell silent. All gazes fell on him, and he couldn’t help but sigh inwardly, ’How troublesome.’
"That’s him! The white-haired demon!"
The purple-faced guy shouted in indignation, almost crying to Ariana.
"He’s the one who made us slap ourselves! Fairies, please punish him!"
Hearing this, the Village Chief, who had never seen Seraph before, narrowed his eyes. He wanted to speak and ask the young man why he had bullied his villagers, but he didn’t dare.
After all, the spiritual pressure of the young man was clear for all to sense. And he couldn’t sense it at all.
What did this mean? It meant that the white-haired young man was far stronger than he was. He could never hold a candle to this youth.
So, he stayed silent and waited for the young fairies to act.
Ariana stepped forward, her eyes trembling.
"Big..."
Abruptly, she vanished.
"No!" Shenn shouted in panic, thinking the silver-haired girl was going to attack Seraph.
She threw herself before him, complicating the matter as three people ended up hugging.
Instead of hugging Seraph directly, Ariana ended up hugging Shenn while pressing the woman against Seraph.
’I already predicted this much trouble,’ sighed Seraph in his heart.
Before he could raise his hands and dislodge from the hug, the twins appeared by his sides and hugged his arms, pressing themselves against him with glee.
Meanwhile, Tamar appeared behind him and ended up wrapping her arms around Ariana’s waist while pressing herself against his back.
The other two men in the room froze, stunned by the sight before their eyes. Four—no, five women were hugging a single man, even though one of them was partially unwilling.
Shenn tried to struggle out of the tight sandwich embrace, but that only made her rub herself against Seraph in indecent ways. In the end, she surrendered herself to inhaling his masculine scent and Ariana’s gentle scent.
"Big brother..." Ariana cooed, her hands wrapped around Seraph’s neck. Although she knew that someone was between them, she didn’t care. As long as she could touch him, then it was fine.
Seraph stayed silent for a few seconds, then said with difficulty. "Can you guys step back for a bit? It’s... pretty tight."
Although Seraph had never been intentionally lustful, he wasn’t a man without desires. Neither was he attracted to men.
Being hugged by five different women, with one of them having her rear perfectly pressed against his crotch, a massive dragon couldn’t help but rise.
Dera’s eyes glinted with mischief, quickly understanding his plight. So, before anyone could make a decision, she sent a voice transmission to the remaining three.
Seraph felt them all stiffen, and he relaxed. At least they understood him. He didn’t want to embarrass himself on such a lovely reun—huh?
Abruptly, the girls tightened the hug, forcing their bodies together with even more vigor.
Shenn gasped, her eyes teary as she felt something pressing against her rear.
’Ah, esteemed guest’s... ah. Why is it so huge?’
She felt like crying, because her curiosity was winning over her sanity. Seraph’s expression hardened when he sensed the woman making some inappropriate movements, so he decided to end this little prank.
Using his spiritual energy, he pushed everyone away, then quickly drained all the blood from his little dragon, letting it fall back into a dormant state.
He glared at Dera, knowing she was the mischievous one behind this act. He had sensed her using voice transmission, and although he could spy on the message, he refrained from doing that as it would be rude and considered a breach in privacy.
Who would think that she was actually plotting against him?
Placing a hand on Shenn’s shoulder, he transfered a bit of his spiritual energy into her body, quelling the brewing lust in her heart. The woman gave him a grateful glance, then walked over to her daughter.
Now, Seraph could focus on the visitors. "How did you know where to find me?"
Ariana didn’t answer. Instead, she stepped forward again and hugged him. Sighing for the nth time, Seraph wrapped his arms around her, gently brushing her silver hair.
Then, he looked at the others. Sera held his gaze for a few seconds, then answered.
"Well, the Sect Master informed us that you were in this village, and that you might need our help."
’Help?’ Seraph tilted his head, but then it clicked.
His sister had just died a little over a week ago. Surely, he was expected to be emotionally devastated.
It was just that he had healed himself a while before they arrived.
"I see. You all should come with me."
It was a long story, and he didn’t want to say it before some strangers. Glancing at the Village Chief and the other guy, he said, "Scram."
The two men immediately took their leave while Shenn and her daughter remained in the living room.
Mira looked at the five people heading to Seraph’s room and couldn’t help but ask.
"Mommy, who are those people?"
Shenn also glanced at them. "They must be his... friends."
"Oh! I see." Mira’s eyes lit up. "Then they must be going to play!"
Shenn blushed instantly, as a different kind of ’play’ played out in her mind. Then, a question appeared in her heart.
’Can he... even handle the five of them?’
She was curious, but this time her rationality won. At least, until she remembered the feeling of the dragon against her backside.
’I think he can. Actually, I’m praying they survive him.’
Meanwhile, unlike what this woman was thinking, Seraph and the four girls weren’t involved in any acts of depravity.
Instead, they were all settled around him as they listened to him recount his journey from becoming a Reaper to going on several missions and encountering his older sister, then his rebellion and Yelena’s death.
Hearing about Yelena, Ariana shot up with a stunned expression, her eyes wide and glistening with tears.
"No, no, no, no, no... Seraph, please tell me you’re joking."
Among everyone present, she was the only one who knew Yelena well enough. After all, they had lived together in the same clan for a decade and had interacted over a hundred times.
Besides, if she was this close to Seraph, how could she not be close to his sister?
Seraph shook his head, a flicker of emotion crossing his eyes.
"Unfortunately, I’m not joking. Yelena died right before my eyes."
Ariana fell silent, then she lunged at Seraph. Crashing into him, they both fell to the ground, and she began to wail loudly like a child which she was.
Although sixteen years old now, Ariana was still a child at heart.
