Pregnant Cultivator, Doted by Big Boss
Chapter 331 - 329: Why Not Just Start Universal Cultivation?
In the video, Aaron Sinclair nodded. "Don’t worry about the Spirit Veins. Once I get things settled here, I’ll go to a Secret Realm and bring back a couple for you. It’ll take some time, though. I need to break through to the Void Refinement Realm first. That way, I can take the Spirit Veins away completely intact."
Someone’s voice called out to her.
"Miss Grant."
"It looks like there’s an accident up ahead. We can’t get through, and the traffic is already piling up behind us."
’So, a traffic accident leading to a traffic jam.’
Traffic accidents were common in the modern world, happening practically every day. But Celeste Grant hadn’t heard the term in a very long time; it felt distant and foreign.
Hearing the voice, Celeste Grant looked at her son in the projection.
"Son, I have to go. Someone’s calling me, so I’m heading out now."
"Okay, Mom. Call me if you need anything."
"Bye-bye."
She waved to her son.
Withdrawing from her sea of consciousness, Celeste Grant opened her eyes.
The car was stopped in the middle of the road, boxed in by other vehicles. She took in the familiar sight and the smell of exhaust fumes in the air.
’This feeling... it’s been a long time.’
The air in The Cultivation World was clean and fresh. A single breath was enough to clear one’s mind and lift one’s spirits. But here, every breath was filled with impure energy and car exhaust.
’Looks like... even if I just want to come back for vacation and get a breath of clean air, I have to do it. Cultivation is a must! Come on, Spiritual Energy, make a comeback!’
Celeste Grant tilted her head slightly, trying to peer out the window. But with cars blocking their view, she couldn’t see what was happening.
That wasn’t a problem for her, though. Celeste Grant simply wiggled a finger, and in the next moment, her vision passed through all obstacles, allowing her to see the scene at the very front.
Her line of sight landed on the crash site. She could hear the panicked cries of adults. A black car was halfway into the greenbelt on the side of the road, its front end caved in and its rear damaged. Nearby, in the middle of the road, was a white car with shattered glass and a crumpled body, partially crushed under a small truck.
Police and paramedics were on the scene, carrying out the rescue.
’It looks pretty bad.’
Leo, the driver, turned to speak to her. "There’s been a traffic accident up ahead, and the road is completely blocked. We’ll just have to wait."
"I’m going to go take a look."
"Miss Grant, you just woke up! You’re still weak, you shouldn’t be walking around."
’Weak? You’ve got to be kidding! I’m perfectly healthy—I could probably smash a tank with one hand right now. Though, it’s true my Primordial Spirit is a bit weak, since it’s fragmented...’
Celeste Grant waved her hand dismissively.
"You wait in the car."
As she spoke, Celeste Grant pushed the door open and got out. Her figure moved past the other cars, heading toward the scene of the accident.
She had changed into a long black dress that Leo had brought for her when she left the hospital. Her long hair was simply tied up with a hairpin, giving her a clean, refreshing, and gracefully elegant look.
Soon, Celeste Grant had woven through the cars and reached the front.
Not far away, police officers and paramedics were performing a rescue.
Other medical personnel were carrying someone away on a stretcher. The scene was quite grim.
A pool of blood marked the spot where the person on the stretcher had been.
At the other car, a police officer was coordinating the rescue efforts.
One of them was shouting directions.
"Hurry up and pry the door open! We need to get this mother and daughter out!"
The window was already smashed.
But the situation inside was bleak; it was impossible to get them out through the window, so they had to remove the door.
"Save... save my daughter... she’s not going to make it..."
"Hang in there. Trust us."
’When you have the power to help, you should.’
Celeste Grant walked forward, grabbed the nearest rescuer by the shoulder, and casually lifted them aside, taking their place.
"Let me. I’m stronger."
Before the rescuers could even react, there was a loud crunch of tearing metal. They watched as she grabbed the dented car door with one hand and ripped it right off its hinges.
After that, she stepped aside.
Soon, the mother and daughter were rescued.
Celeste Grant’s gaze fell on the child, who was limp, motionless, and barely breathing.
’The child has multiple fractures and ruptured internal organs. With current medical technology, she’ll probably be dead by the time they get her to the hospital.’
Celeste Grant stepped forward and stopped the paramedics.
"Wait a moment."
She walked up, an Elixir Pill pinched between her fingers. She used one hand to pinch the little girl’s jaw, forcing her mouth open, and fed her the pill.
Her actions horrified the paramedics.
"What are you doing?!"
"If something happens to this child, can you take responsibility for it?"
Celeste Grant glanced at them and said flatly, "I’m saving her life. If I hadn’t acted, she would have died."
The paramedics were about to say more when they heard a colleague exclaim in shock.
"Quick... look..."
They followed his gaze.
They saw the little girl on the stretcher, who had been on the verge of death, and the wound on her arm was healing right before their eyes.
"Her... the wound on her arm... it’s healed."
"That’s... how is that possible?"
At that moment, they looked like they had seen a ghost, standing there completely dumbfounded. They had probably never encountered anything so outrageous in their entire lives. What kind of medicine could make a wound heal instantly? Was that even scientific?
Celeste Grant knew what they were thinking. She said lightly, "Have you ever considered that what lies at the end of science is the supernatural?" Her own existence was the best proof.
As soon as the words left her mouth, the little girl who had been motionless and on the brink of death suddenly opened her eyes. No... more accurately, she sat straight up on the stretcher.
She just looked a little dazed.
Celeste Grant knew the girl’s soul had been frightened away. She reached out and gently patted the child’s cheek.
"Your mom’s calling you home for dinner."
"My mommy... is calling me for dinner..."
The child’s eyes regained focus, and she became fully lucid. She turned, saw the strangers around her, and burst into tears.
"WAAAH... Mommy..."
"I want my mommy."
Celeste Grant smiled.
"If she’s calling for her mom, then she’s fine."
At that moment, the doctor who had arrived on the scene stared with wide eyes. "This is impossible! My initial examination showed multiple fractures and ruptured internal organs. How could she be healed so quickly?"
As he spoke, he immediately started examining the little girl again. His hands began to tremble.
"She’s... healed. The bones have all mended."
This was completely beyond his comprehension.
Celeste Grant knew she couldn’t stay any longer. She had to leave quickly before she caused a huge sensation.
’I wanted to keep a low profile, but my powers just won’t let me!’
In The Cultivation World, an Elixir Pill like that was just the most common, ordinary kind.
Here, however, it was a completely different story.
’Oh, well.’
’Looks like it’s time to get in touch with the government.’
’Fine by me.’
’Let’s bring on cultivation for all.’
