Chapter 1622: Four In One

[5 Minutes before Kent Severed the Domain]

Kharvok remained on high alert, keeping a close eye on his surroundings as Kent had told him to. He had become very powerful, so Kent knew he would do a good job.

As he watched the battle, he recognised that Kent wasn’t using any other skills aside from his sword skills, which, to him, was the most reckless thing Kent could have ever done.

After all, his opponent wasn’t someone to mess around with.

Kharvok saw that after his awakening and mutation, he alone could take on the Crimson Blood Demon General and walk out alive.

Due to that, he saw the true nature of the demon and knew that using just sword skills wouldn’t cut it. However, even though his young lord found himself in danger, he always seemed to slip away just fast enough for the danger to pass.

He knew deep down that all those miracles shouldn’t have been easy, not when the attacker was a monster in his own right.

However, Kent kept escaping until the domain opened, and he was blinded. A true sword domain is way different from a sword realm. It basically rewrites the laws of the immediate surroundings, giving the owner a supreme advantage.

Just when the sword domain formed, Kharvok saw two individuals appear 30 km from where he stood, each a monster in their own right. He even saw that both of them might be stronger than the Crimson Blood Demon General.

However, he wasn’t about to fear them, not when he himself had become a monster too.

So he approached them, and when the new arrivals saw him, they attacked without question. In their minds, killing Kharvok was as simple as a single swing of their weapons.

However, after the first exchange, it became clear just who they had messed with.

Unfortunately for them, Kharvok managed to trap them in his domain, preventing them from leaving. He wouldn’t allow them to evade the crimson domain and endanger his young lord.

However, just when the domain opened, and Kent was revealed, Kharvok saw a figure move, and before he could even shout, the lady stabbed her sword at Kent’s back.

"Relax, Kharvok," Kent transmitted to him just when the sword appeared behind him. After all, he had seen it come 2 seconds earlier, and so he knew what the lady aimed for.

Just when the sword stabbed him, the lady slipped into his soul, hoping to kill him from the astral plane.

But, well, she clearly underestimated Kent greatly.

When she arrived inside Kent’s Soul Sea, she came face to face with the [Underworld Soul River] opening. Her entire body shuddered, waves of sweat forming on her forehead.

"Since you are here, why don’t you stay,"

A voice came from 20 million km away, yet it sounded as if it were spoken right behind her. Turning sharply, she saw a wingless dragon staring down at her, oozing the power of a God Ascension stage beast.

Her body, on the outside, dropped to her knees, and she passed out.

Meanwhile, Kent had already activated the Resentful Sword Seed he had planted inside the Crimson Blood Demon General.

The moment the poor bastard was able to shrug off the effect of the Genesis Sword Realm, a power slammed into his head, and he passed out. A few seconds later, a message appeared before Kent.

[You have killed the Crimson Blood Demon General.]

"Haaaaa."

Kent sighed, and then he sent his consciousness into his Soul Sea, appearing before the [Underworld Soul River] that had opened, but the river wasn’t summoned.

The demigod lady who had snuck up on him and invaded his soul was pale and on her knees as Linda, the Wingless Tree Dragon that Kent had fought and killed a few times days ago, hovered above her.

When he arrived, Lady Kenzie appeared beside him, munching on an apple.

"Should I kill her?" she asked, though Kent sensed a hesitation in her tone. Clearly, as someone who had cultivated the Life Dao, killing wasn’t in her nature.

"I have a few questions for her. Afterwards, I will decide what I want to do with her."

She nodded and decided to stand to the side.

As Kent approached the lady, her body began to tremble, the fear in her eyes deepening.

"Relax, young lady, I have no interest in killing you. I just want to ask some questions, and based on your answers, I will decide whether or not to keep you alive."

"First question, are you one of the Dark Lich Experiments?"

Her expression changed from fear to shock. However, she answered the question she was asked.

"Yes. Lord Dark is my one true master."

"I see. Then how many of you are out there?"

"I don’t know. However, my team is made up of three others, one of whom you just fought, and judging by the fact that you are here, you have killed him. The other two are outside with your subordinate."

Kent nodded.

He had already seen that Kharvok was locked in battle with two others, a female and a male. While they looked more like beasts than humans, he recognised them as Forbidden Beasts who had attained partial True Awakening.

"What is your name?"

"I don’t have a name. But my teammates call me Green, maybe because of my hair."

"How many of you were sent here after me?"

"I don’t know that either. But if we are here, then I am sure others aren’t far behind."

Kent smiled and nodded.

He didn’t even have to ask, since he knew the Grand Dark Lich would send all his Forbidden Beasts his way. After all, he sought to kill him, and Kent himself wanted to ensure his plans didn’t succeed in the end.

Too bad the dark lich had decided to offend one of the best Beast Tamers in the universe. Even without awakening his Divine Beast Tamer abilities, he could do much more.

"Here is my proposal: become my Beast Companion, and in return, I will awaken your True Forbidden Bloodline, Innate Body, and finally give you a chance to transcend beyond the True Forbidden Beast stage.

If you don’t believe me, ask yourself this question: why did the Grand Dark Lich send all of you after me?"

She was an intelligent being, so the question was enough to prompt her to think.

"Uhm, Master, can I resurrect that red-skinned demon now? After he died, I saw this blue screen appear before my eyes, saying that if I resurrect him within five minutes, I would get a pill that would awaken more of my powers."

"Oh, go ahead and resurrect him then."

Kent smiled and turned to the lady. "Let me know when you come up with a decision."

Kent opened his eyes on the outside, and a green fruit manifested in his hand.

"Squeeze the juice into his mouth or nose, and he will wake up."

Kent followed the method as he was told.

However, the moment the juice entered the Crimson Blood Demon General’s mouth, a Forbidden Contract appeared and merged with him.

"How convenient." Kent smiled and turned to the battle where Kharvok had brought the two other Forbidden Beasts to their knees.

His smile widened, and just then, the lady inside his Soul Sea made her decision. This caused Kent to laugh out loud, a part of him wondering just what kind of luck he had stepped into.

’This is what you call four in one. I came for one Forbidden Beast and ended up walking away with four.’

Somewhere far away, the Grand Dark Lich screamed, his fury burning like firewood dipped in oil.
